raykaz says "Kept me alive and on-track in LA." about TomTom - GO 510 GPS Receiver

On a recent trip to LA, my sister let me use her TomTom GPS receiver while driving around the unfamiliar city.
It was a great experience and really made my entire trip much more relaxing. When I would type in my destination, the system would quickly guess where I wanted to go before I even finished writing, and could set up a route in moments. The search feature is also great when you are hungry and want a restaurant nearby, are a tourist and would like suggestions, or simply someone who can't remember the address of that event hall they're supposed to be at right now.
It gave very precise vocal instructions, even within feet of turns or other important points. Also the volume on the device can go up to an obscene maximum which could be good for those that like to play tunes while driving. Without reading any directions I understood how to use it well within 15 minutes and a less tech-savvy person would probably understand it perfectly in under 30.
The only......

raykaz says "AT&T, Why do you hate me so?" about AT&T (formerly Cingular)

I recently switched from T-Mobile to my family's AT&T plan.
I think I might cry.
Though the rollover minutes are a beautiful thing, my family still hasn't used any because we are always too conscious of how many minutes we have left and how many we should "leave so we get more rollover." Each month, between expiring rollover minutes and the minutes we add on, our family gets a net gain of 50 or less rollover minutes. Though these minutes are great to have, we rarely use them. Right now they are just a precaution for that one month when we will accidentally leave a phone on the line with AT&T customer service and it will undoubtedly stay on hold for about 3 days straight.
So sure, the rollover is great but even that isn't good enough to outweigh the plan's tribulations.
Since I have started with AT&T, about 1 out of every 5 calls I dial has failed. Even in coverage areas that give me 5 bars, I click send and my phone apologetically vibrates and tells me that the call could not......

raykaz says "Finally, the ipod has a contender, but it still falls short." about Microsoft - Zune Media Player

When I first met my Zune, I was overjoyed. I loved it more than any other gadget I had ever known. It was easy to use, had cool features that the iPod never considered, and an excellent battery life. Plus, the satisfaction of being able to click the navigation buttons brought me back to sanity after previous mishaps with the iPod's dreaded click wheel.
However, after a year of smooth use, my Zune turned on me. Songs started stopping early, screens started freezing, and the entire device would go haywire and emit sequences of ungodly noises for minutes, even hours, at a time. I was heartbroken.
Upon researching this problem, I found that many other users where having the same troubles. Luckily, Zune customer service agreed to send me a new device, but now I watch my Zune cautiously, and with unease. I fear that one day, my new one will rebel just as the previous one did. Hopefully I can switch over to an iPod before this Zune is completely worthless.......
