rainny says "No Thanks." about O, The Oprah Magazine

A friend brought me several magazines one day and one of them was O' The Oprah Magazine. I will read anything once and if I don't care for it I don't care to read it again. I didn't care much for Oprah's magazine, maybe because I don't care much for Oprah anymore. I use to love her show when she first started on tv, she had real people, real stories, stories that kept you wanting to make sure you didn't miss her show. Over the years as she got more famous and a lot richer, I think her whole attitude has changed. I have stopped on her show while clicking through the channels looking for something interesting to watch a few times. Now I don't watch it everyday so this is based on just the few times I have caught a little of her show. So I don't need anyone jumping down my throat on this. But in my opinion her show now is just about who's who and not oridinary people. It's the emmy winners, the rich sport figures, her friend Gale, and sad to say mostly about African Americans. ...
...

rainny says "Quick, easy and yummy." about Dinty Moore Microwave Bowls

I first seen this product when visiting my sister, she had some on top of her freezer. I ask if she wanted them in the freezer, she said no that they didn't need to be refrigerated. She said her husband that works in the coal mines takes them in his lunch and loves them. She let me try one. Then I started buying them. They have several different ones to choose from, and I have tried them all. I live by myself, children grown so I don't like to cook big meals just for me so these are perfect when I just want to pop something in the microwave and not fool with pots and pans. If you look around you can actually find them cheaper in certain stores. One store in my town has them for almost $3.00 each the other store down the street, they are $2.00 each. These Dinty Moore Microwave Bowls are really good and each bowl is enough to fill you up as a meal. I am glad I found these, especially because I don't have to freeze them if I buy several and you don't have to thaw them......

rainny says "The smell even makes me feel better." about Vicks VapoRub

Wow, I read the reviews on Vicks VapoRub and found something new that I haven't tried but I will tonight. A couple people mentioned using it on your feet to help with colds and callous's, I am very picky about my feet and I bet it would soften them by applying the vicks and putting on socks, I do that with lotions.

My family, like everyone elses's that wrote a review, has used Vicks VapoRub for ever. I know when my siblings and I were just little bitty things, if we got a cold, fever etc. out came the Vicks. I am 63 and my medicine cabinet has never been without a jar of Vicks in it. I still use it and I actually like the smell, maybe because I know I will feel better in the morning. I rub it on my neck and chest even on my back between my shoulders then heat up a cloth to cover the areas where I put the Vicks. When I have a chest cold and use the Vicks I will pull the covers up so I can breath in that smell even better. When my children were small and didn't feel good,...
...

rainny says "Doesn't work for everyone." about Cymbalta

I read all the review wrote on this product and just by reading them I see that Cymbalta does not work the same for everyone. Seven years ago I was diagnosed with severe depresssion and first put on zoloft, which did nothing for me, then it was Prozact, then another one and another one, the last antidepressant the doctor put me on was Cymbalta. I took it for a year and nothing, I didn't feel better, I didn't sleep better, I still cried everyday and worst of all I kept putting on the weight which I started gaining from the first anidepressant I took. I went from 115 lbs up to 173 just from taking antidepressants not only did I gain weight on all of them, they keep you constipated. One day I made up my mind, no more pills. I stopped taking the Cymbalta, I didn't try to ween myself off I just stopped taking them. I had no withdrawal symtems of any kind. It was like I hadn't been taking anything, I felt the same as when I was taking them. No difference in the way I was feeling...
...

rainny says "I give this site a two thumb DOWN." about InboxDollars

I would not advise anyone to join Inbox dollars. I joined a long long time ago and and sorry I did. In all that time I qualified for ONLY 2 surveys. Not sure how much you get paid for clicking on the emails but it sure didn't add up very fast. Just like another review I read on here, I also didn't read the fine print. Big big no no. It took me forever to finally earn my 30 dollars for pay out, then they took $3.00 of that just to send me the money. I finally did get my check for $27 dollars after having to keep clicking on their emails for a month then wait another month to get your check.

The part that even upset me more was, after requesting my payout, I got more emails from them in the following month (which you had to click on or not get paid) than I got in 5 months while trying to earn money to make my payout. Thats where they think they get you. You make a few dollars and think, well I will just keep clicking because I hate to lose any of the money I made waiting...
...

