My husband loves pies, especially apple pie. I've made homemade apple pies for him before, but I always end up with a sink full of dishes. My kitchen is too small for a dishwasher, so I have to wash dishes by hand and I hate washing dishes. Having this problem, I went in search of a frozen apple pie that tastes like homemade and after trying several, I have found a winner..."Mrs. Smith's Special Recipe Deep Dish Apple Pie".

This 3 pound - 1 ounce pie is absolutely delicious. The crust bakes up flaky and golden brown. The filling (which is my favorite part) is loaded with apples and buttery, cinnamon goodness. It's just as good, if not better than homemade.

It's very simple to bake...all you do is preheat your oven to 375, put the pie on a cookie sheet (in case some of the filling boils out), cut a few slits in the top of the crust and bake for 70 to 80 minutes. So easy to do and hardly any dishes to wash. It's hard to believe that something so good could be so easy.

It's getting that time of year when people start using their slow cookers and crock-pots more. There is nothing like smelling pot roast or the taste of homemade chili that has been slow cooking for several hours, but Don't you just hate having to soak and scrub on those things? I have been using these liners for a couple of years now and they make clean up so much easier. All you have to do is put it in your slow cooker or crock-pot, put whatever it is you are wanting to cook in it, put the lid on and let it cook. The liners will fit round and oval shaped cookers. I love to snack!! I try to find snacks which are not only healthy, but taste great too. As far as puddings go, I have tried low fat and fat free before and they all taste artificial and crappy, so I stay far away from them. I look for regular, organic or all natural puddings which may have a few extra calories, but have a little lower fat content. Those type puddings taste the best and are worth buying.

I have been using Wet & Wild's H 2 0 Proof mascara for about 2 years now. It comes in several different colors....blue, black, brown-black and brown (I wear the brown).

This mascara lasts all day and it doesn't flake or smear. It is very easy to remove. It has a medium size brush which provides good coverage of your lashes. It thickens and conditions your lashes too.

What I like about it most is that it is waterproof. I have put it to the test several times (having it on when I cry) and it hasn't made me look like a raccoon yet...LOL!!

I have tried many waterproof mascaras in my 38 years and this is the best one so far and it only cost me $1.99 at CVS. I think WalMart also sells Wet & Wild products, but I'm not sure how much their price is.

If you are looking for a quality waterproof mascara at a very reasonable price, you can't go wrong with Wet & Wild's H 2 0 Proof.

I have found the best and fastest medicine for a headache or any ache that comes along....Excedrin Quick Tabs. The box I bought has 16 quick tabs in it and I paid $5.99 (+ tax) for them at CVS. The directions say to take 2 quick tabs every 6 hours and to not take more than 8 quick tabs in 24 hours. I've never had to take more than 2 during 24 hours. They contain 500 mg of Acetaminophen and 65 mg of Caffeine.

The best thing (other than getting rid of a horrible headache or any other kind of ache) is that you don't need water. That's right... NO WATER to wash it down. They melt in your mouth!! The kind I bought has a peppermint flavor which is really kind of refreshing and leaves your breath minty fresh. They do not have a bad taste at all.

After melting 2 of the quick tabs in my mouth, my headache is gone within 5 minutes....NO JOKE....only 5 minutes. I've never had anything (not even a prescription) knock-out a headache within 5 minutes. These things are amazing!!

I received a sample of Dove Pro Age Beauty Body Lotion in the mail about 2 weeks ago and I immediately had to go out and buy a big bottle. I have been using it everyday since then and have noticed that my skin is softer, has a healthy glow and smells divine.

This body lotion has a wonderful unique scent that is hard to put into words. It goes on smooth and silky and leaves your skin looking healthy and radiant...without being greasy.

It contains Alpha Hydroxy Acid which aids in keeping your skin younger looking. There is an SPF of 5, but it recommends wearing a stronger SPF if you are exposed to the sun. The reason for this is because the Alpha Hydroxy Acid may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun.

I drink a lot of water every day and I always have, but I have never really liked drinking "plain" water. Crystal Light Hydration On The Go makes it taste better, plus it has Electrolytes and Vitamins A, B's, C & E. It not only quenches my thirst...it hydrates me.

I have only tried the "lightly lemon" flavor, so I can't comment on the other flavors. To me, the lightly lemon kind of tastes like Gatorade (the green one).

The thing I don't like about it is that it contains Phenylalanine (Aspartame), which is a sweetener that has been linked to causing Cancer. It also has a lot of other additives which I am not familiar with.

I won't be buying any more of it because it contains Aspartame. I'll just have to find something else or just drink "plain" water.

A couple of weeks ago I was awarded the "Simple Thanks" and I used my gift certificate to order some coffee beans and goodies from Boca Java. One of the goodies I ordered was these crunchy, healthy and delicious cookies called "Java Bites"...the flavor....Vanilla Latte (they also have Chocolate Chip Espresso, but I didn't order them).

These cookies are truly delicious. They are loaded with white chocolate chips and Espresso bits, so you get the great taste of coffee and a cookie all in one. They are buttery and crunchy and "oh....so good". I fell in love with them with my first bite.

