tambro says "Le Creuset Cookware is for all generations, young and old alike." about Le Creuset Cookware

About 4 months ago I purchased my first Le Creuset Dutch-oven. I was a little concerned about the expense for a single piece of cookware. I bought the lime color and I absolutely love it.

If I could only have one piece of cookware in my kitchen this would be it. I use it for all types of cooking. I stir fry shrimp in it for tacos. I make chili in it and homemade chicken and dumplings. I also have braised short-ribs in this little gem. You can make this fabulous and easy pulled pork with five simple ingredients. Put these five ingredients in the dutch-oven: 3 to 6 pounds of pork tenderloin, 1 can coke, 1 can sweetened condensed milk, 2 cinnamon sticks, and 1 bay leaf. Put into a 375* oven for 3 to 4 hours. Remove from oven and shred pork for sandwiches or burritos.

This single piece of cookware has received the approval of 3 generations of Browns. My mother-in-law, my daughter and I would not be disappointed if we received a piece of this cookware for any special occasion...
...

tambro says "The Precor 5.33 Elliptical Trainer is the best I have ever used." about Precor 5.33 Elliptical Trainer

About 5 years ago, we moved to a little town in West Texas called Midland. We had moved there from a much bigger city where we belonged to a fitness club called Lifetime Fitness. We loved exercising on the equipment at Lifetime. Midland did not have a fitness club like Lifetime, so we decided to use a room in our house for a home gym. My husband researched elliptical machines for me. I like elliptical machines because they are easy on my knees. After a lot of searching on the internet, he came across the Precor brand. We then went to a fitness equipment store to test a few models out. The 5.33 fit our needs the best, it was built for heavy use and we liked a lot of the features. One of the things I really like about it is that it comes with a heartrate monitor. I also like that you can program it for 2 different people. It has multiple program and is very easy to use. My daughter is now 14 and she also loves using it. We have own our Precor 5.33 Elliptical Trainer...
...

tambro says "I Don't Leave Home Without It!!" about American Express - Gold American Express

The American Express card is the one card that I don't leave home without. My husband and I like that we have to pay the balance in full every month. You can put things on their extended payment plan but we never do. Paying the balance in full has helped keep us out of debt and allowed us to save thousands of dollars in interest. We also earn points for every dollar that we spend, this is why I don't leave home without it. I use this card for everyday purchases, big and small. I buy all of our groceries and gas for my car. I also use this card to purchase big ticket items, such as furniture, baby grand piano, and paying for the moving company each of the 4 times that we have moved. This has all added up to some pretty awesome points. We often use our points to purchase free airline tickets. We have used them to purchase big screen tvs, iPods, GPS systems and other electronics. We get a breakdown every year of our spending habits and this helps us plan for the next...
...

tambro says "Fun for the whole family, even Grandma!!" about Nintendo Wii Console

The Nintendo WII Console is the best gaming system we have every owned. There are a great selection of games for it. A few of are favorites are Animal Crossing for my 14 year old daughter and 007 for my 12 year old son. Grandma loves to bowl with my daughter and I when her and Grandpa come over for dinner.

There are a lot of great accessories for the WII. The WII Fit Balance board is one of my families favorites. It takes a little getting use to for those of us that are somewhat challenged when it comes to balance. My daughter is a gymnast, so she does really well.

I believe that the WII Console is really great for all ages, but especially for the older generation. My mother-in-law loves to bowl but is unable to pick-up and throw a bowling ball anymore. The WII remotes are light and easy to use.

I feel that the WII Console is going to be around for a while and I look forward to the new products they are sure to come out with for the WII.
...

tambro says "Stinky Kenmore HE3T smells up laundry rooms across USA!!" about Kenmore HE3T Washing Machine

I was so excited when my husband purchased me the Kenmore HE3T front loader washer and matching dryer. We have always owned a Kenmore washer and dryer. Only a couple of months after the purchase, we moved from Phoenix, AZ to Midland, TX. The washer and dryer made the trip fine, but a couple of months after the move we noticed a funny smell in the laundry room. We called Sears and the sent out a technician. No small feat when you live in West Texas. The guy came out and told me they need to replace the gasket and would have to order the part. So, I waited and waited. Finally the part came in and we set up another appointment. He installed the part and left saying that should take care of the problem. Three months later the smell was back. This time they decided that it was the pump that was causing the smell. Again, they ordered the part and scheduled a time to return. I really had hope that this would fix the problem, because the pump smelled really bad when he...
...

tambro says "The Plum series is Laugh Out Loud Funny!" about One for the Money

The Stephanie Plum series is laugh out loud funny. If you don't have time to read books, then you better not pick this one up. You will be laughing so hard, that you won't want to put it down. You will find yourself finish whatever you're doing, just so you can get back to your new favorite series. The hardest part about falling in love with this series is having to wait a year for the next book. Luckly, she gives us a bone by writing what she calls a half book for us. The half books usually come out in January or Febuary and the Number series is usually May or June.

If you are not comfortable with people asking you whats so funny when you read in public places, then please, please leave this book at home. My husband once told me about a time he was taking a plane from Pheonix, AZ to Corpus Christi, TX. He got on the plane and was about to sit down next to a lady who was holding a book in her hand. He looked at the cover and saw that it was a Janet Evanovich, Stephanie...
...

tambro says "The Ellen show provide a daily dose of laughter." about The Ellen Degeneres Show

The Ellen show always provides my daughter and I with a daily dose of laughter. My daughter is 14, so I have to DVR it so we can watch it together after she gets home from school.

We love everything about her show, the dancing, guest, crazy products, the dunk tank and last years campaign to get George Clooney to come on hear show.

I think this years campaign to get Oprah to let her on the cover o "O" magazine is fabulous. I especially liked her cover with her and Oprah on a bicycle built for two. She called it a cover built for two. I hope she finally convinces Oprah to go for it. That is one issue of "O" I won't miss.

My daughter and I also enjoy the silly games they play on the "Ellen" show. One of our favorites is Oh Snaps. It is so funny watching contestant pull one another on that bungee cord. We route for opposite contestants and cheer them on. You would think we were in the audience, we cheer so loud.

tambro says "The Cuisinart Grind and Brew - Thermal is hard to clean." about Cuisinart Grind and Brew - Thermal Coffee Maker

The Cuisinart Automatic Grind and Brew is hard to keep clean. The grinding chamber is exposed to moisture during the brewing process. This mean that you have to thoroughly dry it, before you can grind beans for that all important second pot of coffee.

I at first accepted this and worked around it. After about 6 months, I just stopped using the grinder. I have continued brewing coffee with it for the past 2 years. I plan to replace it with a different model. I was very disappointed with the outcome. For the price I expected to be much happier. I do like Cuisinart products, but felt this one did not measure up. The grinding chamber is removable for cleaning, however since there is moisture in that compartment mine will not remove. I believe the grinding gear is rusted.

If Cuisinart could design a grind and brew model, maybe one with a trap door that seals shut after the beans have been ground, so the chamber stays dry, I might consider purchasing it.
...
