Topamax was great at controlling migraines but I hated the side effects. I found myself forgetting how to say the simplest of words. As a graduate student, this was embarrassing in class when I had to do presentations. I could look at a word, know what it meant but completely forget the pronunciation and these were easy words like "absolutely" and "realistic". I became very forgetful and depressed. It did help me lose weight. I lost about twenty pounds in the month I was taking it. I think part of the reason is it made carbonated beverages taste metallic so I quit drinking sodas. It also made my appetite disappear. However, when I quit taking it, I gained the weight back and then some. </p>... They're very loyal, smart, and they don't shed. They are great with my kids and my kids adore them. I must say that yorkies require dedicated owners. Since they are prone to various health problems, they need an owner who is willing to shell out money on vet bills. My older yorkie (he is 8) requires a special diet and is on lifelong medications. Of course, not all yorkies are destined to have health problems but I think that is something all potential owners should consider.
