tpiercefield says "Im Addicted To My Wii" about Nintendo Wii Console

I bought the Wii becuase it was cheap, it looked fun, and I wanted to finally play some real Nintendo franchises (I didn't have a Gamecube)

First, the good.

-Motion controlls are amazing, and fun

-games are cheaper than 360/PS3 games

-Console is cheaper than the others

-Nintendo has the absolute best 1st party games

-Tons of extras including a Weather channel, News Channel, Mii channel (little figures that resemle you that you can play as in some games), you can also use the Wii to surf the internet (parental controlls included) and there is a Virtual Console, in which, you can download some of the retro Videogames onto your Wii's 512 mb memory.

-Finally, though the Wii does support WiFi games (games that can be played using the internet), not many games are WiFi compatable, and the WiFi system itself kinda sucks. Also, there are no headsets, or any way of communicating with who you are playing with over the Wii WiFi.

The Bad:

-Since it isn't as powerfull as the 360 and PS3, most...
...

tpiercefield says "PS3 Is Sweet" about Playstation 3 - 60GB

As of today I really enjoy my PS3 (but currently waiting for games like FFXIII). Not only do we not have to buy a lot of peripherals (Nintendo) but as of now, the blue-ray disc R, now the dominant HD format on the market. The 360 used the DVD-HD format and required you to buy the drive separately. I've got family with the 360 and the Wii, and I find that my PS3 is better, faster and prettier than those other systems.

Unlike most people, graphics is low on my standards and I give more emphasis to gameplay and story if any.

Most of this is on the gaming side. On everything else, its like another PC in my house (A mid-high end one).

but if anything happens to it. its a hassle to get it fixed..

My Audio Went Out On My PS3 and The Sony store were I purchased the unit would not exchange it so I was forced to call the customer service line.

When I called the service line and was hung up on three times due to high call volume. After the 4th try I remained on hold for over 30 minutes. Sony...
...

tpiercefield says "Not As Well As I Thought" about Clearasil Clearasil Daily Face Wash

I bought this stuff on recommendation from a bunch of friends. At first it seemed to work, but after using it for close to a month now I don't believe it is. While I haven't had as many bigger zits, I am having a lot of smaller ones. My pores are still dark and I'm pretty much still at the pre-breakout stage.

So I wouldn't say that this product has solved my problems, but I can't say that its made them worse either. There's no way of knowing whether I would have had the breakout by now or not had I not been using clearasil. But its not preventing me from getting zits, and my skin's the worst its been. Not blaming that on the product- it might be preventing things from getting worse- who knows? Bottom line is that its not clearing things up so I'm going to look to other products.

Can't complain about the price tho- was like 7 bucks Canadian and its lasted over a month now, and is maybe half gone. The tube says 100+ applications and this might be about right.
...

tpiercefield says "Eat Great With W.W" about Weight Watchers

I really didn’t think that this weight watchers program was worth the money. I actually gained weight during the course, and found it unpleasant and useless.

All the meetings can provide is advice, someone will tell you, “don’t eat so much food”, and “do exercise”, but it’s really up to you. Therefore it requires self-motivation. I found it difficult to motivate myself, and thought that paying $10 would entitle me to more help.

Another problem was that i found one of the women at the class to be a bit aggressive. This rather ruined the meetings, I was actually quite scared. Although i’m sure this is not the case at the majority of meetings.

I went to the classes for 9 weeks. Total cost, $90. Total gain, 10 pounds. I recommended this form of weight loss only for the well motivated and strong willed. To be honest I really could not be bothered.

Some Of The Food Was Really Good and then there was some food that was just Nasty..the portions are small. i guess im just...
...

tpiercefield says "This is a Great Product" about Ameda Purely Yours Carry All Breast Pump (No Tote)

I was very impressed with this pump. I researched (to death) breast pumps as I planned to keep nursing even after returning to work. As recommended by the Baby Bargains book- which is a must-read, I chose and bought this one from the other brands and I'm so happy I did! I used it for 9 mos straight, carried it back & forth to work- it was so lightweight that it wasn't an inconvenience during my 1.5hr commute to work. The best part about this pump is that you can regulate the cycle (how fast) and suction (how strong) of the pump. Also, the hygieni-kit is a marvelous idea- none of the other parts come in contact w/ the breastmilk, so clean-up is a breeze. You just basically have to wash the flasks & bottles used after each pump session. You can also pump ...
...

tpiercefield says "I Love My Chi" about Chi Flat Iron

The CHI has stolen my heart!. I love my Chi. I have had it about 1 1/2 years now. That is until I discovered the CHI. It quickly heats up and is a breeze to use. With other flatirons, it would sometimes take two hours to straighten my hair and it would still be "poofy". When I used the CHI my hair was stick straight and shiny. So straight in fact, that my ponytail holder would slide out my hair! The only drawback is that the CHI is not durable at all. After three months one of the plates started to fall off and the wiring began to short out. The product is superior, but for such a hefty price tag, one would think that the CHI would pack some staying power. It makes my hair silky smooth and it stays straight on even the most humid days! Just make sure that when you use a flat iron, especially everyday like I do....make sure that you buy a good shampoo and conditioner for your hair. That will help to keep your hair strong and healthy. I use a deep conditioner once a week. Also, I use the...
...

tpiercefield says "Sunsilk makes my hair soft" about Sunsilk Soft and Manageable Shampoo

I bought this shampoo at a local market nearby. It comes in a pink container and it's not that expensive. As the tv commercial says, "Put the spell on your hair" (according to them, it's the softness spell). And yes, it did put d spell on my hair. But the other way. Instead, my dry hair got even drier after days of using this shampoo. I could'nt even comb my hair with my fingertips anymore! The smell is good, very light, you can only smell it right after taking a bath). After an hour or two, you can't smell it anymore. It's not long-lasting unlike its other competitor.

I dont know what's with this shampoo that made my hair unmanageable. There are some rumors here in our country that this shampoo contains an ingredient used in the process of embalming, particularly, formaldehyde, i think. Maybe they are using it to prevent the growth of germs in the shampoo. But formaldehyde is scary. That chemical is used in manufacturing and chemical industries, and as a preservative by anatomists,...
...

tpiercefield says "I Have Used Better" about Quattro Shick Quatro

i have been using this razor for a year or so...just figured it was a good enough razor...figured ingrowns & stubble were just a part of it all...it is pretty much exactly the same if not a little worse than the schick quattro for men. i am compelled to write this review because just the other day i tried my roommate's gilette venus --- a MILLION times better at getting a close shave, especially for the bikini area....i then compared the two razors to figure out what the heck was the difference! with the quattro the plastic edges at the sides sides of the blades are too high to allow the blades to hit the skin for a smooth clean shave. terrible for bikini area...does just OK on legs & underarms. get the venus instead!
...
