robin42006 says "buy it" about Apple - iPod Touch

Touch comes to iPod. Introducing iPod touch. iPod touch features the same revolutionary interface as iPhone. Built to take full advantage of the large 3.5-inch display, the multi-touch interface lets you control everything using only your fingers. So you can glide through albums with Cover Flow, flick through photos and enlarge them with a pinch, or zoom in and out on a section of a web page. And iPod touch features a touchscreen QWERTY keyboard perfect for browsing the web in Safari, searching for videos on YouTube, finding music on the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store, or adding new contacts.
Ambient Light Sensor
The iPod touch display has an ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts brightness to suit the ambient light in your surroundings. The result? A better experience for you and battery-saving efficiency for iPod touch.

Accelerometer
An accelerometer detects when you rotate iPod touch from portrait to landscape, then automatically changes the contents of the display, so you immediately...
...

robin42006 says "buy it " about Garmin - Nuvi 660

The Garmin Nuvi 660 offers an accurate GPS receiver, text-to-speech functionality, and traffic capabilities. The versatile system also features a gorgeous display, integrated Bluetooth, travel tools, and multimedia functions.
The bad: The device is expensive, and there are no external volume controls. The system also doesn't support multidestination route creation.

The bottom line: If you can afford the hefty price tag, the Garmin Nuvi 660 is a solid-performing and versatile GPS device that offers all the navigation basics, tools for the world traveler, Bluetooth, and more.
Specs: Destination: Automotive; Weight: 6.7 oz; Audible assistance: Navigation......

robin42006 says "buy it" about Samsung - A900 Cell Phone

The 1.3-megapixel camera takes pictures in four resolutions: 1,280x960, 800x600, 640x480, and 240x320. Other options include three image-quality settings, a flash, a self-timer, portrait and landscape modes, 10 fun frames, brightness and white-balance controls, eight color tones, and four shutter sounds, as well as a silent option. You also get a 5X zoom, but it's usable at only the lower resolutions. Like music files, all pictures are stored on the phone, but a nifty status bar tells you how much space is remaining. Image quality was admirable, with distinct colors. Unlike with the MM-A940, pictures were rarely blurry, but they tended to look washed-out.Music quality was surprisingly good through the stereo speakers on the front flap. Sure, it won't compare to that of a stand-alone MP3 player, but songs came through loud and clear. With the phone, open the speakers away from you, so sound quality will diminish somewhat. We tried downloading "Forever Young" by Youth Group and "Don't Cha"......

robin42006 says "buy it" about Black an Decker Toaster Oven -1350 Watts TRO700 Series

Reviews say that the 31115's performance belies its low price. It offers much more than you'd expect: a broiler function, automatic shutoff, 4-slice capacity, and a 2-year warranty. Reviews say that it does a particularly good job with frozen foods. As with many toaster ovens, making perfect toast requires some trial-and-error. Some owners find the ticking timer a little irritating, and the timer can only be set for 15 minutes. But if you don't plan on much besides heating frozen chicken nuggets and pizza, the no-frills Proctor Silex toaster oven has a good track record so far.The Toasty is a hit with owners posting reviews to Amazon.com, who say it does the basics well including toasting bread, heating frozen pizza and warming leftovers, but it's not meant for much more than that. There's no broil function, no thermostat and just a 15-minute timer....

robin42006 says "for the money you pay, its worth it" about Dell Inspiron 1501, Turion X2 TL-60 (2.0GHz) 1GB DDR2, 9-cell Battery, Vista Home Premium, IGP 256MB... PC Notebook

long story short,
yes its a little exspensive, yes it may be a little flashy and you will always worry about wear and tear, but with a durable casing and lightning fast features it's def worth it. The notebook is sturdy enough to feel comfortable lifting it by one corner. It's not rugged or as well built as many business laptops, such as a ThinkPad or Dell's own Latitude line -- the screen latch is plastic as opposed to metal on a Latitude for instance. But the Inspiron 1501 is not flimsy by any means, the only real flex I could find on the casing was at the top just above the keyboard. One knock against the build is that Dell uses a plastic dummy to fill in the slot for the ExpressCard opening when it's not in use. It looks cheap, feels cheap and awkward not to mention the plastic piece is begging to be lost if you remove it. Unfortunately, many manufacturers use this approach instead of integrated flaps to protect the notebook from dust when the slot isn't in use....
