rosomom says "Keeps those kids busy!" about Step 2 Naturally Playful Sand and Water Activity Center At Kohl's

The Step 2 Naturally Playful Sand and Water Table was given to my daughter as a gift for her second birthday. It was very easy to assemble, and came with two bridges and two boats to use in the water portion of the table. Obviously the sand and water will mix eventually, and my two-year old had a lot of trouble keeping sand IN the table, but this was more a function or her age than any flaw in the table.

My girls play with this on a daily basis. It is perfect height for them to stand next to. They practice building sand castles and floating boats. In the winter, we clean out the sand and bring it inside. I then rotate different items in the table (dry beans, rocks, shells, etc.) for a sensory table experience. The cover is very sturdy, and stays on with the help of an elastic band at each end. It has held up through rain and snow, as well as my daughters actually standing on top of it.

I especially like the natural color of the table. We have several other Naturally Playful pieces, and our...
...

rosomom says "We have one for each kid- useful for years!" about Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster Seat

I purchased the Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster Seat for my oldest daughter when she was about 8 months old. We already owned a Healthy Care High Chair, so I knew the removable tray was something I wanted. I liked the convenience of putting them in the dishwasher. I also really like my kids to SIT STILL when they are eating, so it was important for me to be able to strap them in and keep them corraled. For the first year or so, we used this a few times a month.

When my daughter began sitting in a regular chair at the table, we just strapped the booster seat onto the chair and she was able to reach the table just like we were (no longer needing the tray). She's been sitting in it for meals ever since, and she's now 5. We find the seat easy to strap on to a variety of chairs. At our house we regularly used it with a barstool with a back and a wooden kitchen chair. I've also strapped it to picnic tables (on the top surface, not the bench), a lawn chair, and the tailgate of a pickup truck.......

rosomom says "Best sleep I've EVER had! (And I'm even pregnant)" about Sleep Number Bed - Select Comfort

Why did I need a new bed?

Myhusband and I purchased the 5000 series Sleep Number bed in November 2007 from the retail store at our local mall. Our past experiences with "traditional" mattresses had been less than stellar, and I think we spent way too much money on them. We were planning to have another baby, and I knew I would NOT be able to go through another pregnancy on our saggy mattress. We were desperate for more comfort, so on the recommendation of a friend, we headed to the Sleep Number store...on the day after Thanksgiving...with two toddlers in tow. (Didn't I say we were desperate?!?)

At the store

After the clerk helped us find our "numbers" (mine was 45, husband's was 70), we were able to take care of the financing and ordering process quite quickly. We went ahead and paid the $150 extra to have the bed assembled at delivery. This also included them hauling away our old crappy mattress. Good riddance!!

The delivery process

Within a week I was contacted by a Sleep Number representative...
...

rosomom says "Didn't remove stains" about Spray n' Wash Laundry Stain Remover with Resolve Power

I bought this Spray n Wash with Resolve power mostly because Resolve carpet cleaning spray has successfully rid our carpet of several nasty pet stains. Generally I pretreat any stains on clothing (and we have a lot of stains - 2 preschoolers and an infant in the house) with Tide directly on the stain. This time I used only the Spray n Wash with Resolve.

After following the directions and washing the items, I found that it did not remove mud from a pink knit shirt, or ketchup from a blue knit dress. I was very disappointed, especially since I think my previous method of applying Tide would have worked better! Just to give the produce another try, I treated them again (out of the washer still wet), but still no luck. Tide got them out.

I will not be buying this product again.
...
