uabzeta says "Not a complete waste of time" about RUINS

I saw this movie on cable last night. I had never heard of it before and when I read the decription ong the cable guide it seemed interesting.

The start of the movie seemed like any other horror movie....college kids on spring or summer break on a beach at some far off destination....boring. Then enter the foreign guy that shakes things up and asks if they want to go on an adventure. To me, the movie started off very slowly.

When they get to the ruin in the Mexican Jungle things get interesting. I do not want to spoil it for those who have not seen the movie and read this review, but I can say that this movie really makes you think twice about jungle plant life. This is another movie that made me think..."what if?" The idea of a body snatching plant is a tropical rain forest is not that far fetched.

You should see this movie
...

uabzeta says "What if it really happened!" about The Happening

I saw this movie for the first time last night on either Cinemax or Showtime. I guess I can say I am a fan of M. Night Shyamalan. His movies always make you think and are truly a break from any normal plot or story lines. I must say, even though some parts of this movie are slow paced, the overall appeal is favorable. This movie really made me think, "what if...?" I have a soft spot for movies that intrigue me, and this one goes to the top of the list.

Great job M. Night!
...

uabzeta says "Shaun T. is no joke" about Hip Hop Abs

I received the Hip Hop Abs set as a gift from a friend. She was actively on the program and looking great, so I expressed some interest. Honestly, it took me about a month to even take the wrapper of the boxed set. Once I did, I was excited to get started.

In the box they have a meal plan, measuring tape, a little progress chart and 3 to 4 different programs on the dvds.

I read everything that came in the box. I knew the meal plan was not going to be a reality for me, so I did my own thing about the food. I started with the first workout and had to push myself to finish. I was entertained and felt like I had done some work. I worked up a wonderful sweat. Shaun T. is hilarious to me.

The next day I was time strapped, so i popped in the 5 minute workout...OMG! I could not even complete 5 minutes! I was soooo impressed and defeated at the same time.

What I have found with the program, just like any other, is you have to keep at it in order to see results. Shaun T. is under the......

uabzeta says "Not my favorite, but still workable" about Old Navy The Diva Skinny Jeans

I really like Old Navy. When it comes to their jeans, for me these things are hit or miss. The Diva fit jeans are cute and trendy. Divas have the slim leg that looks great with all different types of shoes. But, the top of the jean...at the waist the jeans are low rise...I have a huge issue with gaping. You see, I am a pear shaped lady. These jeans for me fit in the leg, thigh, hips and butt, but that dang waist. Ugh. Wearing a belt when there is gaping only makes the problem worse.

Other than the gaping issues, these jeans are cute and are a good value. They last a long time....

uabzeta says "I love these jeans, they make the booty look great!" about Old Navy Sweetheart Classic Rise Stretch Jeans

I am an avid Old Navy jeans shopper. I first bought these jeans last year during the holiday season, so I caught them on a good sale. At first, I bought the size I normally get (which shall remain nameless), and did not try them on at the store. I bought a few other items and I was so excited about the purchase. I got home and tried on the jeans, and to my surprise...that were too big! I was happy and perplexed at the same time. To my knowledge I had not lost any weight. I took the wrong size back and exchanged for the next size smaller. I tried them on at home and YES...they fit perfectly. The waist fit just right, there was not any of that strange, ugly gaping at the back that we pear shaped girls experience. My booty seemed lifted and firm, my thighs seemed smaller...I looked so good. My sister-in-law even commented on how much smaller I looked. These were a great buy. Now, I must have them in every color and wash!...

My husband and I stayed here on a few occasions because we had to leave our house, which was in Bessemer at the time. This hotel is not the best. The rooms are small, and so are the beds. My husband is 6'6'' and 270 lbs, so there was always something hanging off the bed. They really stay true to the idea of an economy hotel, even down to the shower. There is no tub, only a shower that is very efficient and also small.

The only problem I really had was the lone roach I saw on one of our stays. I just killed it and kept going.

For my husband and I at the time, the room was a great value since we did not have money to splurge on a room. We were only going to be out of the house for a couple days.

This hotel is what it is.
...
