urbnmamaatl says "The Baby Einstein Discover and Play Entertainer is the best!" about Baby Einstein Discover and Play Entertainer

I love this toy! It still keeps my 20 month old entertained when my 3 month old is hanging out in it! I LOVE all the bright colors and I also love the part where the animal is pushed and it says the name of the animal, then does the sound, then says the name in a different language and then plays music!

urbnmamaatl says "Medela Pump in Style is the best gift I received!" about Medela Pump in Style

I was given a Pump In Style when I was pregnant with my first in 2006. It was from 1998 and it still worked like it was brand new! AND it is still chugging along today!! I love that it allows you to choose whether you want to double it up or just pump one side at a time. It is the only pump that has ever worked on me and I have tried others. Where I gave birth to my second a few months ago, the hospital only had Ameda pumps through the Lactation Consultants, and let me tell you, they were terrible compared to this! AND, it was even the hospital grade kind that are supposed to drain the milk in seconds!

The Medela Pump In Style is the one of the things I recommend to all my friends that are registering for their baby showers!!
...

urbnmamaatl says "Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing is a LIFE SAVER!" about Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

The Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing has saved my life! Not literally, but it has given me a bit of sanity in the crazy first 3 months of my newborns life! A few weeks after I delivered my second child we found out we were moving across the country and thankfully was given this swing! My first son wasn't too crazy about it, but my second son LOVES it! I love that it can swing one of the two ways, side to side or front to back! It's perfect! I recommend this swing to anyone I know who is having a baby!
...

urbnmamaatl says "I think it's a placebo!" about Hyland's Teething Tablets

I bought these teething tablets for my oldest son when he started showing signs of teething. I have friends who swear by them. So I thought, "What the heck?! It's all natural!" Negative! Totally didn't work at all! Well, that is not totally true, the only reason he would stop crying was when the tablet was dissolving on his tongue because it felt funny (I tried one). So, I am not an advocate of the Hyland's Teething Tablets because they don't really work. Why not just give your child some real pain relief?!
...

urbnmamaatl says "My son loves it!" about Parent's Choice Gentle Formula

The PC Gentle Formula is so great. I am so thankful I found it. My son was breastfed until 9 months and then I put him on formula, I tried a couple of different kinds but everything made him have terrible gas pain and burp a lot and spit up. But Parent's Choice Gentle Formula dissolves great, easy on the tummy, and no spit up! It's also HALF the price of the Enfamil Gentlease (which this is modeled after)! So, that was also a huge plus for us!

I was a little skeptical at first because I want the best for my son and the thought of buying the 'off brand' made me nervous. But, I did it anyways and I love that I trusted my instinct! Now we are paying half of what we would if I were to buy the Brand name formula.

Buy it. Use it. Save money!
...

urbnmamaatl says "The stroller every parent should own!" about BOB Trailer Revolution Jogger Stroller

Oh BOB! We found this stroller prior to having out first child and we REALLY excited! It's the most manueverable stroller in the world. I can steer it with one hand, due to the swivel wheel in the front and my son absolutely adores it! I even bought the snack tray/infant seat bar for it because it's the only stroller we use.

I take it to the mall, to the airport...everywhere! It even fits through the security at the airport, and it's so easy to fold up and one of the greatest parts is that when you are putting it back in the car the wheels allow you to just slide it on into the car. Without much effort! It's nice for me I am not a very tall woman, but have a pretty big SUV, so it makes my life SO much easier!

We are about to have our 2nd child and will be purchasing a double BOB!

GET IT! It is totally worth the money! We even researched and found one that was the previous years model, so it was highly discounted! Oh buy it, you wont' regret it at all!
...

urbnmamaatl says "Not a huge fan of the material these are made of." about Pampers Swaddlers

I was so excited when I had my son because the Pampers Swaddlers are SO tiny and cute! And not to mention super soft. I fell in love. ((swoon))

I had been using them for about a week when I realized that he would wake up at night and his pajamas would be damp. I didn't think anything of it at first and then it was a perpetual thing. Wet pjs. And if you have ever had a newborn, you know that changing their clothes is NEVER a very joyful experience.

So, after a few months of grinning and bearing it, I had to switch to a different diaper. Not only is the material the diaper is made of not super absorbent, there is so much perfume in the Pampers brand that it started giving my son rashes.

Maybe I just have a big wetter or something, but I am a Huggies Natural Care mom now. They fit much better than Pampers and they don't smell as strong.
...

urbnmamaatl says "The out of range notifier is priceless!" about Sony BabyCall Nursery Monitor NTM-910 900 MHz

The Sony Baby Call was recommended by a friend and I am so thankful she did! It is awesome. It had 2 different choices, regular-which all monitors have and you can hear the constant static, or VOICE which is heavenly! The monitor is silent until the baby moves or makes a noise. So it only picks up noises in the room.

The monitor also has an alarm that beeps at you if you are out of range with the base.

I feel very safe with this monitor in my child's room. I also love that the monitor has rechargeable batteries! So, in 9 months I have never had to put new batteries in there because they charge at night when it's plugged in next to my bed!

Oh, I think every household with children should own this monitor. It is truly awesome.
...

urbnmamaatl says "AMAZING transition from breast to bottle!" about Sassy MAM Bottles

These are the only bottles I could get my son to take. I also love that they are BPA free. The nipple of the bottle is great for breast fed babies that are trying to transition to the bottle because they put their mouth around it just like they do the breast. I am a HUGE fan of these bottles and they are the only ones we will ever use in my home! I just wish MAM made sippy cups similar to the bottle!

The only con I can see is that since hand-washing bottles is what is recommended nowadays, the bottle does have a plastic rubbery piece that fits snuggly into the bottom of the bottle (in order to get the bubbles/air out while the baby is drinking), it can be a bit of a pain to clean.

But in my opinion, the pluses totally outweigh the minuses!
...
