tjwielenga says "Great laptop with all you'll ever need for great price" about Toshiba Satellite L305-S5933

The Toshiba Satellite L305-S5933 is a great laptop which I got for a great price from Newegg.com. It was only $449.99 with free shipping. It has Windows Vista Home Premium and I use the Media Center to connect to my HD USB TV turner for a great viewing experience. I also use it for wireless internet access at my home. The 3GB of RAM makes it very quick. The 250GB hard drive gives tons of space for your pictures, music and videos. The 15.4 inch widescreen is crystal clear and bright. It has a built in webcam and microphone that I have not really used much other than to see if it worked initially. It has decent stereo speakers and a handy volume control in the front. All the controls and ports are easily accessible on the front or side of the computer. The only downside is all the additional software that comes on these machines. I spent a good couple hours removing all the software that I did not want. Overall, this is a great laptop and if you can find the deal I...
...

tjwielenga says "This food chopper is handy for so many different things!" about Pampered Chef Cutting Edge Food Chopper

The Pampered Chef Cutting dge Food Chopper was something I had always wanted when I went to Pampered Chef parties but I'm too cheap to ever buy for myself. I received one as a wedding gift eight years ago and I love it so much that if I hadn't gotten it as a gift, I would have gone out and bought one! I use it to chop quite a range of foods but usually for cornflakes or crackers for chicken coating or graham cracker crust. I also like to chop into an empty cool whip container since it keeps it "contained" rather than on a cutting board. It also comes apart for easy cleaning. I have found that you do not want to let it sit after chopping veggies because they will really stick but if you give it a quick rinse it will clean no problem. I have used this chopper for eight years and the blades are still sharp and it is functioning with no problem! I wiould recommend this item to anyone who likes to cook - it will make your job easier!
...

tjwielenga says "Love this chair for the value!" about Victory Land Group, Inc Recliner

We bought this Victory Land Group, Inc Recliner at a Pamida store because it was on sale and a fraction of the cost of any others we had seen like it. We weren't sure how it would hold up being so "cheap" but we have been pleasantly surprised! It is super stylish and looks great with my orange walls and tan microsuede couch. It is also very comfortable. My spouse and I are opposites as far as size (6'2" and 4'10") and it fits us both great. Even our little boys can climb up and share the chair for story time. It seems to have quite a bit of space for such a "small" chair! The foot rest pops out with little effort and goes back into place easily. If I had a larger living room, I would purchase another one in a minute. Everyone compliments the chair when they come over and can't believe that it's not real leather. It requires some assembly when you get it but we put it together quite easily with the simple instructions. I recommend this chair!
...

tjwielenga says "Great for the price!" about Safety 1st Crystal Clear Monitor

The Safety 1st Crystal Clear Monitor has worked great for both our boys. It picks up even their breath and the transmitter is at least five feet away. I love it that I can take it out to my shop behind the garage and the signal still reaches just fine. Or there is the option of using the batteries and there is a clip (howbeit not a real well-made one) for my paints so I can work in my landscaping and carry it around with me. If I get the two units too close together however, the receiver will give off a high pitched squeal. Also sometimes if I plug the receiver into the same outlet as my phone charger, etc., it gets fuzzy. For the price, it is an excellent moniter. I recently have started using a noisy air purifier in my baby's room so it really picks up the noise of the purifier, but if I keep the volume down it is not loud enough to be obnoxious but I can still hear when my baby wakes up from a nap.
...

tjwielenga says "Super stylish and compact." about Eddie Bauer Natural Wood High Chair

The Eddie Bauer Wooden High Chair was my first choice because of overall appearance. I do not like my house to look like you're walking into a daycare and with this chair I didn't have to give up style! It looks like a nice piece of furniture. The trays are great. The one is dirty and not washed yet, you just lift it and use the one under it. That also comes off and you still have a little "mini" tray for snacks. The pad slips easily over the chair and velcros on. It washes up nicely but sometimes I have a hard time keeping the velcro attached. It is also not the easiest to clean when food spills down unto the wood seat. Trying to get inbetween the wood slats can be tough. I love that there is a storage shelf under the seat. I use it to keep all my baby's bibs. The drawbacks woudl be it only has one position and it is fairly heavy to move around. But with the weight comes durabilty. I would recommend this highchair!
...

tjwielenga says "This is a must-have for any breastfeeding mother!" about Ameda Purely Yours Carry All Breast Pump (No Tote)

My First son decided he didn't want to nurse from me anymore, but knowing that breastmilk is the best for a baby, and not wanting to fork over money for expensive formula, I decided to buy the Ameda Purely Yours breast pump and give him my milk in bottles. I used this pump several times a day for about eight months. I had enough milk saved up in the freezer that I had a month worth of feedings after I stopped pumping. Now baby number two is here and thankfully loves to nurse, but I still pull out this pump to have a bottle on hand for when I'm going to leave him with a babysitter or go somewhere where I don't want to bother with wearing "nursing friendly" clothes. It comes with extra peices which is a good thing because once one of the little rubber attachments went down the garbage disposal but there were two spares. Also, you can easily just pump one side by plugging one tube. I could even do it hands free and surf the internet while I pumped. Highly recommend this product!...
...
