rainbow77 says "What would you do if you had to fend for yourself on an island?" about Castaway

Tom Hanks was marvelous as Chuck Nolan, the FedEx guy. He does a superb job being a man whose plane goes down and is lost at sea, washed ashore and island and has to fend for himself for 4 years. He showed all the emotions you would expect of a person in his predicament. He befriends a soccor ball and displays human emotion toward an inanimate object that he pretends is human. It is interesting to see what he comes up with to cook, hunt, and just plain survive. The beginning goes by fast and you are plummted into a story line with a plane in a storm, and the small crew all die and here is Chuck Nolan who is the sole survivor, though no one back home realizes he is alive.

Great concept for an emotional, human movie.

...

rainbow77 says "If you experience something over and over, might be a clue" about Groundhog Day

The first time I saw this movie I just thought it was funny, but odd. Then I would catch myself watching it when it was on cable channels on tv. After a few times of watching it, I got hooked as a fan. It was one of those oddball comedic movies with a life lesson.

I laughed at the groundhog, cried when he figured out he had to get something done right for the day not to repeat itself over and over. It touched my heart when he tried helping the old man who was dying. He tried over and over to get to this guy sooner and help me in many different ways.

Even after you figure it out, it is fun to watch it again and again and again and .....

...

rainbow77 says "You'll stand up and sing" about Sister Act 1992

Whoopi was great in this movie. Loved the inspiration she gave to the nuns and the way she helped them get their groove on. I like movies with good music and talent in it. This was my type of movie. Made me laugh, made me cry, and made me want to get up there on screen with them and sing and dance. I would love to go to Mass with music like that!!...

rainbow77 says "Spider pig will stay in your head" about The Simpsons Movie

The Simpsons movie was goofy, but my favorite part is Homer's buddy the "Spider Pig". The song he sings, couldn't get that silly song out of my head for days. Homer makes the movie hillarious in parts. Not the best comedy animated movie, but worth renting. ...

rainbow77 says "Thrilling and different superhero" about Iron Man

I loved Iron Man. It was a portrayal of a different kind of superhero, kinda like the Dark Knight series of Batman. Superman and Spiderman had special abilities in their bodies. Batman and Iron Man had cool suits/armor to protect them with all the high tech gizmos to kick some enemy butt. I loved it....

rainbow77 says "Jack Sparrow is my hero" about Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

Of the Pirates series, the curse of the black pearl is my favorite. The storyline was interesting, Jack Sparrow was fun to get to know and watch, and the special effects of the dead pirates in the moonlight was great. I saw the other two Pirates movies and the first is my favorite. And by the time the 3rd one came out, Jack wasn't as fun to watch. Pick up this movie and get it a whirl!...

rainbow77 says "Good agents, poor service and payment on claims" about American Family Insurance

Having to report damage to our home, not a problem. But actually dealing with getting the money to get the roof fixed, that was a pain in the neck. American Family wouldn't give all the money for the fix and the company that did the repairs needed 1/2 down to start the job, so it was a touchy time for us to deal with American Family. We'd change insurance companies, but do not who has better process for claims and getting the money to us. As far as coverage for automobile, that is better than the homeowner's insurance. Pretty quick and concise and not really a problem with taking car to dealer or body repair shop to get fixed and painted on time.
...
