rlo says "there are no good cable companies" about Charter - Cable TV

Like all cable companies - the prices continue to go up at incredible rates...and we only have extended cable!

I have not had any dealings with their customer service, which is a good thing because it means nothing has gone wrong.

We don't have options for other cable companies where we live...Charter is the only one we could get.

I'd like to see more competition among cable companies to win over the customer.
...

rlo says "Skip it" about Steve and Barry's - Port Washington, NY

My friend & I recently went into Steve & Barry's for the first time - to the Santa Monica, CA store. We were so excited because we'd both seen the Bitten line advertised & heard how low the prices were.

What a let-down. The items are not marked with prices - sometimes you can find the prices posted on a sign above the rack - but if there are multiple items you don't know what the price applies to. Don't assume - we did and when the clerk double checked, we were wrong.

I tried on four pairs of pants - all the same size, different styles. Some were too big & others were too small. Talk about inconsistent!!

We were equally unimpressed with the staff, they didn't seem to have had any training in providing good customer service. None were rude, and when we asked them questions they did help us. But they seemed more interested in having personal conversations with one another (face to face and over their store walkie-talkies) than asking customers if they could provide any assistance. ...
...

rlo says "Great food!" about Chadaka Thai - Burbank, CA

Chadaka is a charming Thai restaurant in downtown Burbank. The food is delicious and prices reasonable. The waitstaff is always helpful when I've asked questions about the dishes - whether is about the ingredients or what they would recommend.

I can't compare this place to other Thai restaurants...this is the first one I'd been to. But I have gone back again and again!!
...

rlo says "Excellent restaurant - you have to try it!" about Granville - Burbank, CA

This is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The food is exceptional, portions are very big. The bartender makes a lovely sangria with fresh fruit. We are usually too full for dessert, so we had to go specifically for dessert & coffee one night - and wow, it was delicious.

I think the prices are very reasonable for dinner, because the quality, service, flavor & portions are worth it. I would like to see a smaller, less expensive lunch menu.

The only difficult part about eating at Granville is choosing from the menu. It's been hard to decide between something I've had before and loved, and trying the next great item. I think I've been through at least 2/3 of the menu items so far and have loved everything!
...

rlo says "Compassionate & Caring staff" about Dr Weile - Rainbow Veternary Hospital - Burbank, CA

We have been going to Rainbow for about three years, with cats and dogs. When our little cat had an inoperable tumor - the doctor cried with us. When we got a new puppy the office couldn't wait to see how big he got at each visit. He always goes into detail about procedures, ailments, etc - even draws diagrams to help explain things.

Everyone there is very compassionate - they are sad when your pet is not well, excited when you get a new one - and it's sincere.

They are so wonderful, in fact, that they frequently overbook (I believe they try very hard not to turn anyone away) and the wait can be long. Dr. Weile is just that popular.

He's a hands-on vet, which I've found is not always the case. (I actually had a vet once say she wouldn't take the temperature of a dog because she didn't want it to 'hold a grudge' - ridiculous!!) He takes a lot of time to assess your animal by touching it, looking at it thoroughly & listening to the owner.

I really like the idea of holistic treatment...
...

rlo says "great for tough chewers" about Nylabone Galileo

Our nine month old Bull Terrier is a professional chewer! There are not a lot of toys that last with him - but the Galileo is tough. I can't say how long it will last because he's got a short attention span when it comes to chewing on things, so he doesn't sit & focus on this toy for very long. He prefers having us throw his toys around so he can chase & bring them back...not something I'd do with the Galileo since it's really hard.

There are only three sizes - we got him the middle one, the largest one was just too big. I would like to see something in between.

I definitely recommend this toy for it's durability.
...
