sassyjenski says "Black Honey Forever!" about Clinique Almost Lipstick

This product, in the Black Honey shade, was written about in almost every fashion magazine when it debuted. I bought my first tube then. When I had my first child, this was the one product that I always used - it took almost no time to apply, made a huge difference in how I looked, and yet didn't look strange without other makeup.

It is a rich moisturizing balm with a sheer brownish-reddish tint. It works on almost every skin color. it can be casual and natural paired with just mascara, or really dressy with more makeup. It's super easy to apply, lasts a decent amount of time, and ALWAYS looks natural.

Don't worry about the color in the tube - it looks black. You will not look gothy. Your lips will look glowy and defined, but natural.

I've bought other shades, but nothing is as good as Black Honey. I have a tube at home, one in my drawer at work, and one in my bag. Remember that old haircolor commercial that had the "it's you, only better" tag? That's what Black Honey can do for you!...
...

sassyjenski says "Works way better than many salon products " about Suave Sleek Shampoo

This is a really basic shampoo (doesn't smell great, doesn't have a lovely package) that really, really works. My hair is super smooth and shiny, but not weighed down. I have fine, wavy hair that often has flyaways - but not with Sleek.

I recommend this all the time. I'm a bit of a product snob - I buy the highest quality I can afford. I think my two favorite shampoos (Suave and Pureology) are at opposite price ranges, but I'd say they work equally well - you're really just paying more for the experience of Pureology. Suave is a fantastic workhorse.
...

sassyjenski says "Amazing -dare I say orgasmic?" about Pureology Hydrate System Duo

This stuff is worth every penny. It is thick, lathers great, and lasts a LONG time. The smell is a bit medicinal/herbal, but I LOVE the minty tingle. My salon uses this. When they shampoo, they do a scalp massage. The massage with the tingly mint is a near religious experience.

Best of all? It actually does what it says it will - namely, protect your color. Good thing, because I can barely remember what my natural color is!
...

sassyjenski says "not as good as its reputation" about Maybelline Great Lash Mascara Soft Black .43 oz.

This is a cult classic, and for some good reasons - the tube is a fun, iconic design, it's really inexpensive, the colors are true (I hate whne it's labeled "black" and is greyish or bluish).

However, this mascara just doesn't hold a candle to all the new mascaras containing lengthening fibers. This really just coats your lashes in black - no noticible lengthening or thickening. If you have lush, light lashes, this would be great. If you like a natural, understated look, don't spend more money - go for Great Lash. If you go for flashy, long, thick lashes, you will be sorely disappointed.

...

sassyjenski says "Amazing mascara - I have lashes now!!" about Dior Diorshow Mascara

Such a great mascara. I have fine blonde lashes. These make them look long, dark, and thick! The black is a great shade - very black, but still natural looking. It is a little clumpy, but easily brushes through. It doesn't smudge much, and I am an eye-rubber.

Awesome stuff. Worth the price.
...
