sweetcindylouwho says "One of the best online business communities ever" about Etsy.com

In the last couple of years I have heard alot about Etsy. I had logged on a few times and saw some really cool stuff available. The bulk of items offered on this site are vintage and handcrafted items, but you can also find antiques, crafting supplies and other items. Anything you can think of that can be handcrafted is sold on this site. It is amazing the creativity of folks!!!

A friend that I have made online thru another website recommended that I sell some of my stuff on Etsy. I tried a couple of times to list items but was used to the format of the other online site and got frustrated. Once I figured out that I needed to compress my pictures and smoothed out a couple of other issues, it now seems like a piece of cake.

The clientel on Etsy are much classier than on other sites. Additionally folks are SO friendly on this site it is unbelievable. I have found this from a buyer's standpoint as well as a seller's standpoint. So far every contact I have made with people...
...

sweetcindylouwho says "Enjoy ebaying but can be expensive" about eBay

I have been an ebayer for about 5 years - started at first with just a few odds and ends and then moved to more items, almost monthly. Finally decided to open a store: sweetcindylou62. I mostly sell vintage finds, hand crafted jewelry, good buys I find to pass along, crafting supplies and whatever else piques my interest!

By and large, eBay is easy to use. Or maybe it just seems like it because I have been doing it awhile. I enjoy it for the most part. I get a bit frustrated at times for a couple of reasons. Just as I do when I shop, I look for the bargains, but it seems that unless you just about give stuff away folks just don't want to do business with you. I try to treat others like I would like to be treated, personally and business-wise, but there are some folks on ebay that don't want to do so. That is sad because a couple fouled transactions can cause you to be jaded.

Another frustration is the glut of items making it hard to find what you want or to sell what you...
...

sweetcindylouwho says "It is incredible" about Facebook

I have heard my kids talk about Facebook forever...When they were younger I forbade their participation in it due to potential stalkers, etc. I finally decided to try it a few months ago when I finally splurged for a laptop and can honestly say I don't know what I ever did without Facebook.

For years I have had nothing but good intentions about keeping up with friends and family over the years and never did so as much as I wanted/intended to. Because of this I had lost touch of a great number of people who were valuable to me. In the 3 months I have been on "FB" I have made contact with so many folks it just amazes me. In one week I "found" 4 people that I hadn't seen or heard from in 20 + years! It was soooo great to re-connect with them.

All I have to do is log onto Facebook and I can immediately see a glimpse of each of my "Friends' " lives are like. If you have never been on face book, when you log onto your home page you have the option of saying what's on your mind -...
...

sweetcindylouwho says "Love it!" about Apple - iPod Nano 4th Generation

For a long time I have needed to follow my doctor's advice and get more exercise. But in a way I have felt like I was wasting time...I am not a group walker or anything and prefer that to be alone time, but was sort of bored.

For my birthday I was given some gift money and I figured what the heck, I don't really want or need anything special and I am not good at saving money so I sprung for my IPOD Nano, 4th generation. It is my first IPOD/MP3 player.

Of course, I had to get my teenagers to give me an inservice and I still have a learning curve but I find it to be an outstanding piece of electronics. I have nothing else to compare it to except a portable CD player, but I have found the sound quality it excellent and it is essentially fairly easy to use. I got PURPLE! It comes in a bunch of cool colors.

I wasn't enamored with the earphones I got with it mostly because standard earbuds are uncomfortable in my ears. Currently I am borrowing my son's Skull Candy earphones (I...
...

sweetcindylouwho says "I love my Dell laptop" about Dell Inspiron Laptop

I have waited for years to get a laptop. I did some research but not tons. I have a desktop from Dell that is 5 years old and had a good experience with Dell for that computer, so I thought I would give Dell another chance. The Inspiron has everything I need and then some. I didn't really need a computer with lots of bells and whistles, I'm not a gamer or intense PC user. I primarily use my laptop for email/facebook and uploading pics for ebay type transactions, managing my bills and banking from home and listening to music.

I didn't think I would like Vista (I have the basic home version) but it actually is pretty intuitive to use. I am sure there are tons of capabilities I have no idea of how to access yet! This computer's initial setup for use was simple, including the WIFI connection.

Among the many pro's as expressed above - the keyboard has nice key action. It is substantial in size and weight without being unweilding. I even sprung an extra $40 bucks for the front...
...

sweetcindylouwho says "I love vista even tho I came to it kicking and screaming" about Dell Home Premier, Windows Vista desktop computer

I had fallen in love with XP when I first was exposed and I vowed I would not get VISTA until computers would no longer run on XP. However, when I got my new Inspiron laptop from Dell a couple of weeks ago I decided to give it a try. I find it very easy to use and even intuitive to use. It has nice graphics and I love the gadgets ya can install on the desktop. The basic ones are fun and you can download more. I recommend it.
...

I just received my Dell Inspiron laptop and LOVE it. I was concerned I would have trouble with Vista but it seemed very intuitive to use, I feel, based on my "computer literate" status. I am no geek but can get my way around the internet and basic home use software. The only negative I can mention is the glossy screen. I had read various reviews and this type of screen is supposed to have better resolution but ambient lighting can really effect viewing that nice resolution! Upon ordering on the Dell website I could pick and choose what I wanted for my computer like memory and RAM ......and.....my purple cover!
...

sweetcindylouwho says "Our chocolate lab is a wonderful pet." about American Kennel Club Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Our chocolate lab is about 2 1/2 years old now and is finally growing out of his busy-body hyperactivity. Notice I didn't say GROWN out of - he still acts youthful and full of energy but he is more manageable now. I am grateful we have our rottweiler, who is about 2, to keep him active and busy. They spar and run around the house like toddlers. They both like to play, fetch, chew on bones, eat ice cubes, and so much more. Our lab's name is George, short for his AKC name - Gorgeous (cuz he is!) Curious (he has been since day 1) George (as in Curious George the monkey) - it so suits him! He is an escape artist and likes to try to "bust out" anytime someone goes in or out of the house. Usually we catch him in short order, but not easily! Anyone considering a chocolate lab won't regret it if they provide him with a good home, exercise, toys and MANY opportunities to fetch!
...

Dozer is our second Rottweiler and they have both been very gentle loving dogs - it' all in how you raise 'em. Dozer is very large, his head is almost the size of a basketball and his size can be intimidating solely because of his size - but in reality he thinks he is a chihuahua - regularly climbing into our laps or giving us kisses.
...

My son really wanted an MP3 player for his birthday but he has been careless with equipment before. So I wanted to get him one that was reasonably priced so that if it got lost it would be no big deal...but it has great sound quality - so good he won't listen to me and keep the volume down and has gone thru 2 sets of earbuds...other wise has been very reliable...he does say that it is a bit touchy when put in your pocket.....