I just had to write about BzzAgent as I just joined a little over a week ago, I heard about it from a friend that has been a member for some time now. So now I am a Bzz agent. You really have to read everything when you join so you will know what to do and not to do. I am still learning. I have already got my first campaign, Listerine Whitening strips, I got them in the mail a few days ago, they send enough for you to try and extras to give to your friends or family or anyone you want to let them try them. I will get points for writing a review about this product. I can't wait to see what other campaigns I can get in. I actually signed up for Viewpoints from finding it and writing a review about it on the Frog Pond. I have sent emails and invited several friends and realitives to join Bzz and Viewpoints. So now I am Bzzzzzzzzzzzz ing everyone to join and have some fun and learn about new products, web sites, you name it and you can find out about it on BzzAgent. I......

rainny says "Loved this show from the beginning." about Ghost Whisperer

The first time I watched Ghost Whisperer was just by accident, flipping channels and it was coming on, the first episode, which I thought at the time I just caught a good movie. After it was over I was thinking WOW I wish this was on every week that it would be a great series. The when it said preview of next week, I amost jumped for joy. So being a fan of this type of show or movie and also I believe in ghost I was hooked. I love this show, I never miss it. Friday night at 8:00 oclock I am already comfy with my pepsi and snacks, "enough to do me through the whole movie" I don't want to have to run for snacks afraid I will miss something, so I am ready when the movie starts. I was really disappointed when her best friend and co-owner of her shop was killed off the show in the airplane crash episode, I really thought they worked really good together in as they were both great actresses. I don't care much for the lady and I can't even think of her name, that took her friends......

rainny says "I never miss an episode of Bones. " about Bones

Bones is on my list of the movies on tv that I will stop whatever I am doing and grab and snack and never miss an episode. Bones and Booth make a great pair. I love how they make her look so unworldly so to speak, like everything we normally do has to be explained to her. Also how she jumps right to the point when describing how someone died and Booth gives her that look and shakes his head, then tells her how she should have said it. It has a lot of suspense and humor, but they have a serious side also. Some one else said they couldn't wait til the "kiss" I am with them, I can't wait till they get under that mistle toe. lol This show is great, but this is the kind of movies I like, murder and mystery with sometimes a little humor thrown in and of course there is always some romance going on with someone in just about every tv show or movie you watch. I even turn my phone off when Bones comes on and a few of my other favorites that I never miss. After watching the first......

rainny says "Bath & Body products can't be beat." about Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Body Lotion Energy - Mandarin Lime

Bath & Body products are my all time favorites. This one, Mandarin Lime, was a new one for me to try and I love it. It smells fantastic and my skin feels so smooth. I have very dry skin especially in the winter months so I will use 2 or 3 Bath & Body products with each bath. I have several different scents and I buy the bubble bath, lotion, and spray and bar soap in every scent when I purchase any of their products and I use them all. At Christmas time, my sisters, my daughter and I all go shopping together, Bath & Body is the first store we hit. We all know what we are getting as a gift for Christmas, because we all love the lotions, candles, soaps etc. from Bath & Body. It is a little more expensive than some other brands but it is worth the extra money. It is nothing for each of us to spend at least $70 to $100 dollars here when Christmas shopping. Buy one of their beautiful baskets and fill it up. A great gift that we know everyone will love. My favorite thing......

rainny says "Make sure you know if your dog has dry or oily skin." about Frontline Plus

If you use any type of flea or tick products on your pet, check with your Vet first. But know your pet, which is very important. You know more about your own pet than any Vet does. I have a 9 year old yorkie and keep her shots updated, take her to my Vet just for check ups. They have always given me Advantage for my dog because she has very very dry skin. This product worked great for over a month, usually 3 months before I had to apply it again. A few months ago my neice gave me some dog shampoo, all natural ingredients, natural oatmeal shampoo. She looked like a different dog, no more dry skin. So a month later I took her to the Vet, she was very sick and needed surgery. After she was better, I took her back for her shots and get flea and tick meds. Well the Vet gave me Frontline, I told him the other Vet always gave me Advantage, he said no her skin is not dry at all and this will work great.

It didn't work at all, I applied it to my dog just like you are supposed...
...
