I found that Garmin has good customer service as well as  great products. I know that this unit is marked as "discontinued" on the Garmin website but if you buy it now, it does come with the most up to date maps (2008 NT version). I've used it a bunch of times with no issues at all. The windshield mount has been great. I've read that some people have had the windshild mount fall off. I really don't think it's possible and here is why, If you stick the bracket on the windshild, it sticks really well but you have to flip a switch that sucks the suction cup really tight. I think people are not flipping that switch which isn't giving you the proper suction. The battery life is said to be 8 hrs but i haven't had to test this out yet. This is a 4 cylinder model which i should have upgraded to the six. This vehicle drives comfortably and hasn't had any major issues.
