I usually cook everything from scratch when I make dinner, but I saw the Ortega Taco Kit at the commissary for under $2.00, so I had to take a chance and try something new. Since all I needed to buy was ground beef and taco toppings, I thought it would be worth buying even if it sucked.

The Ortega Taco Kit makes 12 tacos and includes the following:

Ortega taco seasoning packet
Packet of Ortega Taco Sauce
12 crunchy taco shells

I liked how easy this kit made it to prepare crunchy tacos. Simply brown ground beef with the taco seasoning packet and bake taco shells to get them crispy. Then top with your favorite taco ingredients. I added shredded lettuce and cheddar cheese.

I thought the ground beef tasted great. It was well seasoned and flavorful. The Ortega Taco Sauce was too mild for my liking. My husband and I like spicy food and this taco sauce didn't have enough flavor for us. The shells were good and we didn't think they needed to be baked to be good. We liked them...

I normally buy baby bath products that have a nice scent because I like my son's hair to smell nice when he gets out of the bath, but my friend bought him Dr. Bronner's Baby Mild Liquid Soap, so we needed to use it up.

I love that this product is made with all natural ingredients and organic, but since it is fragrance-free, it imparts no scent on my son's hair. Dr. Bronner's Baby Mild Liquid Soap is supposed to be great for babies and adults with sensitive skin since it is fragrance-free and contains nothing but all natural oils, water, glycerin and vitamin E.

This soap is also a multi-purpose product. As with all Dr. Bronner's Liquid Soaps, you can clean the kitchen & bathroom with it, rinse fruits & veggies or use it for the body. I have this product in a Citrus scent and use it to clean my kitchen sink. Although this product is called Baby Mild Liquid Soap, nowhere on it does it say that it is tear-free. My son hasn't cried from using this, but it would be nice to know.

My son isn't very interested in coloring or using crayons, so I wanted to find something fun for him to try to get him more involved in arts and crafts. When I saw Crayola Beginnings TaDoodles Washable First Marks at Target, I knew they were exactly what I was looking for. I excitedly brought them home for my toddler, only to find out that they aren't as great as they first seemed.

Tastefully Simple Cheesy Chive Warm Dip Mix is one of the many dips that Tastefully Simple offers, but only a couple of those dips are "Warm Dips". Which means you heat them in the microwave and serve them warm.

Warm the Oven Warm Dip Mix used to be my favorite Warm Dip, but Cheesy Chive is quickly taking first place. I love it because it is so easy to make and because it is delicious! It has a great, creamy cheese flavor with a hint of mild chive in the background.

To make this dip, simply add the dip mix to 8 ounces of cream cheese and a couple tablespoons of shredded cheddar cheese. Heat in the microwave until hot. When you take Tastefully Simple Cheesy Chive Warm Dip Mix out of the microwave, it will be all melted and gooey! It has to be hot though, if you serve it at room temperature, you don't get the wonderful flavors of cheese and chives as strongly.

When I make this dip, I like to serve it with tortilla chips, but I look forward to trying it how a customer of mine...

I love all things with a citrus scent, so when I placed my first order at Yves Rocher a couple months ago, I definitely had to add Yves Rocher Florida Orange Shower Gel to my order.

Yves Rocher describes this product as: "Florida oranges are renowned for their sweet, abundant juice. This delightful gel forms a lush lather, bursting with the energizing freshness of sunkissed oranges."

What I like about Yves Rocher Florida Orange Shower Gel is the amazing scent. It smells just like freshly cut juicy oranges mixed with orange candy. If you like citrus scents, or orange in particular, you would love the way this smells! What I don't like about this product is the fact that it is made with not-so-great ingredients. The Yves Rocher website does not include an ingredients list for their products, so when I purchased this, I had no idea what was in it.

It does lather nicely in the shower and it smells amazing, but I would not have bought it had I known what it was made out of. ...

I wasn't much of a flosser before I found Oral-B EssentialFloss Waxed Dental Floss. I was anal about brushing my teeth, but flossing was so laborous and just felt like a chore. Since I found this Oral-B dental floss, flossing is so easy, I really don't mind it anymore.

Oral-B EssentialFloss Waxed Dental Floss is kind of flat like dental tape, but not very wide, so the width is similar to traditional dental floss. It has a wax coating and a "shred-resistant texture". I love this product because of how easily it glides between my teeth. It even gets in between my molars in the back of my mouth in a cinch, and they are usually hard to floss. Like the packaging says this floss really is shred-resistant. It has never shredded since I started using it. Oral-B EssentialFloss Waxed Dental Floss comes in two flavors: regular and mint. I buy mint because I love the mintiness that it leaves in my mouth afterwards, it just feels refreshing.

I eat a lot of frozen entrees for my lunch and feel like I eat the same ones over and over again, so I recently bought a new one - Lean Cuisine Shrimp & Angel Hair Pasta. I love pasta and I love it when there is seafood in my pasta, so this meal seemed perfect. It didn't meet my expectations, but it isn't horrible either.

