I've used this for a few days not. It's not too bad but not quite sweet enough.

It dissolves ok.

I prefer Splenda or Equal over this product but would use it if I had it available.

recorey says "Great Cleanser" about Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Cleanser

Have you tried Olay Regenerist daily regenerating cleanser? This is a wonderful cleanser! It exfoliates your skin and speeds cell's natural regeneration process.

I use this cleanser every day and night. It has a terrific fragrance and foams nicely. The cleanser contains "oxygenated derma-beads" that help exfoluate your skin. It actually feels kind of cool while you're washing your face. The derma-beads scrub your face but with a gentle foaming action. I have normal skin and it doesn't dry our my skin with everyday use. I follow it up with Olay regenerating moisturizers during the day, and a nightly cream as well.

My daughter has more oily skin and uses it nightly. She also feels refreshed when she uses it. She doesn't notice as many blackheads on her nose since she's been using it.

This cleanser is reasonably priced as well and you can find it almost anywhere. Check your Sunday papers too because Olay sometimes has coupons for their product :)

recorey says "Great shampoo and a great price!" about Dove Intense Damage Therapy Shampoo for Accumulated Damage

Dove Therapy Shampoo

My girls and I are very picky about our hair care products. We are a budget conscious family and this shampoo (and conditioner!) are a great price! It's about a 40oz bottle for right around $5.

My daughter seems to get build up in her hair (just her hair type) and we were constantly changing shampoos and trying new things. We'd go to Ulta and pick up specialty shampoos at fairly expensive prices.

One day she was shopping with a friend and the friend told her to try the Dove Therapy shampoo and conditioner. We've all tried it and are hooked!

The aroma is nice and it lathers VERY well. My daughter has long hair and uses very little shampoo for big lather! The conditioner is great as well and you don't have to use much at all. Both the shampoo and conditioner rinse out very easily. Hair is tangle free and great smelling when we get out of the shower.

This shampoo and conditioner protects us from frequent blow drying and flat irons.

recorey says "Not a bad mattress but could be better" about Supple-Pedic Supple-Pedic Mattress

Supple-Pedic Mattress

I bought a Supple-Pedic (memory foam type) mattress about 3 years ago. I wish I had purchased something else. It's supposed to work like other memory foam mattresses, relieving pressure on various parts of your body. However, many mornings I wake up stiff and sore. I've tried different pillows thinking that might be part of the problem, but haven't had any luck with that.

One other "con" - regular Queen sized sheets barely fit over this mattress. You'd have to buy the extended sizes for this mattress.

Now, I have to say my brother bought the same mattress and he absolutely loves it. Not sure why other than our different body types! :)

This mattress was VERY expensive (about $2400 for mattress and box springs). It's very heavy and very difficult to move (flip over or turn). There are no handles on the side of the mattress to make turning or flipping easy.

I'm thinking of giving this up very soon and going back to a regular pillow top mattress. ...
...

recorey says "Pretty good blackberry" about Blackberry - Curve 8330 Cell Phone

Blackberry Curve 8330

I had a Curve 8300 for my last job, but when the company went under I had to give it up. I have to say that I missed it! Yes, I'm addicted to getting my email at any time of the day! So I recently went out and upgraded from the enV 9900 to a new (pink) Blackberry Curve 8330.

Things I like about the Curve 8330:

Great new color! Ease of Use - I'm partial to a full key board! Can add several email addresses. Receive your email anywhere, anytime.

Some cons about this phone:

Trackball is erratic or non-functioning at times. Synch function sometimes does not work properly. I have it set to use the device as the "winner" in conflicts but it doesn't always work correctly.

I have Verizon, and the $29.99 for the data plan is pretty steep on top of a voice plan. Luckily, I have a discount of 21% through my employer, however, Verizon only applies the discount to the voice portion and not the data portion of the plan.

All in all a good phone though.
...

recorey says "Bare Minerals - easy to use and no mess!" about Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals Complexion Make-up

Bare Minerals - Foundation and makeup

A friend recommended this product to me about 2 years ago. All I can say is "wow!" This powered foundation and makeup is wonderful. It's easy to use blends in easily. There is a skintone color for everyone! The mineral vail finishing powder puts the finishing touches in place.

I love the primer lotion as well. It helps the makeup stay on throughout the day. I never even have to touch up during the day.

The brushes are fantastic. The don't lose "hair/bristles" and I haven't had to replace mine yet.

The eye colors are great as well. I use an eyeshadow primer, the sometimes but a base of the foundation on the lid to make the color smooth.

There are some knock off brands out there! Beware though. I tried one and it's definitely NOT the quality of Bare Minerals. The product is a little expensive, but let me tell you it lasts a long long time!

I'd recommend this to every woman!
...

There are some movies that aren't blockbusters that are just great movies.

Raising Helen stars: Kate Hudson, John Corbett, Joan Cusack, Helen Mirren, Abagail and Spencer Brennan, and a younger Hayden Panettiere.

After her sister and brother-in-law pass away in a car accident, Helen (Kate Hudson) gets custody of her sister's 3 children. She has a glamorous job (Talent/Modeling agency) and a New York City life style and is definitely the "coolest aunt." But she has trouble adjusting to parenthood.

Throughout the ups and downs, Helen realizes that perhaps a career isn't everything.

It's funny, serious, feel good... all at the same time. Good movie to rent on a rainy day.

...

I bought this coffeemaker about 4 months ago. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but I used a 20% discount coupon from Bed Bath Beyond so it made it a little less painful.

