sandraspeaks says "If you saw Bruce Almighty, you will be disappointed. " about Evan Almighty

I was very disappointed when we saw this in the theater. I was expecting that it would be as funny at Bruce Almighty. At times it didn't make sense and the message was odd. Then it didn't make sense, there was a bridge that caused a flood but the water only ran down the mainstreet instead of the side ones? — It had a lot of potential, but it just didn't make the mark. This was designed for the Christian market (as the last one was designed for humor first) and the purpose of the movie was more for the getonboard.com concept than the movie. — The characters were not as connected -you started with a sub character in the first movie being married with kids, but you really never learned about the family unit much. There were lots of gaps and it was a BIG disappointment for us. We normally buy all the new movies we like, this one was not purchased. — I hope there isn't a 3rd one planned. —...

sandraspeaks says "my favorite zoo --When in Chicago, go to the zoo" about Lincoln Park Zoo - Chicago, IL

The zoo is a great treat when visiting the city. It's free and on the bus route so it is easy to get to from almost any location in the city or north side of Chicago. — There is a farm, which is fun. I love to see the peguins. Also the tigers are just great. — In the fall and winter months, the zoo rents out a lot of the animals and the exhibits are left empty. So you may have walked to the back of the zoo to find out the giraffes are not there. — It's a good idea to print an online map before you arrive as they are hard to find once you arrive at the zoo. The gift shop is rather expensive, but most are at these type of tourist locations. — Pack a lunch and walk over to the grass by your car and have an instant picnic while you watch the joggers, bikers, and dog walkers go by. It will be a great day at the zoo. —...

sandraspeaks says "one of the best stocking stuffer gifts to buy" about Avon Naturals Shower Gel

My family loves these. They come in all kinds of scents and new ones are being introduced all the time. Normally they are on sale for about $2.99 in the book. (Whoever said they paid $5 for one, doesn't have a very good Avon rep....as normally they are not that high priced.) — Cucumber melon is my favorite scent. Although I hear the blueberry and raspberry scents are nice. Wasn't a fan of spiced pumpkin or vanilla, but I think I have tried them all. — Here's a tip: save the empty bottles and fill with shampoo and conditioner for those long trips from home. I did this when we went to China for 2 weeks. This way it was small, convenient, and I could use my favorite brands all the while I was away. More bang for your buck if you are thrifty. —...

http://www.artic.edu/aic/visitor_info/ — Check out their website for more information. — It's a big place, you could stay all day. — The website says: One of the great art museums of the world, the Art Institute of Chicago presents a collection spanning 5,000 years of artistic expression.
