http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/rbaldwin Fri, 30 Nov 2007 01:50:40 GMT Reviews by rbaldwin http://www.viewpoints.com/Dan-In-Real-Life--118115-review-5b883 I don't even remember seeing previews for this one.  I probably just ignored them and went on with my life.  I am not a huge fan of Steve Carrell--  before this movie.  I don't watch The Office, I did not think that The 40 year old Virgin was the funniest thing ever.  I have always been a leave it person when it comes to Mr. Carrell.  This movie has changed my opinion of him.  I felt like this really showed honestly how people struggle- with the crazy, offbeat family members, with raising kids by yourself after a spouse is gone, with trying to find someone new in your life.  I felt like it was a great movie, I was surprised at how often I laughed out loud but I was more surprised by the times that I cried.  It was really touching and heart warming.... Fri, 30 Nov 2007 01:50:40 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Dan-In-Real-Life--118115-review-5b883 rbaldwin 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/Enchanted--122136-review-b2e70 I only have sons so while I was excited by the previews I wondered if I would have to wait until it came out on DVD.  A friend was taking her daughter and invited me along.  I am so glad that I have seen this movie!!!  It was a quirky combination of animation and real life characters.  I love how they blended it, it reminded me of Roger Rabbit (who remembers that movie with me?)  Anyway I thought they did a great job- the princess was naive sure but wouldn't you be if you had been a cartoon character your whole life?  You can't go wrong with Mc Dreamy in anything- so that was a for sure bonus to me and I think that Susan Sarandon playing the wicked witch must have felt like the role of a lifetime for her!  She was great!... Fri, 30 Nov 2007 01:45:41 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Enchanted--122136-review-b2e70 rbaldwin 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/The-Bourne-Ultimatum-review-ad4a0 I have loved every one of the Bourne movies.  I think that this was really well done to answer the remaining questions that you may have had after watching the first two movies.  Each of the three movies have had so many twists and turns to it- I was concerned that it wouldn't have the ability to get everything answered.  Jason Bourne does find out in the end who he was and how he came to be a spy.  The very end does leave a small opening for a fourth movie- you are not 100% sure what happened to him.  I for one would love more movies in this series.... Sat, 17 Nov 2007 23:03:29 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Million-Dollar-Baby-review-6be20 rbaldwin 3 http://www.viewpoints.com/Meet-the-Robinsons--141748-review-a5a91 We rented this movie and have already watched it twice in three days!  Our six year old loves to "invent" things so this movie could not be more perfect.  I loved the quirky family- I think that it was a great way to show that every family has it's own beat.  Every family doesn't just have  "regular" folks.  The main lesson about never giving up is a huge thing for kids to learn and I think it was a great theme to the movie.  We also realy like how it taught that you can learn so mush from failures, maybe even more than from your successes....
