rosie2002 says "A great way to add to a college savings fund." about Upromise

I heard about Upromise from our local grocery store. I thought it was too good to be true. I get money back for my son's college education (mind you he's 6 months) without having to change the way I do things.

Of course it was too good to be true. I had to change my spending habits a little. I now check the upromise website before I do any purchases. I buy my gas only at Exxon/Mobil. I make sure that I buy grocery products that give money back. I try to eat at local restuarants that give money back. And I go through the website to make ANY online purchases. I even signed up for their credit card.

By making these changes, I have discovered some really cool restuarants in my neighborhood, new products at my grocery store, and I have earned almost $30 dollars in 3 months. (I just started using the credit card this month. It gives back 1% on EVERY purchase).

My goal is to use Upromise to save about 200 to 300 dollars a year towards my son's college education. That might not be a lot, but it...
...

rosie2002 says "This is the best monitor for a good night sleep." about Bebe Sounds Angel Care Movement Sensor Baby Monitor

As a new mom, I read all the books on what to expect with a newborn. I was so deathly afraid of SIDS, especially after knowing someone who had a baby almost die from SIDS. For the first week of my son's life, I slept on the floor next to his crib and every hour check to make sure he was breathing. Finally, my husband was tired of watching me sleep on the floor and bought me this monitor.

My son was a very heavy sleeper from the beginning, and it would look like he had stopped breathing. We had many alarms go off, but it was worth the piece of mind. At age 4 months, we stopped using the monitor because he was always rolling off the sensor pad.

This product is well worth it to allow you to get a full nights sleep!
...

rosie2002 says "I love my car" about Volvo S40 - 2006

After being in a major accident in 2005 (rear-ended by a car doing 50 mph while I was stopped at a light), I needed a car that was super safe and affordable. I looked for 2 months before I found the S40. It had everything I was looking for...extra safety features, high ratings from the iihs, fun to drive, sorta sporty (for a Volvo), and most important I felt safe behind the wheel.

When we decided to purchase the car, the dealer told us about the option to pick it up in Sweeden. Volvo paid for my husband and I to fly out to Goteburg, Sweeden, and drive our new car around while we are on vacation. It was an awesome vacation. And the best part was...we saved about $3000 dollars off the price of the car. A win/win situation if you ask me.

I've had the car almost two years. I've been in another accident (rear-ended by a Lincoln Navagator doing 30 mph while I was stopped at a light) and was thanking God that I had bought this car. This car has already saved my life.
...

rosie2002 says "Great Camera, but fragile" about Olympus - Stylus 720 SW Digital Camera

I have really enjoyed my camera until it broke. I am the mother of a 6 month old, and take non-stop pictures. The only problem that I had with the camera is that it is super fragile. I kept the camera in the baby bag or purse when not using, and just the josiling it received in those bags was enough to make the lens motor stop working. After calling Olympus, they fixed the camera. Otherwise, GREAT CAMERA. Takes beautiful pictures once you put it in the right setting....