I like the Keurig B70 because I'm the only one in the house that drinks coffee, and I never finish a whole pot. I also struggle with getting the right amount of coffee (strength desired) in other drip machines.

I buy the 80pk at BJ's Wholesale Club. Bottom line, I get a great cup of coffee for less than $.50 a cup. Easier and cheaper than going to Dunkin Donuts or Tim Hortons.

My girls also use it for tea, hot chocolate, and cider. the water stays hot so we no longer have to boil water or "nuke" in the microwave!

Very worth it for me!
...

Oh where to start. I had a dlink router because of Vonage - for about a year. The router conked out already. I ordered a new pc so I bought a new dlink (only one that supports Vonage!) and hooked everything up (pc and router).

Guess what... the dlink router doesn't work on the hardwired desktop (vista). The kids laptops worked fine, but not the desktop.

According to Dell Tech Support, Best Buy Geek Squad, and Time Warner (cable provider) dlink has issues with Vista. Just TRY calling Vonage customer service - horrible. Can barely understand them and they don't have a clue as to what you're talking about. Tried calling dlink customer service - even worse. Can't even get through to a live person.

I had to buy a different router (Netgear N MaxRange - works great and fairly inexpensive $69). Speeds are awesome and everything connects...

I just downloaded Office 2007. I've used Outlook forever - here are the changes that I don't care for in Outlook 2007:

- Can't create a personal address book. The default directs you to your contacts, therefore when you want to send an email to multiple recipients, you have to go through a ton of info (i.e., email addy, phone, fax line, etc).

-I had to create a copy of the contacts folder, rename it, delete the unnecessary info and make that new folder the address book default. LOTS of work.

- If a picture is embedded in the email, you can no longer right click and save the picture to a file. You have to copy the picture, open a picture viewer/editor program (doesn't come with your pc haha) and paste the picture there and save. TOO much work.

- When Outlook 2007 checks for new mail, you get that little envelope icon (double while while checking) in the tray. However, it gets stuck there (like it's always checking) until you waive the mouse over it.

...

I bought this (at about half price $25) from Dell when I purchased my new desktop. I went from Windows XP (old pc) to Windows Vista (new pc). The software is easy to install and easy to use. However, I had to undo a few migrations as it moved items I didn't want.

You can check the items you want to move (applications and files), but it seems to grab things even though you don't check them for the move.

Some of the applications wouldn't work in the new Vista Environment, but I guess that's to be expected. Just another way for Microsoft and other software providers to make more $$$$.....

All in all simple to use.
...

Although I am not a pet owner, a friend of mine sent me the link to this website: The Animal Rescue Site. Not only can you get nice animal-related product (for your pets and you!) if you click the purple button, they will donate .6 bowls of food to rescue shelters. I signed up for the daily reminder and click away first thing in the morning. It's quick, easy, doesn't cost me a thing and provides help to needy animals.

Try it :)

Click on the purple button at The Animal Rescue Site and give food to an animal living in a shelter or sanctuary --at no cost to you.

find it at: theanimalrescutesite.com

...

recorey says "No other choice!" about Time Warner Cable - Company

I have to give Time Warner a big thumbs down. Unfortunately, there is no other choice for broadband cable internet service. I pay $44.95/mo only to lose my connection every 10 mins. When you call customer service they merely reset your modem.

The other gripe I have is that they do absolutely nothing for loyal customers. New customers are paying only $29.95 for service and we loyal users can't catch a break. No deals, nothing. I work from home and require a broadband connection in order to connect with my employer so dial up and DSL is not an option.

I will celebrate the day Verizon FIOS comes to the area!!
...

recorey says "Easy to Use!" about Braun Tassimo Coffee Maker

I've had my Tassimo single Cup Coffee Maker for over a year now. We love, love, love this machine! We can easily change between coffee, tea, hot chocolate, espresso, cappucinos. A little expensive at first to purchase the unit but the coffee discs are reasonable and can be found online or at Bed Bath Beyond and Target. :)

Oh.. and they DO sell milk discs separately now!
...

recorey says "Total Bait & Switch!" about Geico

I was shopping around to be sure I had the best rate with my current insurance company. I went online and did the Geico quote thing. When I got the quote back I was amazed at how much I could save by switching to Geico. Uh huh... right.

I started to take the next step and actually wanted to purchase the policies online. They asked for all the info again (drivers, ages, etc.) When they came back the price was DOUBLE what was actually quoted online, and they refused to insure one of my cars (a new 2007 Lexus IS!!). I tried to call to find out why the price difference was so high and why they wouldn't insure my car. I got the canned message as to "all associates are busy, please leave a message and we'll call you back." I did this 3 times and NO ONE ever returned my call.

We all have good driving records, no tickets, etc. and I never got an explanation as to why the price doubled from the online quote. Every once in a while I get emails from them wanting me to...
...

recorey says "What a great feel good movie" about Martian Child

I was hesitant to watch this movie, as I was really in more of a "comedy" mood. But this movie is a wonderful "feel good" movie! The young actor is absolutely adorable. Even though this is a movie about a child with probably more problems than most children, I think we all can relate.

Definitely rent it if you can! It will make you smile (and cry!)
...

recorey says "This movie is great for all ages" about Enchanted

Ok, I don't have toddlers anymore - I took my daughters to see this movie last weekend (they are 18 & 21). We all enjoyed it! Ok, so we really went for McDreamy Patrick Dempsey.

The movie did bring us back to the Disney days (Little Mermaid, etc). Ok, so it was a little cheesy but it was definitely a feel good movie. I have to admit we've been singing a few of the songs around the house all week.

Good for all ages! Very entertaining.
...
