tickles says "Netflix is great for anyone who likes movies." about Netflix

I am disabled and housebound and it is very hard for me to go to a movie theater or places like Blockbuster. Up until I discovered Netflix I usually only watched whatever movies were being shown on network tv. Not a good selection...and by the time they cut all the "good stuff" out...well, let's just say I was usually left shaking my head in confusion.

I had heard a lot about Netflix and always wondered how it worked. I thought...sounds like a good idea. But I honestly didn't think it would be feasible. I thought it would take a week to get the movies and then another week sending it back. It just didn't seem worth it to me. Well, I saw about the 2 wk. free trial so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered my movies and then thought I'd have a long wait. Imagine my surprise when I received the movies I ordered in 2 days. that's right...2 days! And these were movies that had just been released. Usually if I tried to get a movies that had just been released at Blockbuster...
...

tickles says "inventive and entertaining" about LEGO Bionicles

My 11 yr. old son loves Bionicle by Lego. It is a new version on the old Lego blocks we all remember from when we were kids. But now they have a new set where you can build robotic monsters/warriors.

What I like about Bionicles is that it can keep my child entertained for hours. He has about 5 different Bionicles but he can combine them to make something new everytime. Also, you can't beat the price. They usually run between $9.99 - $15.99 for the single Bionicles at Wal-mart. But there are also more complicated Bionicle with more pieces that do cost a little more. So whatever your budget is you should be able to find something that isn't goint to break the bank!

...

tickles says "Pokemon Pinball rocks!" about Nintendo - Pokemon Pinball Ruby and Sapphire

I love, love, love Pokemon. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl? Got it! Ruby and Sapphire? Those too! Fire Red and Leaf Green? Do you even have to ask?

Right now my Pokemon obsession is being fueled by Pokemon Pinball/Ruby and Sapphire for the Nintendo SP. I know it is an older game but one that I just recently discovered. My little boy bought it used a couple of months ago for $14.99. He quickly lost interest in it but once I started playing I was hooked.

I was a child of the 80's and remember many a night spent hanging out in the local arcade playing the various video games. Pokemon Pinball for a handheld is remarkably complicated and fast-paced. Very exciting to play. It has all the usual bells and whistles with the added bonus of catching Pokemon. Right now, my high score is 3,486,162,683!! (give me a second while I pat myself on the back!)

With a little dexterity and luck you can play for hours on one game...racking up the points and catching and evolving Pokemon. ...
...

tickles says "Love, Love, Love Dick Donato!" about Big Brother 8

This Season of Big Brother was the best one yet. Due for the most part to Dick Donato.

Dick appeared to have split America straight down the middle...You either loved him or hated him. For my part I loved Dick Donato. Yes, Dick was rude, crude and tattooed. He had the whole aging bad boy rocker thing down pat. And if that had been all there was to Dick then he would have bored me to tears before the first week was over. But Dick Donato had a heart and his goal to improve his relationship with his daughter Daniele was very emotional and heart-warming. Time and time again Dick would deliberately anger the other houseguests in order to take the focus off his daughter. Everyone hated Dick so much in the game that Daniele was given the opportunity to advance.

Don't misunderstand me, Daniele was the best player in the game at the physical challenges, and everytime either Dick or Daniele was on the block they came through in the clutch by wnning either the veto or head of household. ...
...

tickles says "watching the new tv show chuck makes me smile." about chuck

I am really enjoying the new tv show Chuck on monday night. The story is about a hapless young man (slightly nerdish) and his adverntures in life once he inadvertantly becomes embroiled in the secret spy world.

Chuck as played by Zachary Levi is funny, sweet, smart and just a little nerdish. In fact, he is just like everyones favorite little brother.

The basic premise of the show is that Chuck has been sent government secrets by an old freneny named Bryce sublimally through an e-mail. Chuck flashes on CIA/FBI (etc.) information about terrorists and plots to overthrow various governements when he sees pictures of people and various things. Each week Chuck must try to figure out how the information he flashes on is important and then there is the inevitable race to save the world.

Helping Chuck through his journey is a couple of government agents sent to protect Chuck from danger. There is a beautiful blond female agent who's cover is Chuck's girlfriend and a no-nonsense/all business...
...
