stephc1980 says "Love him or hate him...still entertaining" about Bill O'Reilly - A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity: A Memoir

A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity was a book that my parents gave the in-laws as a Christmas gift.

(Back Story)

My in-laws and my parents are ultimately the same people, just in different bodies. They share the same political views, religious beliefs, and basic everyday likes and dislikes. Ultimately though, had I not married my husband, they would have never met.

When my parents came to visit for Thanksgiving they got to have a longer visit with the people they were now related to, but haven't seen since the August wedding. It went beautifully. Dads talking shop, and moms planning a trip to the local winery. If you didn't know these people were in-laws, you'd swear they were long-time friends. So when Bill O'reilly's Factor came on t.v. the room fell silent. He was promoting his new book at the end of the show, and my parents just went on and on about how funny the book was, and how entertaining he was as well as insightful. The in-laws had made the comment about wanting the book, but just...
...

stephc1980 says "All 80+ Acai sites are scams!! " about Acai Berry Cleanse

OK. Guilty...

I should have listened to the little voice my mom taught me about, "if it's too good to be true, it probably is". This is one of those times though, that I don't feel alone and completely scammed because I didn't listen. After my first attempt at the Acai Berry Cleanse, and Acai Berry Noni, I was done. At least I thought so, until I got another bottle in the mail. I had canceled my automatic shipment within the 14 days. I even got a confirmation of the cancellation. BUT...they went ahead and shipped another bottle while charging my card $79.95 TWICE!! I actually got someone on the phone and gave them my "account number/shipment number". They were nice, although, they did tell me that my cancellation was not within the 14 days, even though I counted on the calendar, it was in fact, less than 10 days. Here's the catch, they start counting days from the time you order the product, not from when you actually get it!! I stood my ground, repeated the cancellation number, asked to...
...

stephc1980 says "Best Real Estate Duo in Enterprise/Fort Rucker Area." about Marci and Curtis King - Premier Properties - Enterprise, AL

In today's market its reassuring that these two understand the value of my time and my concerns of buying or selling in this economy.

At one time, I was an Army Wife and found myself doing a lot of things sans hubby. Most of these required finding houses, schools, utility companies and so on for the "next duty station".

I was referred to this couple by a friend who was a former, and more than likely, future client. I first met them at another company and did dealings while there, but all of the business is conducted the same anywhere they go. I could relate to Marci since she was also an Army Wife, but she served as well. My husband and Curtis were able to build a rapport that made everything much easier. He has become accustomed to me doing everything and most of the time either didn't want to bother, or simply didn't have the luxury of time.

We were looking for a very simple house with minimal upkeep and still within our price and good neighborhood. They found us everything we were looking...
...

stephc1980 says "Wedding Calla Lillies have never been so AFFORDABLE!" about ProFlowers.com

Planning my recent wedding went from being overjoyed to a daunting task in about 1.3 months. We were in one location, planning for a different location. A lot of my wedding planning relied on the Internet, my phone, and my undying trust in my soon-to-be mother-in-law.

The Search:

She was able to help in almost every aspect since the wedding was in his hometown and she had TONS of local connections. (I.E. 3-tier,4-layer, square cake for under $400). But that's another review for another time. The one downfall was the lack of Florists either in town, or for that matter reasonably priced. Coming from a woman whose parents owned a Flower Shop for 30 years, I'll listen to reality vs. my expectation. We still kept coming up short. We were planning an August wedding in N.C. so heat and durability were two of our biggest concerns. Tulips were out of season, and roses were more expensive than the Callas I found. All the prices for the package I was looking for were easily $3000 and that was with...
...

stephc1980 says "Salon Quality for less than 6 bucks!" about Kiss Bahamas Fashion

This is something that most people don't know about, and few believe me when I tell them. But, Kiss (an artificial nail maker) carries a line of fake toe nails. Yes, I said toe nails. Kiss:Bahamas Fashion. I was looking for a quick fix for a last minute date, and was a week away from a paycheck, when once again, at Wal-Mart, I found what I was looking for, without knowing it. This is a very simple product that doesn't require any practice and the look lasts for about two weeks. For just over $5 you get two full sets of nails and all the necessary accessories to apply. Now, the sizes vary, and depending on the person, you may have to file to get the perfect fit, but overall, there's a wide variety (24 nails/12 sizes to be exact). The best feature for me is the tab-top. There is a small tab that lets you grip and place without getting glue on your hands, or dropping the nail. The pack I bought also came with the popular Hawaiian/Bahama style flowers. They are already French tip, so no need......

stephc1980 says "Crest Combo for about 10 bucks!" about Crest Vivid White Night/Whitening Rinse

Over the years I've tried numerous products for teeth whitening. It all started when I had to have my teeth bonded as a young teenager, after a noticeable gap wouldn't close with braces. After the bonding, I noticed how yellow my teeth looked, and as a teenager, self-esteem became a MAJOR issue. I got into dance and a pageant that required beauty 24/7. After doing the trays, strips, mouth pieces, and finally that paint-on stuff, I couldn't take it anymore. I found (years later) that Crest has a toothpaste called Vivid White Night for about $3.50 at Wal-Mart. While in that aisle, I also saw the Whitening Rinse, also inexpensive at about $5.00. With so much whitening over the years my teeth were ultra sensitive, so I was skeptical, but it was cheap. Less that half way through the first tube, and only 25% through the bottle, I started getting compliments about my dentist. I kept getting asked how much I paid for bleaching. People were shocked that they could find it at Wal-Mart, and spend......

stephc1980 says "Don't bother with Slimquick." about SlimQuick Extreme

For all those resolution dieters, I've got one that'll save you disappointment and money. I've been losing weight since last June and I've tried everything. I even had shots every week, and honestly that's the only thing that worked, but it got expensive, quick. I know all you women have seen those Slimquick commercials, mostly about how the women follow the men on the diet plan, and never see results. Well, in my shared experience, with a fellow dieter (we used the buddy system) Slimquick doesn't work, at all! I took a full month of the Slimquick Extreme, the next month I teamed it with the Slimquick Cleanse (followed directions) and nothing. I used the water flavor packets, and followed the diet and exercise plan...a big fat nothing, other than me standing there angry at the scale. Not even a pound for encouragement! Here's the kicker, my mother-in-law is a nurse, she looked over the contents, and told me that the ingredients as a whole are not proved to promote weight loss. She helps......
