When I first adopted my cat (a little over a year ago) I just had a regular water bowl for her. I didn't even know water fountains existed.

It didn't take long for me to discover that my cat hated drinking standing water. Whenever she could, she'd drink running running water from the sink or shower. She wasn't afraid of getting soaked by the shower to get that drink. I was worried that she wasn't getting enough water, so I started looking for alternatives.

I went with Petmate's fountain because it happened to be one of the rewards for my credit card. When it arrived, I hooked it up right away to make sure it worked properly. The directions say that some cats may be scared at first (there's a slight hum) and to let them adjust to having the fountain there before actually turning it on. My cat took to it right away though. As soon as it was on, she ran over and stuck her paw in. Then she started drinking. She definitely gets a lot more water than she used to. If cats could...

This is one of the few albums I never get tired of listening to. If I take this CD out of the car for some reason, I end up putting it back a few days later because I need to listen to it again. Andrew did an incredible job arranging all the songs on this album. It really does tell a story. My only complaint is that "Last Straw" didn't make it onto the album. It was the first song he wrote for Everything in Transit (according to the Jack's Mannequin website), but he couldn't figure out where to put it track-wise. It's my favorite song, so I really wish he had. Everytime I listen, I try to figure out where it should go too, but I can't....

stars says "my cat's favorite food" about 9 Lives Tuna Select Canned Food for Cats

If my cat had her way all she would eat is the different variations of 9 Lives tuna. Ever since I bought a few cans of this, she's refused to eat other brands of wet food (thankfully she's not as picky with her dry food). She's learned to recognize the look of the can and comes running when she sees it in my hand. Since it's not a pull top, she has to wait while I use the can opener. During that time she meows. That may not sound strange to most people, but my cat never meows....

stars says "best new show of the season" about Gossip Girl

This is absolutely the best new show of the season. I'm sad we don't get to see Kristin Bell, but she's still great as "Gossip Girl." The show doesn't really follow the books, but I enjoy the TV plots just as much. I'm particularly glad they decided to have Serena and Dan be a couple rather than Vanessa and Dan like in the books. I also like that the TV characters are more sympathetic than their book counterparts....
