sooozanne says "Great idea, bad pricing" about Glade Sense and Spray (Automatic Spray)

I initially received my Glade Sense and Spray through BzzAgent. My BzzKit came with the Sense and Spray unit, along with the linen scent. I put it together and put it into my kids' bathroom. Try as I might, with two small boys, that room always stinks. I initially put it onto the bathroom counter, but that was a mistake, as when it sprays you get hit with the stuff. Also it was too close to my boys' reach. So then I moved it up high on a shelf, and I really enjoyed it! It gave a nice whiff of fresh scent whenever someone came into the room. I also bought the apple scent, but didn't care for that as much. It smelled to fake for me. I think my only disappointment was the cost of the refills. It is so much more than other fragrances. And with the coupons in the paper it is usually cheaper just to buy another starter kit, but now I am left with lots of units and not wanting to pay for the scent refills.
...

sooozanne says "Works well for a few years, then stinks!" about Baby Trend Diaper Champ

We received the Baby Trend Diaper Champ as a gift before we had our first baby, in 2002. We heard great things about the Diaper Champ at several stores, with the main point being that you don't have to buy any special bags for it, as it uses regular trash bags. We LOVED the Diaper Champ when we first used it. It really did keep all of the diaper odors away, so the nursery didn't reek. You just put the dirty diaper in, give it a flip, and forget about it until garbage day!

Fast forward 7 years and 3 more babies....

The pail still works. It flips the diapers into the garbage bag, and doesn't smell up the room. However the inside of the pail just REEKS. I have tried every possible thing to clean it, and I can't get rid of the smell. It is like the plastic has absorbed the stench, and it won't be removed. So while it does work well, I don't think the overwhelming ICK when you change bags is worth it anymore.
...

sooozanne says "Good phone, not great" about T-Mobile - Sony Ericsson TM506 Cell Phone

I got this phone, the Sony Ericsson TM509 about 9 months ago, as part of the freebie selection from T-Mobile. It is a slick looking phone (I picked the black), and is very sturdy. Between my clumbsiness and my four kids it has certainly taken a beating, and just keeps on working. My only issues with the phone are that the battery does not last very long. It stays at 4 bars for about a day, and then as soon as it starts dropping it is as good as dead. I have to remember to plug it back in on a daily basis. The second thing that I don't like is that the outside display is so small, you can't have photo caller id. On the positives the reception is very good. I have never had static or problems with calls. Some of that might be the T-Mobile service, but I'm sure some of it is also with the phone. So I'm sure this phone will hang in there for the next year until my contract renews, but I'm not sure I would pick the same phone next time.
...

sooozanne says "The cream for my babies' butts" about Boudreaux's Butt Paste Diaper Rash Cream

I am a mother of four, with the baby of the family still in diapers. I have changed so many diapers and used so many creams it is mind boggling! I usually stuck with Desitin, but when I had baby number four a friend gave me some Boudreaux's Butt Paste as a joke because of the funny name. I was willing to give it a try, though, and was very impressed! First of all it has a very nice smell. It isn't medicine like at all. Secondly it spreads very well, and doesn't seem to hurt a baby's sore tush when it goes on. And lastly, and most importantly, it works! It seems like it healed up any existing rash and kept anything new from creeping up. I use cloth diapers and it doesn't seem to have any adverse effect on the diapers, as some other creams do. So from now until the end of my diaper changing days I will be getting Bourdeaux's Butte Paste for my diaper cream. The only down side is that it can be hard to find, but it seems to be carried more and more places, and also online....
...

sooozanne says "Make your favorite dessert - your way" about YoYo's - Meridian, ID

YoYo's has a slogan of "Make it Yo Way" which is so very true. You get to pick your size, pick your type of yogurt (or mix and match) and then choose from dozens and dozens of different toppings. I love taking the family and seeing what a huge variety of desserts we end up with. It can't up a little spendy if your eyes get bigger than your wallet, as you pay by the ounce. But as an occasional fun treat it is delightful!
...

sooozanne says "Straigtens, but not from wet." about Conair Wet 2 Straight Hair Straightener

I just purchased the Wet 2 Straight Hair straightener from Conair. It is my first try at straigtening. And while I think it does work well with dry hair, for me it doesn't go from wet to straight. From wet to sticky and clammy, and then another round to straight. But if I just let it air dry into its natural crazy mess I can then use the straigtener with good results in just a few minutes. I may continue to try the different settings to see if they higher levels will work better, but I also don't want to dry out and zap my hair. I wish the instruction booklet came with more information. It basically said to just keep on trying it out to see what worked best for you. And while that is probably true, it isn't veyr helpful to a newbie hair straightener like me.

So to sum it up for the review, I do like it a lot as an alternative hair styler, but don't buy the claim it the title of wet to straight.
...

sooozanne says "Powerful beast!" about Dyson DC14 Vacuum

We were after a great vacuum, and the Dyson does the trick! It certainly does suck! :) Sometimes I wonder though if other vacuums that aren't so very expensive would also work as well. We did have a problem with it making a horrible grinding noise, but we called customer service and they were friendly and walked us through how to make it stop....

sooozanne says "Quick and easy to follow" about Mari Winsor and Mark Laska - Pilates Powerhouse

I purchased the Mari Winsor Pilates for something to do at home. It is great to just be able to pop a DVD in and workout. As a novice I can follow almost everything she does, but I do feel pretty uncoordinated doing other things. But it does work out your muscles and helps to strengthen and tighten things up!...

sooozanne says "Amazing!" about Planet Earth

We have been absolutely amazed by Planet Earth. We were hoping to be able to show the kids, but some of the animal eating animals scenes are a bit much for them. It is narrated by a British Guy, which is usually fine, but sometimes we can't catch what he says. We have a little TV and are impressed by everything, if you have a big TV I think you would be blown away!...

We looked and looked for a 7+ mp camera for under $200 and found the Canon PowerShot a560 at costco.com. We love the quality of the pictures and ease of use. It easily bests the comparable Kodak Easy Share camera. This was our top choice, but also would make a great gift!...
