soprano3489 says "I can't wait for Sunday nights so I can see what's happening!" about CSI Miami

CSI - what a show! I hope it never ends! I love watching the world of forensic experts. And I also like the idea that the team really cares about the victims of crime. They're not "just another body". The way they interact with people and with each other is riveting....

soprano3489 says "This is the worst waste of energy I've ever used" about Eureka Boss - Bagless Mini Vacuum

About 6 months ago, I acquired the lightweight Eureka bagless "The Boss", specifically to vaccuum the steep staircase in my old house. What a waste! Sure, it picks up some dustbunnies and, if I really work at it, a few pet hairs, but dirt? Cobwebs? Anything heavier than .00000001 oz? No dice. I end up on my hands and knees with a brush and dust pan, getting up all the rest. I wouldn't suggest this vaccuum unless there were absolutely none other available....

soprano3489 says "My Sweetie is the most precious thing in my life." about Dog Breed Pomeranian

My "Sweetie" is the best thing that ever happened to me. Her real name is Sweet Blessing, and she was born on March 25, 2004. A tiny Pomeranian, she weighs exactly 7 pounds and has enough fur for two of her! She was given (yes, GIVEN!) to me by a breeder who frequented my work (I was then working at PetSmart), and often brought puppies that he'd let me "babysit" while he shopped for supplies. One day, he handed me only one of the puppies, and then went on to do his shopping. When he came back, he said:"How do you like her?" I answered, "You know I love Poms." To which he answered, "Then she's yours". I almost fainted! It was at a very rough time of my life, and no one could have given me a better gift!

Since then, she has been my constant companion, sleeps snuggled beside me (none of my many dogs has ever been allowed in my bed), follows me everywhere, and lies contentedly near me while I work or read. She isn't yappy or demanding (except when I first arrive home from...
...
