      <description>L A Weight Loss is a scam. I joined L A Weight Loss &quot;convinced&quot; by the so-called &quot;trained counselor&quot; I would lose weight. After spending $600&#160;to sign up, I was then pressured into purchasing supplements, LA lite bars and weight loss drinks. I was not told I would be required to purchase anything additional to &quot;aid&quot; me in my weight loss. I called LA Weight Loss to cancel my membership, hoping I could get some of my money refunded.( I decided to cancel my&#160;membership&#160;because I was starving on the plan, it was too expensive, I hated the high pressure sales, and I am about to have surgery and money is tight.) I was told by a &quot;counselor&quot; she would forward my folder to her manager and the manager would call me back. A week went by and I did not receive a phone call. I called the center again and fortunately the Area Sales Manager answered the phone. I explained my situation to her and specified that I do not want to come back to the center. Plus I am having surgery and would be recovering for...... </description>
