rainny says "Love my Black & Decker Mouse Sander." about Black & Decker Mouse Sander/Polisher Kit

I have had my Black & Decker Mouse sander now for about 17 years and it is still going strong. I have never had any problems what so ever with it. It is not cordless but where I do all my wood work I have ample room for plug ins to use with all my tools, I am a 65 year old woman and I can use any tool, as I have them all. My friend and I have been doing wood crafts and wood work for years, she also has two Black & Decker sanders, one like mine and the small one with the ball top to hold with. What I like most about this sander compaired to another one I had, is the easy changing of the sandpaper. My old one you had to loosen one end slip in your paper, tighten then take it to the other end and do the same thing. My Black & Decker Mouse has peel and stick sand paper, you just peel off the old when it is use up and stick on another peice and you are ready to go, only takes a few seconds and you are done. I just this week made some picture frames for a couple of my paintings...
...

rainny says "This Samsung heater replaced two other space heaters." about Holmes Holmes space heater

I purchase two of these Holmes space heaters last winter to replace two of the oil radiator type heaters I had that did not give off any heat unless you were standing and holding your hand practically on the heater. I have one of my Holmes Space heaters on right now in my computer room. Waiting until the snow flies to turn on my main heat. So these heaters are not real small but they do put out the heat. Sometimes in the winter if it is not real cold I will use one of my space heater in whatever room I am spending time in and leave my furnace off for that day just to cut down on my gas bill. These Holmes space heaters I have and have used since the beginning of fall last year are still working great and my home is old and cold since I am surrounded by trees and also have a small stream right by my house so it is always warmer outside than inside. my point is, using these heaters as much as I have my electric bill has not went a penny higher than before I started using them, so...
...

rainny says "This is a "Real" camera." about Samsung - WB5000 Digital Camera

If you want a camera that does everything it says it will then, the Samsung WB5000 is the camera for you. No it is not the small compact camera you can hide in your hand, it is not to big to take with you on trips or family outings. Very light weight. My Samsung takes excellent pictures. It actually has 24x zoom and 12.5 mega pixels stills it has ISO 6400 sensitivity, it shsoots 720p HD videos. I can watch the videos on my tv, I can upload the stills on my computer, even my 12 year old granddaughter can use my camera with no help. When my children bought this camera for me for my birthday, I thought WOW how am I going to learn how to use that thing when I have problems figuring out how to use my cell phone. Well, since both my children have the same camera, it did not take them but a few minutes to teach me how to use it. I know that may sound silly, but my niece recently purchased a new one similar to mine (different brand name) and still doesn't know how to use it correctly. ...
...

rainny says "I use my drill for so many different projects." about Black & Decker Black & Decker Cordless Drill

I purchased my Black & Decker drill over 17 years ago when a friend and I started doing a lot of wood crafts. This is just one of many tools we use. My friend had one and loved it and suggested I buy the same one. Men don't think women know how to use "men" tools as they call any kind of work tool. Not only did we drill tons of different size hole in our projects but after using a drill press we used the Black & Decker as a screw driver also. It came with two screw driver bits with two different tips on each bit. So not only do I use this for crafts I use it to do handy work around the house. I recently put a new roof on a shelter over my grill and instead of nailing my playwood, I used my drill and bought screws to use instead of nails and the job went a lot quicker than pounding every nail with a hammer. In the winter I always put plastic all around my front porch so instead of tacking it on, I find long strips of thin wood and buy small wood screws and put it on that way....
...

When looking at the product for this view I had to run and get me a pepsi and thought WOW this would be a good one to write a view on. My Frigidaire. It use to be white but a few years ago it had a few dents from my grandson when he was a few years old love to pound the front of it with my meat pounder before I could catch him, so I bought the green speckled paint and painted it. It looks brand new. I have had this Frigidaire I know for over 19 or 20 plus years and have never had a problem with it. It does make a little noise I can hear the hum from it at night. It has the pull out basket in the freezer which comes in very handy when you are short like me because the freezer is on the top. The shelfs in the door are deep enought to put large bottles or containers in and it has two bottom pull out drawers that are huge and the smaller one I keep my junk food in. LOL It doesn't have an ice maker, but came with ice trays that make tiny square cubes of ice, which I love, I hate...
...

My ex husband bought me my Craftsman Lawn mower over 15 years ago while we were still married and I am still using it. It is very light weight and easy to start and I can do a lot of mowing with very little gas. I have over 2 acres to mow and I love mowing. I love that I can raise and lower the wheels to fit the hight of the grass. Sometimes by the time I finish mowing which takes me a couple days it is just about time to start over. If I skip a week the grass in my lower yard get a lot higher quicker than my front and back lawn, thats where raising the wheels comes in handy. I get my exercise with my mower. My daughter has the self propelled mower and that thing weighs a ton if you try to push it turned off and to me even heavy when it is running and when helping her mow her grass with hers it was like using a tiller, that thing jerked me all over the yard because I would forget to let go of the bar to use the self propelled part of it. I will stick with my small Craftsman,...
...

