rachelv says "Awesome pick-up truck!" about Playskool Wheel Pals: Cushy Cruisin' Pickup Truck

My son received the Playskool Wheel Pals: Cushy Crusin' Pickup Truck for his first birthday. The price of it was about fifteen dollars, which is a little expense for what you get. One the other hand, my son loves the truck! It is big and somewhat soft, so my furniture and baseboards aren't ruined. The wheels move easily and the colors are fun. It does make noise, but it is difficult for my son to push it, since the button is the bumper in the front of the truck. You basically have to crash it in order to get the noises to work. I can't even do it one handed. I have to hold the truck with one hand, and then push the button with the other. He has another car that you push the top to make the noise, and he keeps trying to do that with this one too. So far, it seems like a very sturdy truck and I think he will get a lot of use out of it. I think it would also be great to play with outside. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!
...

rachelv says "Fun toy cars for little ones" about Parents Ready, Set, Go! Toy Cars

My son received these cars for his first birthday and he loves them. They are soft, chunky cars that he can easily hold onto and manipulate. They come in fun designs and colors (a set of 4). One is a little bug with flowers, one is a race car, another is a taxi, and the fourth is a pick-up truck. They are the "pull and go" type of cars. My son loves to watch these cars race across the room. He is still figuring out how to make them go, but he loves to try them out. One negative is that the pulling motion sounds a bit like sheep baaing, which is a little weird. I am unable to comment on price as he received these as a gift, but they are awesome, fun cars. They don't make any noises or light up as far as I can tell. My son loves the cars that make noises. I also love that they are somewhat soft, so when they run into my baseboards, there isn't any damage. I have been very happy with them and am sure they will be played with for several more months!
...

rachelv says "The True Fit is a safe, comfortable car seat!" about Compass True Fit Car Seat

The First Year's True Fit is a safe, comfortable convertible car seat! I bought this for my son when he outgrew his baby seat. Since he was only 7 months old, we had to put it into our car rear-facing.

In the rear-facing position, this seat can be a bit of a pain. It is difficult to get into the vehicle at the correct angle. It can also be difficult to loosen and tighten the straps in this position because the strap gets buried between the two seats. It also takes up a lot of room. My front passenger seat had to be pushed almost all the way forward!

I do love that it is really comfortable for my son, and has lots of padding.

Now that my son is over 1 year old, I have placed this seat in the forward facing position, and it is so much easier to use. It is easier to install and to adjust the straps. My son loves being able to look out the window since now he is in a higher position.

One other negative thing about the straps is that sometimes they can shift so that one is longer...
...

rachelv says "High chair works great!" about Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair

I purchased the Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair when my son was about 6 months old. He is now 1 year old, and we are still using it! I love that it doesn't take up a lot of space, and it sits nicely on one of our dining chairs. It does make it hard if I need that extra chair because I have to find somewhere else to put the baby. I love that it has straps that hold him in, even if I don't put the tray on. I love that the tray can go in the dishwasher! I have to remember to shake out all the excess water before putting it on my baby though. I am not a huge fan of the cup holders in the tray because my son can't reach them very well. I also have to be very careful to make sure the tray is in the locked position because sometimes my son can kick it and it will come off. The other thing I dislike is that it doesn't fit under my table. I have a counter-height table and chairs, and this high chair doesn't quite fit with the table. It works great on the chair though! I...
...

rachelv says "My baby loves these!" about Gerber Finger Foods - Carrot Wagon Wheels

My baby started eating the Gerber Carrot Wagon Wheels at 9 months old, and he loved them! I tasted them, and I wasn't all that impressed, but he likes them, and that is what is important. He still likes them now, at 13 months. I like the shape since they are big enough for him to hold onto and manipulate in his hand. I have only bought them if I can find them on sale, since they are a bit expensive at regular price. I mostly let him have them in the car because they are an easy snack I can hand him while driving! They also don't make a huge mess like some of the other snacks (though they do leave some crumbs). My son also likes the Apple flavored kind. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone interested in getting their baby to like more vegetables. These aren't sweet like some of the other Gerber products, and I love that! I would definitely recommend these to anyone that is looking for an easy snack for their baby.
...

rachelv says "I would choose another microwave." about Jenn-Air JMV8166BAB

I have been thoroughly disappointed in this microwave. We bought Jenn-air appliances, thinking they would be the best. Plus, we LOVED the glass front. This microwave has had one problem after the next. In fact, we have had 3 so far! The first one blew up within the first few weeks. The second shorted out as soon as we plugged it in. And no, it wasn't a wiring problem. The third one works, but has some minor issues with fan that we have lived with. This microwave looks beautiful, but there are definitely some bugs, and it is huge!
...

I love this restaurant. It is one of my very favorites. My husband and I will always split one of their combo meals. My favorite is their brisket. You can also dine in or take out. Their pizza is really good too. I suggest signing up for their emails. The jokes are funny and sometimes you can become a secret shopper!
...

rachelv says "Awesome seat! Love it!" about Chicco KeyFit

I love this seat! I love that it has a base that you just strap into the car. It is so easy to install. I feel confident that my baby is safe in this seat. It is easy to clean - I just put it into the washer on the hand wash cycle and it came out perfectly.

The things I dislike: it is heavy. My baby is almost 20 pounds, and I can hardly carry him around. I also dislike that it is too large to fit into a shopping cart well.

Overall, an awesome seat. I am so glad I purchased it!
...
