sastoll says "Hard Rock Cafe is a great place to get a good burger!" about Hard Rock Cafe - New Orleans, LA

Want a really good burger when visiting the French Quarter in New Orleans? The Hard Rock Cafe has incredibly delicious burgers and their onion rings are so tasty! My hubby and I stopped into Hard Rock Cafe in hopes of a good burger and were so pleased we came back and had a second meal there! The food was excellent! Service was too. And even the prices were relatively reasonable. It's not cheap like fast food, but less expensive than many other restaurants in the area. The atmosphere might be a bit loud for some because they have music videos playing on wide-wcreen tvs throughout the restaurant, but they aren't super loud and you can still carry on a conversation easily. It was especially neat to see Louis Armstrong's trumpet on display upstairs!
...

sastoll says "This is one mineral foundation that's truly affordable!" about Maybelline Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Powder Foundation

Maybelline's Mineral Powder Foundation has pretty good coverage. With my combination-to-oily skin, I need an oil mattifier or I am blotting my face after a few hours. I occasionally will have a breakout and have noticed that pimples or blemishes are still visable with this foundation so if you have frequent breakouts and want full coverage of blemishes, this foundation might not work well for you. At under $10, it's very affordable. I don't wear makeup every day, but I've only purchased this foundation once so far and it's lasted me for more than 3 months already and I've still got plenty. The little kabuki-style brush that comes with it is okay, but I prefer a full-size brush and purchased one separately to apply this foundation with. If you don't already have a full-size kabuki brush (or want to buy one), you'll probably find the little brush adequate.
...

sastoll says "Maui is an incredibly beautiful island with lots to see and do!" about Maui

My husband and I spent March 1-9, 2008 on Maui as a special get-away to celebrate our 10th anniversary. This was our first trip to Hawaii and it was wonderful! We did a lot of the typical tourist stuff, but tried to find some time to just relax and enjoy ourselves as well.

My husband found our lodging which was a rental unit called Tradewinds Suite near Haiku. It was so nice and private. I would go back in a heartbeat and stay there again! They also have another rental unit that's a bit larger and is recommended for families.

We picked a wonderful time of year to go too. Not only was it really cold back home (a good time to get away!), but we were there during the whale season. Whale watching was incredible...lots of mama's and their calves.

The Pacific Whale Foundation offers both snorkeling and whale-watching tours soo we did both! I especially liked that money from our tour costs will go toward research and education and stuff like that. We went snorkeling for the......

sastoll says "Good coverage, but isn't as great as it could be." about L'Oreal Bare Nataurel Mineral Makeup

I had seen the mineral makeups sold on TV and although I would have loved to try them, I simply could not afford it. I happened to look at cosmetics at Wal-Mart and saw the L'Oreal mineral makeup display. I decided to compare the different brands that also have mineral foundations and especially compared their ingredient lists. L'Oreal's seemed to be one without many chemical additives and was best value per ounce, so I bought the foundation and finisher. They didn't have any samples available to test with, so the first shade I got was a little light at the time. I saved it and now, in the dead of winter, it's just about right cuz I'm so pale. I later went to KMart and got the next darker shade of foundation which was a better shade for my skin. KMart had it on sale so I also got their "glow" in mauve which is very pretty.

My biggest complaint about this mineral makeup is that it has talc as a filler. Because of the talc, it makes your skin feel dried out. I have combination/oily......

sastoll says "It does a good job getting my skin clean without over-drying." about Mary Kay TimeWise 3-In-1 Cleanser

I really like the Three-In-One Cleanser Bar. I have combination/oily skin and it does a good job getting my skin clean without totally drying it out. I use it morning and night almost everyday. Every since I accidentally left my cleanser bar at a hotel, I have stopped taking it with me when travelling (I can't afford to keep replacing it!) but I use the soap dish that comes with it to keep it clean and out of the way in between uses at home and haven't had any problems with it. Also, my acne hasn't been as troubling lately. Can't say for sure it's the cleanser, but it's surely not making things worse....

sastoll says "If you plan ahead, it can make a very rewarding family vacation." about Walt Disney World - Orlando, FL

We've been to Disney World 2 times...once 10 years ago for our honeymoon and once in 2005 as a family (one boy, age 5 at the time). What can I say? It's an amusement park. A very large, sometimes overwhelming one especially considering that there are actually 4 separate parks now. But if you plan ahead and play it smart, it can make a very rewarding family vacation. I recommend purchasing tickets in advance. We got a good deal on tickets online. We bought 3 day park hopper tickets. We used the park hopper feature a lot more than we thought we would, but it worked out best for getting to see all the parks' evening fireworks shows and everything. We also really enjoyed the fastpass feature and used it as much as we could. If you are willing to spend a little more up front for these features, you can save yourself a lot of time that would otherwise be spent waiting in lines.

One other thing, the parks are constantly changing. You might really enjoy one of the rides and find that......

sastoll says "A really nice MP3 player for a reasonable price." about SanDisk - Sansa e260 MP3 Player

I've had my Sansa e260 for about a year now. The Sansa e260 is a 4GB MP3 player. It's a nice size--not too big or too small. I have a few pictures of my kids, a couple short videos taken with my digital camera, and plenty of music on my Sansa. I don't use the FM tuner and I haven't tried the Voice Recorder yet, but the options are there if ever I need them. The screen is a little small, but clear. The controls are acceptable. I especially like the lighted circle control. It's raised and easy to feel even in the dark to change your volume levels. Some of the other control buttons are a bit difficult to press, but I haven't have any problems with it. The ear buds are good quality. Maybe not high-end quality, but they work great for me. I've used other headphones with my Sansa and found that the quality of these ear buds is better or comparable to the others I own.

I would give the Sansa a 5 star rating if it came with an AC adapter plug as well as the USB cable. ...
...
