sgacek says "A life saver" about Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

We borrowed the Papasan Cradle Swing from a friend when our twin daughters were born. Right away, Baby B LOVED it. She would cuddle down into it and sleep for hours. When she got a little older, she loved looking at herself in the reflective mirror and watching the leaves spin around. Eventually we had to break down and buy another when Baby A realized how great it was. She mainly liked to just lay, not swing.
Pros:

Comfy-both babies loved to just lay in it

Quiet operation-definitely a "stealth" swing

Perfect for newborns/smaller infants

Very stable when in operation

Easy to clean

Cons

It only runs on batteries-I would have loved to be able to plug it in since we ran them A LOT!

Not a compact swing-they took up a good chunk of our living room.

Only a lap belt-when the babies were older and wanted to sit a little more upright, you can adjust the basket to accomodate. However, with it only being a lapbelt and with most infants being top heavy, I was very worried that they would flip out...

...

sgacek says "The Space Saver High Chair is great for newborn on up" about Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair

We received these as a shower gift for our twin girls and we really like them. The idea of two highchairs in our small apartment didn't appeal to either of us, so these chairs presented the perfect alternative. I didn't open them until they were able to hold their heads up on their own, which was around 3 months. In retrospect, I wish I would have opened them the day my husband went back to work. Trying to bottle feed two newborns on your own is very challenging. These seats recline back so Baby lays in the seat and that leaves your hands free to hold the bottle. That could have saved a lot of headache and crying on all of our parts when I was still new at figuring out how to feed two hungry babies at the same time.

There are a number of features that I really like about these chairs:

the afore mentioned recline

the big sized tray

the "grow with you" aspect

easy to clean the tray and upohlstery.

the compactness of the whole unit-it can actually slip under the table like a regular...

...

sgacek says "LeapFrog Learn and Groove + 2 toddlers = FUN" about LeapFrog Learn and Groove Musical Table

We received the LeapFrog Learn and Groove as a gift for this past Christmas and our twin girls LOVE it. It's one of the only toys that they can both play with at the same time and not instantly wind up at each other's throats. They can play at it for a solid 15-20 minutes, which, for 18 month olds is pretty darn good! When they were younger, pre-standing/walking, it was sturdy enough for them to use as a stabilizer. They get a big kick out of switching the dominant language from English to Spanish, and I have even heard one of them attempting to echo the Spanish words. My favorite part of the table is that there is enough variety to the words and music, so that as a parent, I am not ready to take an axe to the sound chip. Another nice feature is that it has 2 volumes. We have found that the soft volume is just perfect. When it's on song mode, I will often supply the words to the song played which the girls really like. My only complaint is that now that they are getting......
