The zone diet is effective, easy to follow, and safe. It will help with more then simple weight issues, including diabetes, and joint pain. The premise of the diet is that at each meal you should consume approximately 10 grams of fat, 20 grams of protein (2x the fat grams) and 30 grams of carbohydrate (3x the fat grams). The carbs are from fruits and vegatables, little or no bread, pasta, or potatoes. The rest of the diets that cite glycemic index are variations of the zone diet. Everything you need for this diet can be purchased at a regular grocery store, and the diet (including a full weeks menu plan, and recipes) can be found on the web....

Share this book with your child, or cat. The story is written in a lyrical manner and tells the story of Big Cat, who slides out the back door and tries to catch a variety of birds. He is unsuccessful.

The illustrations are bright and cheerful collages. The last several pages are devoted to simple information about all the birds featured in the book. After you've read the book several times you will be surprised to hear your child name different birds...."Isn't that a blue jay?"

Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver is a charming braided plot with three different strands, all woven into one beautiful novel. A great read out loud, which will help you to savor the story.

I really don't want to reveal the plots, but the book covers romance, the enviroment and family relationships. You will be moved by this book.

A wonderful little place for dinner, especially nice late on a week night. An intimate and comfortable dining room with gentle lighting. Not to loud or bright, Service is efficient and attentive but not overbearing or rushed.

The menu features many house special pasta dishes. They also have wood fired pizzas, lots of fairly traditonal topping options and a complete aray of vegatatian options. I have a friend who is a real foodie and every time he comes to town he wants their puttenesca a sauce with calamata olives, capers, anchovies, garlic, fresh roma tomato..

Not a chain, but has a second location in Carmel....

My hot water tank went out and my dryer, both at the same time, I called two other services and was told neither item could be fixed, Gene showed up and repaired both items, for a hugh savings, and it has been over 18 months and they both still work. He is honest and dependable.....and he likes dogs....