Lean Cuisine Shrimp & Angel Hair Pasta contains spaghetti (not angel hair as the title implies), shrimp, red bell pepper and carrots in a "creamy seafood sauce".

What I do like about this entree is that it has above average sized shrimp in it for a frozen meal. Usually, the shrimp in these kinds of frozen entrees are those tiny, bay shrimp. The shrimp in this meal are much bigger and more substantial. Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I have to say about Lean Cuisine Shrimp & Angel Hair Pasta. The sauce is horrible. I didn't have a great experience with Glade Jarred Candle - French Vanilla, so I expected all Glade candles to be of the same poor quality. Lucky for me, I took another chance on Glade candles and bought Glade Creamy Custard & Blushing Apple 2 in 1 Candle. Unlike the French Vanilla candle, this candle not only smells good, but makes my whole house smell good too.

Glade Creamy Custard & Blushing Apple 2 in 1 Candle is a glorious mix of two great scents. The bottom half of the candle is red with the Blushing Apple scent, the top half is a cream color and has the Creamy Custard scent. When I burn it on my dining room table, I can smell it in the living room and kitchen too. It smells kind of candyish like caramel apple, but I love it.

I only wish that this candle was made with soy wax, since it is better for the environment and burns longer and cleaner. It is at least infused with essential oils instead of artificial fragrances. I like that small, jarred Glade candles are relatively...

I bought L'Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow in the color scheme: Smokey Eyes and loved it, so I took a chance on L'Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow in the shade Eva's Violets. Unfortunately, this eye shadow quad is nothing like the great Smokey Eyes quad, so I am stuck with some mediocre eye shadow.

The title of the color scheme, Eva's Violets, is named after Eva Longoria who endorses this brand of make-up. Apparently, these are the colors that she wears - good luck to her! I am so disappointed in this eye shadow.

L'Oreal Wear Infinite Eye Shadow Eva's Violets is an eye shadow quad that contains a purple/violet color scheme. It includes a matte dark purple, matte white, matte pink and a frosty lavender color. The only color I like in this set is the frosty lavender. The other three colors which are matte, are poor-quality. You can't even see them on your skin. A couple months ago, I went to a Victoria's Secret store to shop the sale section and see if there were any great finds. Yes there was - Victoria's Secret The Angel Sleep Tee. It was on sale for $9.99 and had a regular price of $26.00, so I scored!

I would give these pajamas a ten star rating if I could, because they are absolutely perfect. The Victoria's Secret The Angel Sleep Tee is a super comfy sleep shirt that is slightly form-fitting, but not too clingy. It is made out of the softest material, it feels so luxurious and comfortable on your body. It has short sleeves that go about to your elbow, has a round, scoop neck and falls a little above the knee. There is a pocket on the chest with an embroidered VS logo and design.

I love that this sleep shirt isn't too tight or clingy, because that tends to make me feel restricted and uncomfortable. It hangs on the body perfectly. The best part of the Victoria's Secret The Angel Sleep Shirt is definitely how soft it is. ...

There are a couple of things that I just have to buy when I see a cool one: lip balms, cook books and bar soap. I don't like to use bar soap in the shower, but I love to wash my hands with it. I love having unique bar soaps in my guest bathroom too! Whole Foods Lemon Verbena French Milled Soap seemed great because it has a citrus scent, but I was left a little disappointed.

This soap did meet several of my requirements: made with all natural ingredients, not tested on animals and paraben-free. Unfortunately, the scent is very weak and almost unnoticeable.

When I wash my hands with this soap, it lathers fine, but it doesn't feel as moisturizing as my favorite soap, South of France Mango Soap. I have to actually bring the soap up to my nose to see what it smells like. The scent smells like a very mild version of tart lemon with a touch of cream - but it's very mild. Originally, I bought Nature Valley Pecan Crunch Crunchy Granola Bars for my toddler. He is a constant snacker and loves granola bars, so I thought he would love these. What I didn't expect is that mommy loves them too and doesn't want to share!

A box includes six pouches with two granola bars in each pouch. I find just one of the granola bars in the pouch to be a sufficient snack, so I give the other one to my son. Nature Valley Pecan Crunch Crunchy Granola Bars are thin, about a third of an inch thick. They are very crunchy and easily fall apart into a million pieces, but they're worth it.

The flavor Pecan Crunch is delicous. It is filled with oats, crisp rice and pecan pieces. They have the flavors of cinnamon, sugar and a rich, nuttiness from the pecans. They are very crisp, crunchy and satisfying as a late-night snack or dessert.

