spurifoy0910 says "Just like name brand! Save your money!" about Parent's Choice Gentle Formula

For some ungodly reason, we used name brand formula with my first child. I still don't remember what I was thinking shelling out twenty seven dollars for a can of powdered formula every week. Between my first child and my second I noticed lots of people I know using Parent's Choice and their babies seemed perfectly fine so I thought to myself if I have to use formula with this next baby I'll use that stuff. And I researched it and it does meet minimum guidelines and has nearly all the same ingredients that brand name formula has. When I had to stop breastfeeding I went right to Walmart and picked up this Gentle formula and my daughter switched from breastmilk to the Paren'ts Choice without any problems at all. In fact, she spits up less than my son who was fed Enfamil his whole first year. And it costs HALF the price. It no longer feels like I'm just kissing my money goodbye when we finish a can of formula! I will say that she really doesn't take her bottle as well if it was made in advance....
...

spurifoy0910 says "Couldn't live without it!" about Munchkin Powdered Formula Dispenser

I couldn't live without this little plastic piece of wonderful. My daughter only likes her formula if it's just been mixed so I keep this little thing right next to our bed at night so I don't have to worry with measuring furmula in the middle of the night. Of course, it's also really excellent for on the go. I had the one that Parent's Choice makes and this Munchkin one is a hundred times better than that. The little door on top comes open very easily and the top turns without problem. It also doesn't have problems getting formula stuck in the crevasses. I tested it with one compartment full and the others empty to see if any formula spilled over into the other compartment and not a single bit of it moved. They come in the cutest colors ( I have the pink and green and the blue and purple). The only thing is I wish they made more sizes of these. I have the single feed one, but I wish they made one that had 4 slots. It's also very inexpensive. I got mine at Babies R Us for $3.99 which...
...

spurifoy0910 says "Used for so many things" about Deluxe Snuggle Nest Lullaby Print By Baby Delight

I didn't think the Snugglenest would be one of those things I couldn't live without. I originally set out to buy a travel bed for visiting grandma's house. But we co-sleep with our kids and most travel beds are made for the floor so I bought this and it has been really versatile. I use this in our queen size bed very comfortably and we also put this inside my daughter's pack n play up against our bed which is great because it gives her that secure feeling. Also, as I mentioned we use it when traveling as a travel bed and I even move it to the living room from time to time when I want to let my little girl safely nap in the living room. I like that no matter where she is sleeping, whether we're moving from pack n play to bed, that the Snugglenest lets her keep her surroundings familiar. I only have two complaints. 1. The wedge that comes with it isn't very useful to me because my daughter would scoot down and out of the bottom when I used it (that's fixable though- just don't use the wedge....
...

spurifoy0910 says "Better than most" about Fisher Price Baby Monitor

I noticed some negative reviews on this product, but I think I might have a little more experience with monitors. I will start this off by prefacing that I don't use this monitor at night because my daughter sleeps with me, but like I said this is not my first time around the block with baby monitors. The Fisher Price monitor is really quiet compared to others I've had in the past. Of course there is a little back ground static but even the slightest noise is detected and even amplified on this monitor. I didn't have an issue with the clicking and I don't have problems with our cell phones or wireless internet either. The monitor looks good and one of my favorite feature is that you can see the lights on both sides of the handset which makes it even more convenient. I will admit that for a person who has problems sleeping with white noise that the monitor might bother them at night, but again any little noise is detected so it isn't a matter of whether you'll hear your baby or not. Also,...
...

spurifoy0910 says "More like wearing a t shirt than a carrier" about Moby Wrap

The moby wrap is sooo amazing! I have tried other carriers and nothing compares. I also own an Infantino snug ride which is pretty good, but after wearing that carrier with the weight bearing on one shoulder for several hours my whole body would ache. I went in search of something that would spread that weight out and this is it! I was really intimidated when I read that it is essentially 5.5 feet of fabric that you manipulate around your body, but so many people gave it high remarks so I took the plunge. I also questioned, "Should I really spend 40 dollars on a big piece of fabric?". Yes! Now, when you open up the package and unroll it you think that you won't be able to get the hang of it, but it only takes 3 or 4 wraps and you'll be a pro. I'm not really skilled at dong things like this and 2 days after I bought the moby wrap I looked like on of the women in the instruction manual. The moby wrap is so comfortable and I can wear it all day without blinking an eye. It is also really amazing...
...
