shinybabies says "Got the Black One, Love It, Don't Feel Lame Carrying It" about Skip Hop Canvas Diaper Bag

Like the bag a lot. Good day out bag even for the new born. Smaller size prohibits my tendency to over pack. All you really need are a few diapers, wipes, change of clothes, binky, and blanket. Anything else you need it is time to go home. ...

shinybabies says "Baby loves the Pacifier but I won't buy a bottle with BPA" about The First Years Soothie Baby Bottle

We love the Soothie pacifiers but I won't buy these bottles because they are not BPA free. Hopefully they will come out with a safe plastic version soon! The price seems a little high for what you get. The Gerber Clear View are the best deal around and BPA free. —...

shinybabies says "They are soft and have not had a leaker yet...." about Pampers Swaddlers Diapers

I have tried Luvs (sucked leaked no good), Huggies (okay not so soft), Target (eh nothing to get excited about) and then the Pampers. So soft, that smell they put in there. The baby Sesame Street gang that grow up with the sizes. Every diaper we say "Oh, here's Elmo, here's Big Bird" All good. Not looking forward to size 3. No more...

shinybabies says "Does its job, but not as cozy as I thought..." about Jj Bundle Me Infant

Don't get me wrong, I like the Bundle Me, but I wish it went up higher. I still feel like he needs to keep more of the upper body/face warm and I feel guilty whipping the flap over his face when we go outside. All in all, I would still like someone to make me a fleecy warm bag to wear as someone carries me out to the car in the morning. I don't think I will get the toddler size, because who wants to get into a cold blanket in the...

shinybabies says "Not as difficult as it seem..." about Maya Wrap Baby Sling

— Definately not as intimidating as it appears. I would spring for the Maya D wrap with the fabric panel for some extra mileage with the "big kids." Took some practice and trial runs at home, but definately better with practice. A warning: If you put on your jacket over the wrap and then take off your jacket while trying to nurse a screaming baby in the backseat of your car on a busy street at lunchtime this will become a straight jacket! My tip: Take off said jacket before attempting to remove...

shinybabies says "So far so good, only want a larger sunshade!" about Chicco KeyFit Car Seat

Really like this car seat despite the price ($165 or so...) I like the fact that it will hold my big boy until 30 pounds or inches, whichever comes first. Handy strap release and infant insert. My only complaint is a small sunshade and I would like more color choices. —...