Nutrition (2 bars): 190 calories, 7g fat, 170mg sodium, 2g fiber, 4g protein

My mom knows I don't go anywhere without my reusable bags. I try to live an eco-friendly lifestyle and have several types of reusable bags that I keep in my car for when I go shopping to the grocery store, Target or where ever. For my birthday, my mom bought me a Typhoon Bio-Degradable Shopping Bag in my favorite color combination, chocolate brown and blue. This large bag measures approximately 16 x 13 and is about 5 inches wide. The material is not stated on the tag that it came with, but it feels like an extra thick linen reinforced with a plastic-like backing on the inside of the bag. The plastic-like inside of the bag makes it both sturdy and durable. Each side of the inside of the bag has an elastic holder for a water bottle. There is also a Velcro fastener at the top of the bag.

My toddler used to eat anything and everything when he was a little younger. Recently, he has gone on an eating strike, making it impossible to give him nutritious food. All he wants to eat are crunchy carbs like: granola bars, chips and pretzels. Luckily, he loves fruit and cheese, but I can't get him to eat meat or veggies. While at the commissary recently, I decided to buy a couple of the Gerber Graduates for Toddlers Lil' Entrees. They are complete meals that include a side of veggies and the whole entree is a perfect size portion.

Gerber Graduates for Toddlers Lil' Entrees Mashed Potatoes & Gravy with Roasted Chicken is a small, 5.3 ounce meal for toddlers. One side of the tray has mashed potatoes, chunks of chicken and gravy. When I worked at Whole Foods Market, I was the body care buyer, so it was my job to buy the products that stocked the shelves. We decided to bring in a brand-new line of all natural make-up called Mineral Fusion, and I am so glad I did. Their products are not only all natural, but not tested on animals and loaded with antioxidants that are good for your skin.

I have been using my Mineral Fusion Kabuki Brush for about a year and a half now and it is still in great condition. Someone from the company told me that some of their brushes are made from squirrel fur, but I'm not sure if the Kabuki Brush is one of those. I first got introduced to MyChelle when I worked at Whole Foods Market. It has been the best line of facial products that I have tried. Like all MyChelle products, Apple Brightening Cleanser is all natural, not tested on animals, paraben-free, petroleum-free and made with high-quality ingredients.

MyChelle says: "Apple Brightening Cleanser is a sulfate-free cleanser designed to assist in skin brightening and gently exfoliate , hyperpigmented skin with natural apple fruit acids while powerful antioxidants protect against free radical damage".

Although I don't have damaged or hyperpigmented skin, this facial cleanser is good for my dry skin in the cold winter months. I wish it smelled like tart, green apples, but it doesn't, it has a very mild apple scent. After using MyChelle Apple Brightening Cleanser, I don't feel like I need to apply a facial moisturizer. I love to cook, but I don't like having a lot of clutter on my countertops. I always put my toaster and other small appliances back in the cupboard after using them because I think they make the counter look messy. Hence my hesitation in buying a toaster oven. Where the heck would I put it?

Call me weird, but my family didn't have a toaster oven growing up, so I was very unfamiliar with them. When I was having dinner at a friends house a couple months ago, I watched my friend put Texas Toast in her toaster oven. Oh my, I can eat Texas Toast without having to turn my oven on in the middle of August? I'm sold. A couple days later, I went to Target and bought the Emerson Stainless Steel Toaster Oven. It's small, so it doesn't take up a lot of counter space and it matches the rest of my stainless steel appliances.

I am primarily a tea drinker, but there are those days when my toddler wakes me up early in the morning and I really need some caffeine. It's not that I don't enjoy a good cup of coffee, I am just prone to becoming addicted to it. If I drink it too often, I can't function without it, so I broke that addiction a long time ago and now drink coffee as an occasional treat.

I felt like a cup of coffee this morning and made whatever we had in the cupboard which happened to be Millstone Hazelnut Cream Coffee. I wasn't expecting much because I am unfamiliar with the Millstone brand, but I am pleasantly surprised.

I have had other hazelnut flavored coffees before and thought the flavor was too sweet and tasted overly artificial. Millstone Hazelnut Cream Coffee is not very sweet at all, but still tastes good. Ironically, it is made with natural and artificial flavors. The front of the bag of coffee shows a big piece of cake with creamy frosting and little hazelnuts surrounding it. ...

I went to Target recently to buy my son some more Circo Socks with Grippers that he has outgrown. They were great socks and inexpensive at around $1.50 a pair. On my way to the baby clothes aisle, I happened to pass a clearance rack which had a package of 10 pairs of Circo Crew Socks for only $3.14 instead of its regular price of $6.29 - which is still a good deal. Even though they don't have the rubber gripping that the other socks have, I couldn't pass up this bargain!

I'm not sure if they make these value packs in any other color, but the only color available when I bought them was white. Circo Crew Socks come in a variety of sizes from babies to toddlers. My son is 20 months old and wears a size 7 shoe. The package recommended we get the 2T-3T size based on his shoe size. The ankle part of the sock is the typical ribbed cotton that crew socks have, and have a reinforced, stretchy band around the top of the sock.
