 That's about all I liked about this thing. 
 
 The MOST irritating thing: The lid does not come off very easily! There is a clear plastic insert in the middle of the lid that comes off to add items while blending.. but when you try to remove the lid with this handle/insert, then the insert comes off, leaving the lid firmly in place. I cannot believe the designers even tried to remove the lid when they built prototypes. 
 
 The second irritating thing: It's noisy as all get out, and vibrates like a son of a gun. 
 
 And finally.. it's CHEAP.. after ~4 months of light use, the bottom plastic gear on the bottom of the glass container (the one that meshes with the base gears, and turns the blades to blend) shattered!