My daughter bought me my Dirt Devil over 15 years ago and it is still going strong. It does have the removable bags which only takes a few seconds to change them. I have changed the belt on it a few times and clean the brushes and it cleans like it did the first time I used it. I use it on carpet and my tile floors. The cord winds up around the handle and is very easy to wind and unwind and you use your foot to lower the vacuum and to start it. It is very quiet and you do not see any dust flying around. It is great when it comes to pet hair, since it does not have a extra hose I actually lift it up on my sofa and love seat to remove pet hair and it works great. I don't even know if they make this small brand anymore but I can still find bags for it. So I couldn't find a picture to post. This is a great little vacuum and I have got my daughter money worth out of it.

A few years ago I was diagnosed with severe depression and one of the medicines the doctor put me on was Valium 5 mgs a day, I would take one and would be so calm and felt like I had no problems in the world, at that time I has just started getting my SS disability and also got ssi for a few months so with that I had a medicaid card so I got the brand name Valium. Months later when my SS went up a few dollars I lost the medicaid card and only had Medicare so I had to go on the generic brand of valium, which is the Diazepam. I tried the 5 mg for a long time and could not feel any effects of the pill. I told my doctor that this Diazepam wasn't working like the brand Name Valium. She assured me it was the exact same thing, same ingredients, nothing different, just so people without or with less insurance could afford it. NOT!!!! So what she did was up my dose to 10 mgs twice a day. LOL Now you would think one pill of 10mg would knock me out if the 5mg of Valium relaxed me so...
...

Four years ago my furnace went out and was unrepairable so for 3 winters I had no heat. I bought a brand new Holmes Heater, (oil heater) well you had to stand right on top of it to feel any heat at all from it. My sister had one her husband used in his camper when he worked away from home so she gave it to me, same kind of heater, same problem,,two of them wouldn't even heat my living room. Yes, I sold both in a yard sale the following summer. I think you have to use these in a small area and shut the door to get the area heated up. I did use mine a few times in my bathroom, but had to leave it turned on for an hour with the door shut before it got warm enough to take a bath and after the bath getting out to dry off I nearly froze to death. I finally this past winter bought a gas heater with the fake logs, it is small but does 100 times better than these oil heaters. So they are not for heating your home, they are just for use in a camper or in a small room with the door shut. ...
...

Everyone in my family and all my friends have cell phones, so I thought I would get one to take with me on trips just incase of an emergency. Well, I bought mine over the internet, which was cheaper than buying it in the store. I have had nothing but problems with this phone and now wish I had never signed a 2 year contract with them. You can't get out of it unless you pay around $179 dollars, believe me I tried. I didn't have a printer at the time I purchased my phone so I couldn't print of the rebate which would have made me only having to pay $9.99 for my phone. I even talked to a rep on the site and she said they would mail me the rebate form, well I never got it. My phone ended up costing me over 40 dollars. My bill was supposed be $39 a month plus tax, I never received a bill under 52 dollars. I called the 611 number to talk to a rep. he said he could change it to a cheaper plan, 30 dollars a month but forgot to tell me all the details. My next phone bill was $112 dollars. ...
...

Phentermine, a product that does work. I had gained almost 60 lbs while taking antidepressants, which I finally after a few years just stopped taking them because of the weight gain. My doctor called be obese and wrote me a prescription for the Phentermine, I was a little leary of it because of people saying it gave them chest pains, and quick heart beats. I thought I have to lose this weight as it was depressing me more than the problems I had for depression meds. I took the 37.5 pill once a day when I got up. I had more energy that I knew what to do with it. I cleaned my whole house, then started working on my yard. No chest pains, no fast heart beats no other side effects and YES I lost 17 lbs the first week. I had more energy than I had in years and loved it. Before I was always tired and just didn't feel like doing anything. It actually made a new person out of me, I wasn't to tired to do things with my children and grandchildren, or to do my house work and I lost...
...

I went out and bought the Alli product to try as I had taken the original product through a prescription from the doctor. I did lose a few lbs. But it is just like the prescription version and actually cost more since I had to buy it off the counter and not use my prescription card. If you read the side effects you will know what I am talking about. Yes, gas, this product is terrible for giving you gas and I didn't know at the time I started taking the prescription form, that it was "wet flagulants) so needless to say I ruined several pair of slacks. But you can actually see the fat in your toilet when using this. And that's what you seen in your pants with the gas you get using this Alli. My sister still uses it and has lost a lot of weight and she says "that" problem eventually stops. I didn't wait to find out. So if it works for you, go for it because there are no other OTC products that will help you lose weight but ALLI, I know because I have tried them all with no...
...

I recently received a full sample of the Aveeno Nourish and moisturizine conditioner. I did a review on the Aveeno Sampoo now I would like to tell you about the conditioner. Since I have natural curly hair down to my waist, after I wash it, it is almost impossible to comb the tangles out. I have been using a cheap conditioner I found years ago that can also be used for skin moisture and I used even to shave my legs of all things. After I use the Aveeno Sampoo of course I used the conditioner, I was absolutely amazed, even while rinsing my hair felt like silk. I towel dryed it and got a large tooth come and thought well here goes. Always when I try to comb out my hair after using the conditioner I get hands full of hair with each stroke of the comb. Not this time, the comb went right through my hair and didn't get caught not once. My hair was shiny, (and still is) after 3 days. When I am out in the night air or rain, my hair will frizz up and look horrible. I sometimes roll my...
...

