What a rip off buying into those boxes. I had to buy nine and still don't work. can't wait to get that Vazio 42 inch tv so won't have to deal with these boxes for the stress of picture not coming in least 90% of time and then not all channel don't even come in. Don't want cable. Hope never have to buy another box ever again fo too costly.
...

whaledaker says "I think they are great" about tv converter boxes

I have two A Zenith and a Apex. They both work well but have a few different options. They both are analog pass through, which means the can also allow regular tv signals to come through as well as the new digital signal. they both have a guide button to show what is on thru menu features. the remotes do not work on one anothers conversion boxes. They both can record shows to VCR but you must leave the box unit on and remeber to set your vcr timer to record the channel on which you receive your box signal and not the channel the show is on.
...

virgostrawberry says "another goverment ruling" about tv converter boxes

this is actually about the tv converter boxes.... I actually think it is just another way for the goverment to run you tv viewing sure you may get a few more stations but there are a few boxes out there that are not worth a hoot a few of my friends have a magnovox converter box and they are having problems getting channels in even with a good antena they move it to one end of the room and might get 3 stations move it to another part of the room loose those stations and get two other stations i have good luck with my digital stream converter box (radio shack)...
