smckerley says "These are the top 15 movies that everyone should see." about My Top Movies- Favorite 15

In choosing 15 movies to recommend that everyone see, I would have list why everyone should see them. I would say that a movie is on my list of all time favorites because overall it is great, but specifically it has to have a good story that is easy to follow. It has to grab my attention and keep it. It needs to have great visual quality, good acting and overall just be fun to watch. I believe that watching a movie should be an awesome experience... it should transport you into the story and make you FEEL like you are a part of it. Movies that you would want to watch over and over and over and never get bored with them. The problem is narrowing the list to just 15, which is impossible... so my list has 20. The movies that I believe stir something in my enough to be my all time favorites are:

1. Bull Durham

2. When Harry Met Sally

3. The Star Wars saga

4. The Harry Potter saga

5. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

6. Forest Gump

7. The Princess Bride

8. The Shrek Trilogy

9. The Pirates of the Carribean...
...

smckerley says "Good, but not great." about Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

This movie was good, but just not as good as all the others. There was lots of special effects, and it was visually interesting. The story just seemed a bit more slow than all the others. I wouldn't call this one great. I would reccomend seeing it, but just be aware that it can be a bit dissappointing that it doesn't live up to the quality of all the previos movies....

smckerley says "Fun for the whole family." about Finding Nemo

I loved this movie when it first came out, before my son was born. Now that he has discoverd it, it is that much more fun to watch. It is a great movie for people of all ages. Fun for the entire family. It has a great story, with lots of vivid colors and images, and lots of action. There really isn't a boring part in the whole film. It keeps your attention pretty much the whole time. It is hard to keep a toddler's attention for more than 20 minutes at a time, but Finding Nemo does the job....

smckerley says "This toy is awful!" about Hasbro Furby

My daughter has had a few Furbies. They were all awful. Very cute and creative and fun at first... however, they always ended up with gliches. They wouldn't work properly, and they would start talking at all hours of the day and night and the only way to shut them off was to remove the batteries. I would NEVER reccomemd that any parent buy this toy for their child. And I would not suggest that anyone give one to the child of someone they know... unless you want to really annoy them. The Furby is not worth the money, or the hassle....

smckerley says "Very educational and fun toy for toddlers." about Mega Bloks 80-piece maxi bag

My son loves playing with his Mega Blocks. They promote fun and learning at the same time. He has learned to stack them and create things. And how to knock them over and deconstruct things. And he has learned how to gather them all up and put them back in their zippered bag. Playing with them has helped build his confidence and his self esteem, because it gives him a sense of accomplishment when he sees what he has created. He gets loads of praise every time he builds, demolishes and cleans up his Mega Blocks....
