http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/rimfaske Tue, 13 Nov 2007 18:18:10 GMT Reviews by rimfaske http://www.viewpoints.com/Carnival-Cruise-Lines-Liberty-review-dd922 This was my first cruise and if this is the standard, I will never cruise again.  The staff was not friendly and the entertainment was beyond corny.  Being paired to sit with others at dinner is one thing, but my friend and I were seated with a couple who were much older and on a romantic cruise - not my idea of good pairing.  The cruise line obviously makes money by providing all the sight-seeing to the islands because it was almost impossible to get around without paying for the cruise line's canned tours.  The ship itself was in good condition and quite clean.  There was always food to be had.  I realize that Carnival is designed for family and the price was budgeted fairly well, but there was almost no place to go during the day that screaming children were not allowed.  Not my idea of a great vacation....
