The Sopranos tells the story of Anthony Soprano (a sensational James Gandolfini). He is one of the most important gangsters in New York- and he's having a crisis. In most of the shows, he appears talking to his psychiatrist (played by Lorraine Bracco) about the problems in his mob life. It's a whole different side of the mafia we are used to. The series does a lot of references to other crime movies, like Godfather and The Goodfellas. It's top entertainment, a television series so rare and original. One of the best television shows of all time. A true classic.

Simply the best tv show in the history of tv.Season 1 2 3 4 5 and 6 are all awesome.Cant wait for the movie.My fav is season 2 first then 4 then 3 then 1 then 5 and then 6.Really really hope they make a movie.It would be stupid and idiotic not to.They will make tons of money. Alot of the characters are dead now so they would have to bring in new people,make Chuck Zito,Deniro someone that can challenge Tony from NY so we wont know...

The Sopranos.

If you haven't seen it, rent it. Be prepared to be addicted. Never watched it when it was on cable and one winter night with nothing to do I decided to see what all the hype was about.

This series is very entertaining and has you wanting more. With it not being children friendly its a great late night show you and your significant other can cozy up to and watch.

The Sopranos is probably one of the best action shows of all time. I didn't get into watching the show until a couple seasons in, but when I started to finally watch it with my husband, I was hooked. I've never really been into Mafia movies or anything like that, but this one had real-life action that seemed to catch my attention. I was a faithful watcher every week when it was on. We even sat many times and watched the reruns...partly so I could catch up on some of the characters backgrounds and personalities. If you're into Mafia movies or programs, you will definitely love this show!...

While I never got to watch the Sopranos on HBO, catching up with the DVDs is just fine. This show is amazing. Great acting, great characters, interesting plots...I'm so sad I have almost seen every epidsode. But even still, it is a show to be watched over and over. It can even be funny, which is pretty incredible considering the plot lines. Yes, it is sometimes graphic, but so worth every minute for the great acting of Edie Falco and James Gandolfini alone. ...

I had to wait until the whole of this excellent series came out on DVD to watch it. I have no patience with series TV, and very little time to watch it.

Once I started getting The Sopranos-I ordered the whole series from Netflix-it quickly became part of my nigthly routine. I don't watch much TV, although I do like Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. The writers' strike means I'mnot missing them, because I immediately got hooked on The Sopranos and had to watch an episode a night until we finished it.

My husband, who does enjoy TV but is the only person I know who didn't like The Godfather, initially resisted. He was quickly hooked as well, and will often remind me to start the nightly episode.

The acting is just without parallel. The pacing varies a little, I would not agree with the "non stop action" tag, but for once the violence actually advances the plot.

The language, sex and violence are all present and very explicit, so suspend your shockability to enjoy this, the best TV I have...

If you aren't offended by bad language, nudity, violence, or drug use, this is the show for you!! I am not an avid TV watcher, nor have I ever gotten into a series before this one. The Sopranos, in my opinion, is the best TV show ever made. I count my complete seasons DVD collection among my most prized possessions! This show never fails to entertain, never gets old no matter how many times you watch it, and never fails to make me feel better after a crummy day....
