rosiern says "I'm ready to throw it out a window!" about Hewlett Packard All In Ones, Photosmart Printers

You would think, after less than stellar performances from two prior HP printers, I wouldn't buy another one...but I did. I purchased a HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-one. I print a lot of pictures, and I liked the several different colored ink cartridges. I also do a lot of printing. There has been an ongoing problem with it, ever since I bought it. Tech support people are clueless. I've tried utilizing their services at least three different times; they would just give up. Asking to speak with a supervisor wasn't an option. Can you imagine what a pain it is, to have a message come up saying the printer is offline? This happens every one - three days. That results in my having to uninstall, then reinstall the printer. Since this has been an ongoing problem, I mentioned to tech support, perhaps I could get a replacement printer since this one was still under warrenty. As expected they weren't amenable to that idea. When I asked for a supervisor, I was told they were the supervisor. That...
...

rosiern says "Buy the generic Ibuprophen! Better than narcotics!!" about Advil Ibuprofen Tablets

Like many people, I call Ibuprophen Advil! The only difference, is one is generic, which makes it much, much cheaper than the brand name. In April, I had my seventh spinal surgery, so I know a bit about pain. My medicine drawer has quite a street value, with all the narcotics I have in there. I'm here to tell you...Ibuprophen works so much better than they do. The narcotics aren't anti-inflamitory, while Ibuprophen is. Over the past several years, I have known many people with chronic back pain, and each of us has said we prefer Ibuprophen over narcotics. IV narcotics are a different story; I'm only referring to oral meds such as Vicodin, Norco and all the others that are out there. Ibuprophen is also best for reducing fevers. Children's Ibuprophen is best for reducing fever in anyone too young to take the adult sized dose Ibuprophen. Remember, we don't give aspirin to anyone under the age of eighteen because of Reye's syndrome! It also isn't as hard on the stomach as aspirin is.

A word...
...

I'm a RN who worked in COC/UR, so I know how to fight with them. I feel sad for lay people who are clueless about some of the underhanded practices they employ. They have no idea how to fight them, and it isn't easy!...

This my second Toyota, and I love it. My very first car was a convertible, and I've wanted another one ever since. The kids are grown, so now I bought my "play" car; we have my husband's Avalon, for travel and other things. No one drives my car but me!!...

I already had my AA degree in nursing, when I decided I wanted to get my BA. We were a small group, who stayed together for the full 18 months. Some of the teachers were a joke, and we felt cheated. All in all, it's a good school....

rosiern says "It truly is the Emerald Isle!" about Ireland

Thanks to cruising, I've been to many different countries; some I would love to return to; others...not so much. Because Ireland is an island, the foliage is beautiful with it's varying shades of green. Everywhere I looked, the lush green took my breath away. The varying hues were beautiful. I must have been Irish in a prior lifetime, as I fell in love with it. The quaint little villages, were like taking a step back in time. They were lovely, and appeared to be the perfect places to live. All signs are in English and Gaelic. Learning Gaelic is now mandatory for all school children. The grounds surrounding Blarney Castle, are beautiful and quite extensive. The view from ground level is beautiful. I can only imagine how it must look from the top. I was unable to climb to the top of the castle, as I was still recovering from spinal surgery. The steps are the original narrow, winding and uneven stairs from a time long past. I hope to be able to return to Ireland some day.
...

rosiern says "64 Bit Nightmare" about Dell XPS 400

Two months ago, I received my third Dell desk top computer. It's a XPS Studio 420. I custom ordered it, including making it a 64 bit for better graphics. Big mistake! Almost every program I have downloaded, has turned out to not be compatible wth 64 bit. It would be helpful if programs would have that fact listed with the download requirements. Very few state they only work with 32 bit...for now. That's irritating enough, but the program causes my computer to malfunction, which results with me online with tech support for a couple of hours. They have to take control of my computer, to rid my computer of the offending program. Plus, they always make other changes to my computer.

In all probability within the next two years, most if not all, new computers will come with 64 bit. Hopefully by then, most programs will be compatible with it. The grapics are better than on 32 bit computers. I wish I had known about the compatibility issues prior to purchasing this computer. Because of the frequent aggravation...
...
