toots1960 says "It's so easy to enjoy old records on current media." about Sony - Stereo Turntable System PS-LX300USB

After complaining for years about not being able to enjoy my records, my husband bought me a Sony Turntable this past Xmas. One of the nicest things about this new turntable is that it can connect to my computer via a USB cable, from which I can then burn a cd! It's the coolest. However, listening to records and hearing them sound the way they were meant to be heard (you know - canned sounds, scratchiness, etc.) totally takes me back to my high school days, laying on the bed, listening to my records, talking on the phone for hours - AWESOME!
...

toots1960 says "Not bad, but I still prefer my Swiffer Dusters" about Pledge Duster Plus Multi-Surface Wands with Spray

I ended up giving my Pledge Duster Multi-Surface Wand & Spray away. It was more hassle than it was worth. I definitely prefer my Swiffer Dusters - any polishing I prefer to do with Pledge, etc....

toots1960 says "A true classic." about Shalimar by Guerlain 1oz Eau De Perfume Spray for Women

This perfume has remained my most favorite scent for over 25 years. It's clean and pretty and puts a smile on my face every time I spray it on. To me, it doesn't smell like anything else on the market, which makes me feel kinda unique when I'm wearing it. I pray that they never stop making it....

toots1960 says "When I wear Avon's Vanilla, everyone calls me Cookie - luv it" about Avon Naturals Body Spray

I have a really hard time finding any scents, cheap to expensive, that not only smell good to me, but on me. Avon's Naturals Body Spray (actually, the entire line) in VANILLA smells so good and simple and happy. Everyone calls me COOKIE cuz I wear it well - I've only ever gotten compliments, nothing negative. ...

toots1960 says "Absolutely hilarious - much of the time, it's right on target" about That '70s Show

I grew up in the 70's (born in 1960) - this show is, in many ways, a fairly accurate view of white middle america. Yeah, sometimes they use slang from today, but for the most part, they are on target and just too funny. My fiance, who is 16 years younger than me, loves it just as much, as does my 21 year old son. The costume designers on the show must shop thrift stores just looking for 70's clothing because, every so often, one of the girls wears something that I or a friend from that time wore - there is a red t-shirt Jackie sometimes wears that I owned at age 15 - I have pictures of me in it. It's those little things, on top of the awesome characters, that keeps me watching every single re-run.
...
