queen-of-the-cats says "Good to the last drop" about Hamilton Beach BrewStation Deluxe 12-Cup Coffee Maker

the model I have is black so that may be the reason it is hard to see the water when I am filling it. Sometimes I overfill and end up with water on the countertop. Oh well, there is always a sponge for that. Otherwise I would give this coffeemaker the highest rating of any I have ever owned. When I first brought it home, my husband balked, not liking new things but has now grown to like not having to deal with the carafe. One-handed operation is a great convenience on those mornings when he is trying to get that travel mug, laptop and his lunch, as well as the garbage bag out the door! The absence of a carafe also means that the coffee is contained inside an insulated chamber which is not being "reheated" on a burner and therefore ending up with a scorched taste. Much better. ...

queen-of-the-cats says "Perfect cookies every time" about Wearever Airbake Non-stick cookie sheets

My mom gave me one of these cookie sheets several years ago and I had to buy another one. I load one while the other is in the oven. I just won't use any other kind. Even if you leave the cookies in a little too long they don't burn. They come out perfect every time. You shouldn't put these baking sheets in the dishwasher but you don't need to, they practically wipe clean. So I guess there really isn't a "con" to add to this product. If you try it once, you'll never go back to the old fashioned kind. And they don't rust or darken either. All of the Air bake products are worth buying...the cake pans too. ...

queen-of-the-cats says "Big is beautiful" about Friskies Canned Cat Food

Living on the farm people often ask me if I have "barn cats" The answer if a qualified yes. Yes, they do live in the barn because there are fourteen of them and a HOUSE with fourteen cats could BEmore like a barn. But they do get put away overnight in the old milk room, with a heater in the winter and a fan in the summer and each has his or her own dish and bed. And each is spayed or neutered. No one has to go out if he or she would prefer staying inside on cold winter days. There is dry food available at all times and at bedtime there is always a couple of large 13.5 oz cans of Friskies canned cat food for supper. No one is ever missing at supper time! No wonder they voted me Queen of the Cats!...

queen-of-the-cats says "My baby ate the dingo" about Dingos Rawhide (minis)

and she just loved it. I also sent some to my "doggie niece", a little papillion, named Scamp and she was hooked too. These are the greatest dog treats ever invented. Annie, my little yellow lab favors them above all others. I think she even prefers them to sneaking the cat food! They are a little pricey but worth it when you love your dog as much as I love mine. We just mix them up with the other treats and she proudly carries it off to her special corner when it's Dingo time....

queen-of-the-cats says "This vacuum SUCKS!!! I mean really..." about Dyson Vacuum - Upright All Floors Bagless Cyclonic Vacuum

I am a person who hates to vacuum but with a couple of long-haired kitties in the house it's something that can't be avoided. Also since moving from town 17 years ago, I still haven't gotten over how the lack of sidewalks contributes to the mess in my house! My vet is actually the one who showed me her Dyson vac and I was sold. As soon as we put in the new carpet, I bought one. One of my favorite things is the lo-o-ong hose that reaches all the way to the top of the stairway. No more carrying the vacuum up the steps with me. The attachments are on board and easy to use. It's a cinch to empty. I found it to be 100% simple to use. Now if they could just find a way to put a muffler on a vacuum cleaner the cats would come out of hiding. Meow!...
