shanvlasic says "Best carseat on the market for my five year old!" about Britax Regent

I am the proud owner of two Britax carseats, and as far as I am concerned, they truly ARE the Cadillac of carseats.

This seat was almost too easy to install. It was so simple, I felt like that couldn't possibly be "it". But it was! The LATCH connectors have clicks similar to seatbelts, and easy to pull straps. I'm confident that the seat is installed properly, and it's not difficult to remove and install quick in another car, if need be. The tether anchor was also much easier to hook up than I anticipated. It's a great safety feature that only Britax has. The seat is large, but does not take up the entire back seat. With this seat, and baby's Marathon, there is still room for a passenger in the middle.

Some other things I LOVE about this seat:

I haven't seen one manufacturer meet Britax with the quality of the straps and harness. The shoulder straps are thick and wide. They don't fold up on themselves or get tangled. They are also wide across your child's shoulders.

shanvlasic says "The best child bike seat onthe market!" about iBert Safe-T Front Mounted Child Bicycle Seat

I bought this seat for my 19 pound daughter- she LOVES the seat and it is super easy to assemble and remove from my bike. I love that she sits in front of me where not only can she see out and enjoy her ride instead of looking at my back- but that she feels safer in front of me and it is easier to load and unload her.

I am a tall woman 5'11" and I was leery about purchasing the seat because I thoughtmy knees would be hitting the back of the seat the entire time. They don't! She sits up far enough that it's an easy ride for both of us. Plus, it's not a strain on the handlebars of my bike like I originally thought either. The bike turns effortlessly, like there is no extra weight there at all.

I am SO happy with this purchase, and i'm nt the only one. My little one cried whe Itook her out of the seat! I have finally found a solution that works and now can get some excercise with my daughter in tow.
...

shanvlasic says "My co sleepr was the best product I bought for my baby!" about Arms Reach Co-Sleeper

I LOVE my co-sleeper! We live in a two bedroom apartment and already have one child who is five. When he was a baby, he slept in bed with me and I was always so worried that either myself or my husband would roll over on him that I barely slept. The Arms Reach co-sleeper makes it possible for a breastfeeding mother to feed her baby without ever really getting out of bed, or allowing the baby to fully wake up.

My daughter is eight months old, and we are only now retiring it, and only because the mattress is kind of hard with the bars under it- and I think that may be contributing to my daughters frequent night wakings. But, up until this point- she has slept like a dream.

When my son was 4 months old, we moved him into his crib because I just wasn't getting enough sleep with him in bed with me. By the time I heard him begin to fuss and actually get out of my bed to feed him, he was WIDE awake and crying. Now, with the co-sleeper, I am able to roll over at her first signs of hunger, lift...
...

shanvlasic says "SIGG is a FABULOUS, eco-friendly alternative to plastic bottles." about Sigg Water Bottle

I switched from regular plastic water bottles because of the health concerns associated with drinking from plastic bottles, but also because I knew it would help me refrain from drinking from disposable bottles that are bad for the environment and require so many of our natural resources to manufacture and fill. I picked the 1 liter sized bottle that said "Make Love Not Landfill." I now consider my Sigg personal water bottle a vital accessory, reminding me to drink more water, making a statement about my values, and expressing myself with a special design. Yes, all in a water bottle!

Sigg of Switzerland water bottles are very high quality, made of light aluminum on the outside, slightly insulated, and covered with a special powder coat on the inside that prevents any leaching whatsoever, unlike plastic and polycarbonate water bottles. They are light, durable, and perfect for any activity. Well water tastes spectacular in these bottles, just like from the tap. On top of all of that,...
...

shanvlasic says "Jumperoo beats a walker hands down!" about Fisher Price Deluxe Jumperoo

I first had a Jumperoo when my five year old son was a baby... he would sit in it for hours at a time, just jumping and giggling. Now my daughter is 8 months old and we have purchased the newer version. Just as fun as I remembered! I love that you can put this anywhere. You do not need a door jam. There is no bottom to it though, so you may want to place on carpet so it doesn't slide around. The spring straps are covered well and have had no issues with fingers or hands getting stuck. The seat cover does come off, and so do the toys that are attached to the tray for easy cleaning. The adjustable height is great. My daughter is only on level two, so we still have two more levels to go before she grows out of it. The weight for the bouncer is 25 lbs, so if you have a chubby child he may not be able to use it to its potential (which was the problem with my first child... ) However my daughter, on the other hand, is average size and is going to get plenty of mileage from this toy. I couldn't...
...

shanvlasic says "The Beco is a babywearer's lifesaver!" about Beco Baby Carrier

The first time I tried a Beco was with my friends son 2 years ago. Now I have an 8 month old daughter that LOVES her Beco. I don't know how I ever made it with my first child without one... in fact, I can even carry him in my Beco on my back, and he is FIVE! My daughter has fit perfectly into the Beco from day one, and every time she gets upset- all I have to do is pop her in it and she is instantly content. It holds her close, makes her feel safe, and doesn't suffocate her. The headrest is low enough that she can see out and look around, and after I got used to the buckles, I could put her in and take her out all by myself. It is fantastic for quick shopping trips, long strolls through the zoo and yes, I can even BREASTFEED while she is in it!! The Beco has been my lifesaver, and although the pricetag is steep- I am so glad I splurged on this carrier. It has been worth EVERY SINGLE penny.
...

shanvlasic says "The best bottle for breastdfed babies." about Playtex Drop-Ins Original Nurser Baby Bottle

When my son was born 5 years ago, we tried multiple types of bottles, and he would only take the original Playtex Nurser with the long latex nipple. Now that I have an 8 month old daughter that is exclusively fed breast milk, we tried a lot of things and ended with the one thing that works- the Platex Nurser. I think the nipple is shaped more closely to a real nipple, and the latex is softer and forms better to her mouth than silicone. The one thing that I do not like is the fact that the bottles have drop in liners- which aren't as great for the environment as some other bottles- but I made an exception because she loves them, and she is only fed by a bottle when I am not here, which is rarely. If we had to use them full time, I would probably make a different choice, simply based on the eco-friendliness.
...
