quest4much says "My Tivo knows me" about TiVo - Digital Video Recorder

My Tivo knows me. There are certain shows I watch regularly. On occasion, the show has a 2 hour special. No problem, Tivo records it and I didn't have to do a thing. Its automatic. On occasion, a show plays at a different time, no problem, Tivo records it. It also has the option to put your shows in order of priority. If there is a conflict between shows, it will record the show that I have listed as higher in priority. My shows are there waiting for me so I can go out and live life. When I am ready to be a couch potato, its ready for me. I can search for movies, comedy, sci fi shows, anything I'm interested in. I like that because sometimes I want nothing but action, and other times I want a romantic comedy. Tivo has a recommendations section. Based on what you already watch, it will recommend similar shows. Tivo has a new travel box, you can take it with you while you are traveling and still watch your shows. I haven't really looked into it yet but I plan on checking it out. Going...

quest4much says "Wow, thats a big TV" about Toshiba - 42HL67 Television

I have been enjoying my new Toshiba Regza 42" High Definition television. My old TV broke, so it was time to get a new one. I just got done reading the owners manual. There are a lot of ways to personalize your viewing. I enjoy that. I can't actually get the high definition channels because you need a special cable box and I didn't want to the spend the extra money. So I am just sticking with digital for now. Also, if you have Tivo it appears that you need to change a few things to get a clearer picture. Not too much trouble (I love my Tivo, and I would take the TV back if it didn't work with Tivo). I also have an HD DVD recorder that works, and a VCR/DVD player, which also works fine. Everything is hooked up and working great. New technology forces consumers to buy what the future is making instead of being able to get what they actually want. This will work just fine and it does have the highly personalized settings. The bonus is...my husband loves it! —...

quest4much says "I have always liked HP products" about HP Pavilion A6110N desktop computer

I just purchased the Hewlett Packard HP Pavillion a6110n. I have always liked Hewlett Packard products. What makes this different is the software. The new Vista software controls the computer and I would prefer to personalize more of my personal computer. Vista software is so new, that it still has a conflict with other programs. I am sure this will be worked out in time. This computer (in spite of Vista) is fast and efficient. It gets the job done. It also has a stylish look. I asked the retailer if it was possible to down grade back to Windows XP, they said no. The new computers are made for Vista only. Down grading is not possible. So I am extremely pleased with the hardware and not so pleased with the software. Overall, if I had to make the purchase again, I would. I enjoy Hewlett Packard so much, I bought a printer as...
