sherrmor74 says "Not much different than Splenda" about PureVia All Natural Zero Calorie Sweetener

I am NOT a fan of artificial sweetener. I don't allow my kids to have it, not even in gum, and I encourage my husband to stay away too. However, this sweetener is different in that it is derived from a natural herb, so I don't consider it an artificial sweetener... more like a different sweetener.

As for my opinion, I did not cook with it, but I did use it in tea and coffee. It tasted very similar to Splenda, but it seemed I had to use a little more than I expected to get my drinks sweet enough. Something else I noticed was that the texture of PureVia is more coarse, whereas the texture of Splenda is more powdery.

Overall, I prefer sugar; however, I will keep this on the shelf for days when I go a little overboard with the sweet tea and coffee. I believe it's a reasonable alternative.
...

sherrmor74 says "Very attractive, but not as practical as I would like." about Kenmore Elite 795.77563600

First of all, I love the Kenmore Elite refrigerator. Now second, I despise this Kenmore Elite refrigerator. LOL! Let me explain...

It's really beautiful and I love having the freezer on the bottom. It is much easier to use than the side-by-side design and more practical than having the freezer on top. I also really like the fruit and veggie drawers. They are deep and wide, and the front of the drawer where the handle is actually tilts out so you can access small items without pulling out the entire drawer. (I use it for things I have already cut and now were in a ziplock bag... leftover sliced tomato, the other half of the onion, the remaining cloves from the bulb of garlic, etc.) I also love how the ice maker is in the door inside of the refrigerator. (I know... ice in the fridge!!! But it works somehow.) When you open the door to the fridge, there is an small door inside on the exterior door. You open it and wha-la! There is a nice sized bucket full of ice! ...
...

sherrmor74 says "Great phone with lots of 'extras'." about Blackberry - Blackberry 8120 Cell Phone

The Blackberry 8120 is a really nice phone. It's attractive. The picture is very clear and so is the audio. The camera takes excellent pictures, especially for a cell phone and maybe even better than the regular digital camera you have at home. There is a button on each side of the phone that you can "program" to operate a function of your choice for quick access/easy reference. For me, I made one button for the voice recorder so I can remember little things that come up throughout the day for the boys or sales I hear on the radio, etc. and the other button for the address book. The internet works great, but takes a little while to get use to. The sales guy, who has this same phone himself, recommended that I remove the battery every few days to free up memory that may be taken up by temporary files and/or pictures you've already deleted. The alpha/numeric buttons are a little small, but other than those 2 minor things... no complaints. Overall, the Blackberry 8120 is...
...

sherrmor74 says "I like the Playtex VentAire; be sure to assemble them correctly." about Playtex Ventaire Advanced Wide Baby Bottle

I am torn on the Playtex VentAire Advanced bottles. I really like that the shape of the nipple is similar to that of a mother who is nursing, so it is excellent to use for mom's who pump or switch from nursing to formula. I also love the angled shape. It makes bottle-feeding much more comfortable for the baby. This is the only reason I buy these bottles because there are some other aspects of this bottle that are very frustrating to me. One of those is that the measurement readings on the side that show how many ounces of fluid are in the bottle rub off, so be careful when handling and washing so that they print will last a little longer. Also, when you screw the ring that holds the nipple onto the top of the bottle, you have to do it just so. It doesn't settle on its own into the right thread. The best thing to do is to twist it backwards until it settles in the correct thread and then twist it forward to tighten. Another slightly frustrating thing is that I have bought...
...

sherrmor74 says "The Garmin-Nuvi is a good choice if you are on a budget." about Garmin - Nuvi 360

The Garmin-Nuvi is small and compact. It comes wiht a carrying case and an attachment for your windshield. It is very useful and only sent me on a wild goose chase once. (We asked for local ice cream shops when we were traveling once in Miami and we ended up in a residental area with no shops of any sort in sight.) It gives very good directions and several options for the voice and car you see on the screen. I like that it tells you before you get to your turn how far it is from your current point. As you get closer, it gives you a sort of "count down" (500 feet, 100 feet, you missed your turn, you must perform a U-turn - LOL!). I live in Jacksonville, FL and ocassionally I have trouble receiving the signal from the satilites, but usually it's no problem. If I had it to do over, I would purchase this same unit again.
...
