I sometimes use it as a substitute desktop. There are faster models out there but this laptop serves my purposes well. It is user friendly and does everything I ask it.  Not a gamer, but laptop users are more interested in mobility for business and personal use.... I use it all the time.  Don't need a data plan to connect to WiFi Hotspots.  Sync-ing with Outlook is a breeze. I have ripped my own ringtones and put them on the device.  Camera is pretty good quality for a phone.  Battery life is better than average, but it is still wise to have a back-up on hand.  For $20 you can get a cradle and extra battery....