Aveeno Nourish hair care products is a new product I have just recently tried. I have very long and natural curly hair and it is so hard to find a good shampoo as my hair is very dry also. I have always colored my hair since high school and also I love to be out in the sun, which drys my hair as so does trying to use a straightner on it to get out the curls. I have needed a shampoo that will clean my hair yet leave it moisterized and smelling great. I found it with the Aveeno Moisturizing Shampoo. My hair feel totally different now and stays looking good until my next shampoo. Having so much hair and it being so dry and brittle, my hair dresser told me to wash my hair only once a week, which would help with the drying and frizzy problems. Aveeno has different shampoos for different hair types, which not all do and not all do what they say they will do. I have tried them all in my 65 years and I have finally found one that works like it says it will. I would definaltely recommend...
...

I have used it every day and night and have not seen any results from using this. I think all these products no matter the company name is just a ruse to get your money. I don't have tons of wrinkles just some fine lines around my eyes and on my cheeks and yes they are still there just like they were before I started using this product. I am beginning to think the only way to get rid of lines and wrinkles is botox, and who can afford that all the time? NOT me. I am 65 and like my mom, I never wash my face with soap, so I think that is why at my age I do not have many lines on my face. But just wanted to let people know this product from Loreal does not do what it says, so don't waste your money hoping for a miracle. It ain't going to happen. Just...
...

rainny says "No Thanks." about O, The Oprah Magazine

A friend brought me several magazines one day and one of them was O' The Oprah Magazine. I will read anything once and if I don't care for it I don't care to read it again. I didn't care much for Oprah's magazine, maybe because I don't care much for Oprah anymore. I use to love her show when she first started on tv, she had real people, real stories, stories that kept you wanting to make sure you didn't miss her show. Over the years as she got more famous and a lot richer, I think her whole attitude has changed. I have stopped on her show while clicking through the channels looking for something interesting to watch a few times. Now I don't watch it everyday so this is based on just the few times I have caught a little of her show. So I don't need anyone jumping down my throat on this. But in my opinion her show now is just about who's who and not oridinary people. It's the emmy winners, the rich sport figures, her friend Gale, and sad to say mostly about African Americans. ...
...

rainny says "Quick, easy and yummy." about Dinty Moore Microwave Bowls

I first seen this product when visiting my sister, she had some on top of her freezer. I ask if she wanted them in the freezer, she said no that they didn't need to be refrigerated. She said her husband that works in the coal mines takes them in his lunch and loves them. She let me try one. Then I started buying them. They have several different ones to choose from, and I have tried them all. I live by myself, children grown so I don't like to cook big meals just for me so these are perfect when I just want to pop something in the microwave and not fool with pots and pans. If you look around you can actually find them cheaper in certain stores. One store in my town has them for almost $3.00 each the other store down the street, they are $2.00 each. These Dinty Moore Microwave Bowls are really good and each bowl is enough to fill you up as a meal. I am glad I found these, especially because I don't have to freeze them if I buy several and you don't have to thaw them......

rainny says "The smell even makes me feel better." about Vicks VapoRub

Wow, I read the reviews on Vicks VapoRub and found something new that I haven't tried but I will tonight. A couple people mentioned using it on your feet to help with colds and callous's, I am very picky about my feet and I bet it would soften them by applying the vicks and putting on socks, I do that with lotions.

My family, like everyone elses's that wrote a review, has used Vicks VapoRub for ever. I know when my siblings and I were just little bitty things, if we got a cold, fever etc. out came the Vicks. I am 63 and my medicine cabinet has never been without a jar of Vicks in it. I still use it and I actually like the smell, maybe because I know I will feel better in the morning. I rub it on my neck and chest even on my back between my shoulders then heat up a cloth to cover the areas where I put the Vicks. When I have a chest cold and use the Vicks I will pull the covers up so I can breath in that smell even better. When my children were small and didn't feel good,...
...

rainny says "Doesn't work for everyone." about Cymbalta

I read all the review wrote on this product and just by reading them I see that Cymbalta does not work the same for everyone. Seven years ago I was diagnosed with severe depresssion and first put on zoloft, which did nothing for me, then it was Prozact, then another one and another one, the last antidepressant the doctor put me on was Cymbalta. I took it for a year and nothing, I didn't feel better, I didn't sleep better, I still cried everyday and worst of all I kept putting on the weight which I started gaining from the first anidepressant I took. I went from 115 lbs up to 173 just from taking antidepressants not only did I gain weight on all of them, they keep you constipated. One day I made up my mind, no more pills. I stopped taking the Cymbalta, I didn't try to ween myself off I just stopped taking them. I had no withdrawal symtems of any kind. It was like I hadn't been taking anything, I felt the same as when I was taking them. No difference in the way I was feeling...
...
