http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/schin333 Wed, 26 Nov 2008 21:37:20 GMT Reviews by schin333 http://www.viewpoints.com/The-Office-review-72662 The Office (American version on NBC) is a product of the British BBC show of the same name.  I was a fan of the BBC version and thought there was no way that an American version could improve upon the same show so I didn't watch it for the first two years that it was on NBC.  I finally started watching it (starting from the beginning up to the current season) and found it hilarious!  It's actually funnier than the British version!  The characters are all fun and played superbly by a great cast of actors.  Steve Carrell is hilarious as the bumbling, and often inappropriate, manager of the office.  The romance between Jim and Pam is great and Dwight is a great portrayal of that awkward, annoying person that can be found in almost every office.  It's an amazing show.  Start from the beginning and watch it all the way through!... Wed, 26 Nov 2008 21:37:20 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/The-Office-review-72662 schin333 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/Firefly-The-Complete-Series-review-386e2 I think "Firefly: The Complete Series" is one of the best, most unappreciated television shows that was ever out there.  The actors are spectacular together.  The show is a combination of old Western, science fiction, and comedy.  There are great one-liners that you have to be quick to catch.  Nathan Fillion is amazing as Captain Malcolm Reynolds, captain of a spaceship that is both rogue/somewhat shady and heroic.  I never watched the show when it was on television (though I heard the network aired the episodes out of order and that contributed to its cancellation), but I can watch the entire season straight through, over and over again.  I cannot recommend this television show enough!... Tue, 25 Nov 2008 20:00:49 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Firefly-The-Complete-Series-review-386e2 schin333 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/Elf-review-65d42 "Elf" is one of my all-time favorite holiday movies.  Will Ferrell is absolutely hilarious in one of his funniest movies and there are some the greatest quotable one-liners in this movie.  The supporting cast is also excellent.  One of my favorite scenes is the sing-a-long in the shower between the two main characters. It's also great that Will Ferrell spends almost the entire movie walking around in an elf costume!  You'll laugh throughout the movie and wince at some of the mistakes he makes as an elf in New York City.  It's a fun, feel-good movie that you can watch with friends or with family.  You'll never look at syrup the same way again!  I definitely give it two thumbs way way up....
