reviewdude says "Great SUV, small third row but functional for the little ones. " about Toyota Highlander Hybrid - 2007

We bought a Toyota Highlander Hybrid last Fall. Our previous SUV was a Lexus RX300 so we were familiar with Toyota's (they own Lexus...) overall quality/value. The additional upfront cost of the hybrid engine was a concern at first but with the price of gas today we feel we made the right choice. We were filling up our RX300 once a week and now it's every other week with the Highlander Hybrid---same driving patterns. The actual MPG probably do not match the published figures but the cost savings on fuel are a true benefit so it really does not matter. The ride/fit/finish are consistent with Toyota's reputation. We're delighted with the Highlander Hybrid. Note: make sure you understand the IRS tax guidelines if you plan to taking the hybrid deduction...if you qualify for the AMT, you're probably out of luck....
