rtreacy says "A fresh new singer and songwriter!" about Taylor Swift by Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift is a 17 year old singer and song writer. She has a beautiful voice. She is passionate about her music, and it shows in every lyric of this album. I typically get sick of a CD's after listening to them a time or two, and will then listen to a favorite song or two from the album from time to time on my iPod. However, this is a CD that I can put in and listen to time and time again. I recommend this CD for music lovers of all type. In all honesty, there are only a handful of songs which truly sound "country". Some of my favorites include, Pictures to Burn, Cold as You, Tied Together with a Smile and Beautiful. I truly love every song on this album though. What are you waiting for? Go get it!...

rtreacy says "Living with Undiagnosed Asperger's Syndrome" about Look Me in the Eye

John Elder Robison wrote an amazing memoir about living the majority of his life with undiagnosed Asperger's, a high functioning form of Autism. He was not diagnosed until the age of 40. His life was very lonely and misunderstood until he had this diagnosis. This book made me laugh out loud, and also made me cry. The world of Autism and Asperger's are still very confusing for people, and reading a first hand account of living the life is amazing to me. As a special education teacher, this topic is very near and dear to my heart. I believe that the world needs to learn more about Asperger's and Autism as the epidemic begins to sweep the nation, with 1 in 150 people diagnosed with Autism. The only way to help with Autism is to educate the public, and this book is a great starting...

rtreacy says "Quite possibly the most obnoxious game ever created..." about Hasbro Lucky Ducks Matching Game

Good Gravy! — — This truly is one of the most obnoxious games ever created. The ducks "swim" around a motorized pond and you try to match colors to win the game. This game is great for learning colors, and for memorizing. However, the constant quacking is HORRIBLE. — — I teach in a self-contained classroom for students with special needs. I thought this game would be awesome to help teach some of my students colors. However, with their sensory needs, this game was far too noisy and distracting from its ultimate purpose. Additionally, they tire easily from completing the same task. — — I tried bringing the game home to play with my 21 month old son, and realized that he too could not handle the constant quacking. He learned the game quickly, and now the game is hidden on the top shelf of his closet (where nothing can touch it and cause the quacking to begin!) — — To improve this game,...

rtreacy says "Hilarious! " about Knocked Up

This movie is hilarious! I think the cover of this movie says it all: "What if this guy got you pregnant?" I loved the story line from beginning to end and this is one that I can watch time and time again. I enjoy sarcastic humor, and this movie is full of it! Obviously not meant for the serious, but this movie is great if you are looking for some...

rtreacy says "Healthy start for a healthy life!" about Earth's Best Organic Baby Food

Earth's best was all that I fed my son until he began to eat solid foods! We were able to find a wide variety in our areas. Also, the cheapest place to purchase Earth's Best is at Costco!! However, this pack contains only 8 different kinds. Babies R Us also sends variety packs which are cheaper than buying Earth's Best jar by jar. My son is now almost 2 and h is a great eater. I think that a big part of that was that Earth's Best doesn't add sugar and other unnecessary ingredients to their baby foods, the way that other companies do! ...

rtreacy says "Want a great game to teach cause and effect?" about Hasbro Mousetrap Game

This game is great fun, however most children need a grown up to play with them! Pieces need to be put together just right for the game to work properly. Also, the reason the game takes awhile to put together, is that is what the game is all about! Children love to watch the creation of the mouse trap and to try to capture each other's mice! This game is fun for the entire...

rtreacy says "Want to attend a fun and challenging college?" about Gonzaga University

Gonzaga is a fun and challening school. Students attend classes of a small size, taught by actual professors. There are no Grad Students teaching classes. Additionally, every professor will know you by name when you exit their classroom at the end of the semester. Once you pick a major, you become part of a family, as the student body has about 1,000 students in each level. Gonzaga has Undergraduate and Graduate courses, as well as a law school. Also, one of the best parts of Gonzaga...the BASKETBALL TEAM!!! ...
