pwhebert says "Requires monthly fee on phone and them for traffic service" about TomTom - One XL GPS Navigation System

The Tom Tom's Maps are incredibly INACCURATE and consistently wrong. The points of interest don't include normal things like Auto Parts stores, grocery stores, etc. The directions it provides are consistently incorrect. For the expense, it is not worth it. The I-phone or blackberry has better directions and maps.

The calculated arrival time never takes into account your traveling speed.

Real-time traffic is a monthly fee.
...

pwhebert says "never have had a consistent bill" about AT&T

I have had Cingular for over two years, and every month there is a mistake in my bill. I have never, ever had a consistent bill in the two years in which I have had their service. Their in-store options are useless, they always refer you to Customer Service.

There should be just a flat-rate fee for monthly use, no minute limits, etc. The same should apply to data usage.
...

pwhebert says "To manny extra charges" about DIRECTV

Direct TV has nice features, except that it does not carry Cox Sports TV, the only channel in which we can watch our local NBA team, and neither is it carried on our local cable company, which is an utterly ridiculous situation. Direct TV also requires the use of a digital converter box, and you have to pay for that for each one you wish to use, so if you have 5 TVs, you need five boxes, each at $4.99/month.

The fact that you require a box also defeats a lot of the features which are builit into your television.

The stranglehold that Direct TV has on the NFL Sunday ticket is also ridiculous. This product should be available to ALL NFL fans, not just those that can have the ability to put satellite dishes on their property. This eliminates many apartment renters.

They have a similar stranglehold on the NBA League Pass.

They also are charging us for NBA League Pass when we specifically requested not to be charged.
...

pwhebert says "Drives really nice and is safe." about Ford Expedition - 2002

This vehicle was purchased new. It drove really well for a long time and still does. However, the radiator went out after four years and was not covered by an extended warranty.

The transmission also went out after only 87,000 miles (after the factory warranty of 36,000 miles), and was only covered by a fraction by our extended warranty company.
...

pwhebert says "Its okay but could be better" about State Farm

I have had State Farm for years, since I was 15 years old and able to drive. They are a fairly good company. However, their homeowner's insurance is extremely expensive and their banking options are somewhat limited. The fact that they have not been able to write homeowner's policies in Louisiana since well before Katrina indicates that they are rather restrictive.

I had to temporarily stay in Alabama for a year due to a rotational assignment at work and they would not write me a renter's insurance policy due to our homeowner's claims due to Katrina. I found that to be a bit ridiculous since I was going to be renting in an entirely different geographical area than where I owned my home. That's just nuts. Although, car insurance was much, much cheaper there.
...
