tyche says "Cocktail flights which take u on a trip!" about Nacional 27 - Chicago, IL

We went to Nacional 27 for my friend's birthday and might I say - they have most amazing the cocktail flights -my favorite being the El Corazon and the Mojito with habanero pepper in it! I like the fact that it saves you from having to think about your next drink when the first one starts working. — We had the family style meal for appetizers and desserts and there was more than enough for all 6 of us. Starters were a sampler of all the appetizers and my favorite was the plantain corquetta. I ordered the skirt steak for the main course and asked for it to be medium but it came back medium well - still yummy but people should keep in mind that they seem to have a different level of doneness that what I consider normal. — — I finished the flan and my friend licked the sorbet clean; rich chocolate, almost too rich if you ask me and I also found the creme brulee a little too eggy for my taste. I would highly recommend...

tyche says "You can't ever go back to the PC world!" about MacBook - Apple MacBook Pro

As a User Interface programmer, I don't know what is more painful - knowing that the majority of the world still used Internet Explorer on the PC or my dentist appointment. We had to use a Windows PC for work in order to program on Internet Explorer browsers. — — I was happy as a clam the day I heard that we were getting the MacBook Pro @ work with Windows running on it. Virtual Life's so much brighter and more beautiful on a Mac. It has an inbuilt camera and come with all the cool widgets that you can get easily used to - weather, calendar, post-its @ the touch of a button. — — My friend once said "What I love about my MacBook Pro is, it doesn't mysteriously die on you". As someone who has had to redo lot of work from the Blue Screen Death on a PC, I totally agree with him. I was happy Linux user but I am an even happier MacBook owner. My one recommendation to fellow Mac users, get TextMate if you need an IDE. It rocks!! — — ...

tyche says "If God is in the details, NY NY would be heaven" about New York - New York Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas, NV

We didn't stay here - I only am gonna review the casino floor and the Broadway Burger Joint in the hotel. The Casino is split into sections based of real neighbourhoods in NYC. Times Square, Greenwich Village, Liberty - u get the idea. So much work has gone into the interior and it is so cool to see the life like parking meters and graffiti on the walls. — — Broadway burger in Greenwich Village was simply superb. I have had some good burgers but this was jus perfect midnight snack after a night of gambling in the casino. If you love souvinier hunting like me, check out their stores on level 2 - fridge magnets for $1 and some real cool shot glasses. — — So even if you didn't stay here, do come in and have a look...

tyche says "Grand is definitely worth the price " about MGM Grand Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas, NV

Having decided to fly out for the July 4th weekend on July 2nd, we went to Las Vegas. We stayed at the MGM and I definitely was appreciative of our receptionist who offered us choices based on our preferance of room, view and floor. Comfy beds and oh so cool bathrooms. I think their conditioner is actually better than the salon ones I use. I was so tempted to ask for a sample to bring home ;-) and no I didn't do it! — — They have the Cirque de Soliel show titled KA, which was magnificient - you get a 30% discount for the show for having stayed @ the MGM. Lion habitat for kids and ginormous pool makes it a family friendly place as well. — — However, MGM is @ the south end of the strip and if you plan to check out the other casino in the north strip be prepared to walk a lot! Also, you had to walk @least 10-15 mins to get from room to parking lot or other areas of the hotel. — —...

tyche says "Wall-eeeeeeeee made me very happ-eeeeeeeeee" about Wall-E

I went to see Wall-e after hearing a co-worked rave about it -It was definitely one of the good decisions I have made recently with movies. I loved Wall-e and his huge mechanical heart. :) I think Pixar has done a fabulous job of a non-dialogue oriented movie in this case. Wall-e and Eva both mostly jus say each others name but their tone and gestures conveys all that there is to it. — — Simple plot, engaging antics and a pet cockroach. What more can you ask for? I say go watch it today! Oh - keep the city clean ;)...

tyche says "The Uptown bar to go to!" about The Bar on Buena - Chicago, IL

I stumbled upon the Bar on Buena on my way to the Uptown library - Ya, go figure. Beer follows me or I follow Beer. Either way we find each other. — — Patio, couches, booths, bar-stools and tables... As far as seating go, I think they have it covered. Good brew selection and some not-so-easy-to-find beers on tap and served in the right glass as well. They also have a good bottle collection and some real cool specials like $5 martini nites. I am a huge fan of the Spicy chicken wrap and the sweet potato fries. It is crowded over the weekends but on any given day, you can find a place for a small party easily enough....

tyche says "Coffee like no where else in Chi-town" about Intelligentsia - Chicago, IL

Love their coffee so much that my friends and I do the mile long hike to Intelligentsia once a week. I can't decide which one item on their list is my favorite. I enjoy em all... Even their teas are fantastic - Iron Godess of Mercy is my fav among the tea they carry. In the summer, Admiral Byrd's freeze is the best way to chill out. — I am also very partial to the zucchini bread they serve and the Black Cat Brownies... yummm!!! —...

Roti - My friend dragged me to this joint on Monroe and Riveside on our walk back from the gym - Love the food... A totally different take on medit food. The falafel salad is sooooo yummmy. Love it and so is the chicken sandwiches and gyros. They also hand out the punch cards - so eat 10 and you get one free.... If you are addicted like me, thatz a good thing. —...

tyche says "Spicy Thai food rocks!!!" about Thai Aroma - Chicago, IL

As a food lover, I am always on a look out places to eat and this place next to laundry mat doesn't look inspiring but I love it. I eat here @ least once a month and love the fact that I get to decide how spicy hot is. My favourites are Spicy Basil and the Green curry. It also serves all its entree as a vegeterian option. It amazes how cheap this place is. U can have dinner for 2 with dessert for less than $25!...