They are all natural, made with Organic flour and Organic Fair Trade Espresso Beans. There are no Trans Fats, no Hydrogenated Fats and are made with Cage Free Eggs that are Certified Humane.

I have eaten oatmeal almost all my life. I was never concerned and never really cared about the nutritional benefits or the amount of fiber in it until about 11 years ago when I was diagnosed with Diverticulitis. My doctor told me I needed to try and eat 35 grams of fiber a day, which is pretty hard to do. I've finally found an easy way to get most of my fiber intake by eating "Quaker High Fiber Instant Oatmeal" (Maple and Brown Sugar).

The Maple and Brown Sugar is delicious and I get 10 grams of fiber per pack...(I usually eat 2 packs, so that makes 20 grams...WOO HOO). I'm sure most people's hunger would be satisfied by only eating one because it is very filling, but I don't eat lunch, so it tides me over until supper. It is so creamy and tastes so good that I sometimes forget that it's good for me. There are 8 packs in a box and it cost me around $3.99. To me, it's a pretty good value because of the amount of fiber I'm getting.

I received my free sample of the "Kashi Dark Chocolate and Oatmeal Cookie" today. Woo Hoo!! It is (was) very tasty. I ate it as soon as I got it and I'm sorry to say that I didn't share with my hubby (I told him I had to eat the whole thing, so I could do a review on it...hehehehe)

About the cookie:

It is a regular sized chewy cookie packed full of dark chocolate chips. It tasted very fresh, almost like homemade. The oatmeal part of the cookie has a buttery taste with a good texture. The dark chocolate chips are semi-sweet and are packed full of flavor.

The cookie has a total of 130 calories, 21 grams of carbs and 8 grams of sugar. It also has 3 grams of fiber and 0 grams of trans fat (which is what I look at...I don't look at the calories...LOL). It's made with 7 whole grains and is all natural.

My thoughts:

I've been using Body by Victoria for a couple of years now. I love this scent, especially during the spring and summer. The light floral, clean, crisp, sexy scent makes heads turn when ever I have it on. There is no other perfume that smells this wonderful....at least not to me. I know everyone's body chemistry is different and perfume doesn't smell the same on me as it would on someone else, but I just don't think anyone could smell bad with this perfume on, It's too Heavenly!!

I highly recommend Body by Victoria, although it is a little pricey, it is totally worth it!!

The Swiffer WetJet is one of the best things ever invented. It's so easy and economical to use. You just put the bottle of cleaner on the handle, put a Swiffer Cleaning Pad on, give your floor a squirt and begin. When you are finished, you just throw away the cleaning pad. There is no rinsing out anything. It is so much better than using any kind of mop ever made. The liquid cleaner leaves your floors very clean and never sticky. With regular mops it seems to put a strain on my lower back, but not with a Swiffer WetJet, it glides across the floor with ease. There's no pulling and tugging.

I recommend the Swiffer WetJet to everyone who wants to have clean floors without all the mess of a regular mop and to those who has back problems. It is definitely a must have product.

Because of my chronic pain, I have been on strong narcotic pain meds for 2 1/2 years now and they have made me very nauseated at times until I found out about "Ting Ting Jahe Ginger Candy". When I bought the Bissell 3920 Bagless Upright Vacuum, I thought I had made an excellent choice, but I was wrong. I was excited to have my first "bagless" vacuum and thought it would be much better than the ones with bags. This thing is a mess to empty, dust goes everywhere. I have to wipe down the vacuum after every use. I have to take all the filters out and clean them before each use just so it will have enough sucking power. It has totally let me down and I would not recommend it to anyone. I will research my next vacuum cleaner very thoroughly before ever purchasing....

I bought the California King "Tempur-Pedic Classic Mattress" set when they first came out (around 5 years ago) and it was the best investment that I have ever made. Although it was pricey at a little over $2,000, it has been totally worth it.

I have never slept on anything so heavenly. The mattress contours to your body and leaves nothing untouched. It's almost like you are hugged all night long. I wake up every morning feeling rested which was not a feeling I got with other mattresses.

The commercials and infomercials which air on T.V. are telling the truth when they say "You can't feel your partner when they turn over or move". I have restless legs and my husband can't tell I'm moving, unless I kick him...LOL.

I never actually thought that after 5 years a mattress could still be in good shape and sleep just as good as the day I bought it, but the "Tempur-Pedic Classic Mattress" has really impressed me.

I have been searching a long time for a scrub which would minimize my pores as well as help with acne scars and acne. I have finally found it at Vitacost.com and the name of it is "Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub" for only $17.39.

It comes in a 2 ounce glass jar (which doesn't sound like much, but it is). It has a very light scent of citrus. This scrub contains 'silica, volcanic sand and pearl powder' which gives it a gritty texture, but not like sandpaper. The directions state that you can use it on either dry or wet skin. I have tried both ways and like them equally. Once you put it on your face, you are to massage it in an upward motion for 3 minutes then thoroughly rinse off and pat dry. It recommends doing this twice a week, although I have been using it 3 times a week.

It leaves your face feeling wonderfully soft and smooth without any redness (I haven't experienced any). I have been using it for 4 weeks now and my acne scars aren't as visible anymore. My pores are virtually gone...
